Our 6490 CW printer is offline, it went office for the XP laptop connected a few weeks ago and now the Windows 7 desktop shows it as offline, so we cannot print at all. Tried to re-establish factory setting on the Menu for wireless and then res-et the wirless configuation. It finds the SSID but after typing in password etc it cannot estbalish a connection?
I've got 3 computers (2 desk 1 lap) all running Windows 7. I have 2 network printers. The printers are wired to one of the desktops and the other 2 computers connect via network. The printers work fine once I add them to each computer, but once I restart, the printers appear offline on the other 2 computers even though they work fine on the desktop to which they are wired.I've had this setup for a while and only recently this started happening. It looks like Win7 is messing with the IPs of the printers. I'm not an expert on how to find the IP addresses of the printers though and set them to static (if this indeed is the problem)
Recently forgot my wireless password so i reset it and ever since then my printer says its offline and wont print.IVE TRIED UNINSTALLING IT AND REINSTALLING IT but whenever i got to control panel and add printer it never finds it.its definately connected to my wireless because it says connected on the printer.
I have just moved printer locations and am with a satellite and not broadband now.My printer shows Network Printer is not availble and offline. How do I fix this. I have restarted comptuer, looked on line but to no avial
I have 2 XP machines, both connected to a network switch which connects them to a print server attached to a printer. The last print server recently died and has been replaced, but the problem remains. I've downloaded the driver from the printer manufacturers website and installed on both XP machines, one functions fine but after each reboot the printer is grayed out on the other. Removing it and adding again fixes this until the next reboot.I am aware of some networking issues at this site which result in a few dropped packets between sites but shouldn't be an issue here since they are all attached to the same switch.
My HL-3070CW printer allways go offline, I have to reboot the system again befor it will print i don't know why,it's a network printer and it happens in one of the system that uses it not all the system how i resolve it.
Just upgrade from an old DIR-524 (or something like that) to a DIR-655. Set up was easy all is working good with the computers. |However, I plugged my HP Photosmart C5100 printer into the router (first slot). The computer seems to know it is there, and the printer seems to recognize the router, but it will not printer. Microsoft diagnostics says that the printer is not ON, and the printer is listed on Devices as Offline. The printer is about 5 years old, but it is a trooper and I don't want to to get rid of it.Â
I have HP LaserJet CP3525 network connected, it was connected and configured, and was working good. But now it's not avaliable, it just states OFFLINE. But it's coming up when turning it off and on again, for a few minutes, and then goes down again...
We have an HP DeskJet 3050 wireless printer connected by WiFi to two laptops. One laptop, a Dell 700m, runs XP Pro with all updates applied. The other laptop, a Dell XPS 15, runs Windows 7 64-bit, again with all updates applied. The printer works completely reliably from the XP machine. From the XPS 15, the printer works reliably for a day or so, then the icon in Devices & Printers is grayed, indicating the printer is offline. Even in this condition, I can access the printer's built-in web server using Firefox on the XPS 15 and the connection appears to be fine. The printer's IP address has not changed. But the printer is still reported as offline for printing by Windows.
The workaround is to delete the device and reinstall it using Add Printer and Have Disk, but using the already installed drivers rather than re-installing. After doing that, the printer then works for a few days before again going offline. This problem is extremely irritating. I've done Google searches on this problem. Although I've found a variety of similar reports for various brands of wireless printers on Vista or Windows 7, I've not seen a solution. My latest attempt is to share the printer on the Dell 700m and print to the shared printer from the XPS 15. We'll see if that continues to work for a few days (I suspect it will). But this isn't really a solution and not always convenient.
I have an HP C7250 printer connected to our local network. Both my computer and the printer say it is online. The print que says it is off line. I can't print anything.
I have recently moved and am trying to connect my Toshiba T115-S1100 laptop with my wireless Canon MP560 printer. I keep receiving "printer offline" messages. Is this a compatibility problem, or have I not set something up correctly?
I've got a Linksys E2000 router and a Brother MFC-7840W wireless printer and they don't seem to want to play nice together. The set-up process was fine and I can usually print wireless without a problem, but every so often I'll try to print and my computer will say that the printer is offline. Other computers on my network also show it as offline. The printer confirms it has an IP address, but even after power cycling it won't be picked up by my machines. I've even tried a full reset of the printer and re-configured it, at which point it is able to successfully obtain an IP address, but it still shows as offline on my PCs.  The only solution I have found is to powercycle the router. This always works. Now that's not a terribly inconvenient workaround most of the time, so I've been doing that for a few months now. It obviously implicates the router as the point of failure, but wireless internet access is not affected when the printer appears to be offline, so obviously some packets are getting through normally.Â
I have had this card fall over in the following way 3 times in the past 3 weeks (??? to protect the innocent) : Â Feb 3 17:27:31.209 ACDT: %MBUS-6-SWITCHED_FABCLK: Slot 4 primary clock switched to clock 0 Feb 3 17:27:33.360 ACDT: %LDP-5-NBRCHG: LDP Neighbor ???.???.???.??:0 (1) is DOWN (Received error notification from peer: Holddown time expired)
[Code].....  After the initial failure and card reseat it has lasted almost 3 weeks, reseated it again today and it fell over again within a minute. Reseated again and it is stil up and passing traffic after an hour.  Trying to power cycle the card from the chassis fails, a remove/insert is required to get the card running.  Is this a memory failure on the SIP (CEF failure??) or some other odd fault with the SIP, that makes it require a card remove/reinsert?
i am a ict teacher. at my lab all student computers (clients - win 7 ultimate) are connected to server 2008 machine. student are unplugging the network cable and try to log on some account which has time restriction so client computer is logging him on by using cache user. how can i solve that problem.i want always the network cable to be plugged and force students to use their own account in lesson time.
how its possible that even when I turn off wifi on the laptop and even disconnect the modem that when I type netstat into CMD that there is still one or two TCP ESTABLISHED connections? I have waited as long as an hour and there are still established connections even though I am not connected to my internet. if I shut down the computer and reload it again with the router unplugged there will be either no connections or maybe one TIME WAIT connection for one or two IPs. but as soon as I reconnect to the internet then disconnect, the same thing happens where there are established connections to the laptop even though I am not connected to the internet.I use ccleaner to remove all cookies between sessions.
I added a VOIP fax line to my network and in doing so, was forced to reset my router, as it would not go on-line. Now the printers are all off line and I can not get them back online. I followed instructions within admin and it did not work. My network is a 2 computer network. My computer acts as server and then one other computer.
the camera is about 30 feet from the router. Is it too far for the camera to be detected? After I mounted the camera at the front door, after connecting the camera to the electric power, I saw clearly the picture. But after I finished mounting, I could not see the picture anymore. On the computer, it was stated that the camera was offline.
The DCS942 (which is right near but facing the other direction) is about 2 meters away from one of the 932's but the 942 keeps going offline - it comes back on and off probably 4-5 time during a 24hr period.
This is most frustrating - it would look like Wifi signal strength could be the issue but the other 932 right near it doesn't have this issue?
Can't figure out how to setup computer to access the internet. When I click on Internet Explorer the error is "Web page you requested is not available offline
My network layout is in the attatched photo, all hard wired to their destination. The wireless routers in the picture have been replaced with Netgear WG602 WAP's in an attempt to fix this problem. Ive aquired a smart phone (android) and decided to setup two WAP's on my property for mine or my guests' usage. When I connect to the WAP on the android my Linksys Router gets knocked offline and I have to unplug it to get everything on the network to connect to the internet.
My internet connection seems to drop offline randomely while surfing the net. It basically results in yahoo or google freezing for 20-60 seconds before unfreezing and running flawlessly again. I seen a previous post that requested the individual hit start, run, cmd, and enter tracert google.com.

Since transferring from a Belkin Wireless Router to the new Virgin Superhub, i am unable to connect to the internet by wireless. Right now i am connected to the ethernet cable attached directly to the hub and it works fine. Also, i have a USB adaptor (which i've just broken ) which also allows me to connect to the internet and works. But i just CAN NOT connect to the internet at all by wireless. For specific example, when i try to connect to Windows Live it tells me that my "Default Gateway" is offline.
Have a Belkin F6D4230-4 Version 3, both times we have stayed here we have noticed the same issue, we can connect to the router, but after a while it throws everything offline, and then you will see the orange light on the front of the router flashing. I usually have to reboot the router to get it to come back online. I did check the firmware version and it is the latest version 3.0 something, but it did say it was the latest?
I have a BEFCMU10 v1 that has been misbehaving recently. It will go off line losing contact with the router and the Internet. It will stay off line for 8 to 10 minutes and then comeback on its own. If I cycle the power it will come up pretty quickly. Here is a log of a recent episode without power interruption.; [URL] Is there a solution or is it time for a new modem?
I can't get into my e-mail which is yahoo never had any trouble before, changed browser to IE and it tells me that my browser rejects cookies. I have cleared of every place that i know to delete cookies w/no avail. Am also having the same deal w/me browser kicking me offline after start and rebooting.
I installed Windows 7 a few weeks back with no hitches but over the last week I have been getting regularly kicked off line with above message that the default gateway was not available! Fortunately the Windows troubleshooter fixes it every time but intrigued why it keeps happening.I have reset the adaptor and the router but still no luck!
I'm setting up a small network (one server, two clients) to create photo sales kiosks at an upcoming outdoor event. I will need internet access for processing credit card payments but there won't be any wi-fi or ethernet internet access on the site so I'll need to utilize my iPhone's 3G connection. I recently installed "MyWi" app which can tether the 3G and even create a personal wi-fi hotspot but unfortunately it only works in ad-hoc mode, not infrastructure. So far, the wired LAN is working great on my three Macbooks, using a Linksys (DD-WRT) router. Also, the wi-fi hotspot is working great to provide internet to all the computers. The problem, of course, is that I can't have both connected at the same time or else everything breaks. I've tried doing an iPhone-USB-Macbook tether and then sharing the connection via ethernet but the internet doesn't get through the router (because I don't have a clue of how to configure the router for this). I've also tried setting my router (DD-WRT) to do a client-bridge of the iPhone ad-hoc wi-fi, but again, it's way over my head and didn't work.
Domain support with these operating systems seems to be hit and miss.I have 11 computers connected to a domain and I was wondering what the best way to back up the files on the workstations to the server would be. The server has a mirrored raid array and online backup as well. Just checking to see what the best way to do this would be. I am having trouble with the offline files sync / online files sync with these operating systems.
If I'm outside my home network, I'm getting an error saying router is offline when i use the iPhone smart wifi app on my cellphone service LTE.When I connect using my home connection or wifi, I don't get the error and I'm able to connect to my router E3500.Why is this happening ?
