I have two AC1200 routers? how do i connect one ac1200 to another ac1200. Only one should act as a DHCP server and broadcast wireless; the other should be simply just a hub (vs. me having to buy a separate hub). What are the correct settings and connections?

The printer sees the belkin wireless router network name but cannot connect to it( after entering the correct security key). It worked fine with a previous wireless router. I know that the HDD is functioning because it works when I connect it directly to my laptop USB. I also know the Belkin USB port is working because it recognizes a 4GB USB memory stick and a 320GB Toshiba USB HDD. Is there a fundamental compatability problem, or is there some configuration that must be performed (e.g., reformat from NTFS to FAT32, etc.)? I saw some message traffic on the Belkin support site that indicated some issues with earlier versions of Belkin routers using larger HDDs (e.g., 4 TB). I want to keep the same 192.168.2.3 address for my camera regardless of how many other devices are connected when I switch it on. If the address changes I need to connect a cable to access it.On my previous prehistoric Netgear I could reserve addresses that I didn't want to change. I tried turning off DHCP but then couldn't access the router from the wired PC and had to reset it all. View 1 Replies View RelatedI have a Wireless N router model F5D8236-4 v2 (01) with firmware 2.00.04 (Nov 12 2008 10:51:08) and it's not showing all issued wireless or Wired IP addresses in DHCP Client List.
They all have IP addresses and connect to the internet through the router, but in the router administration page, they're not listing. The Windows devices all show but most of the Mac devices are not, nor is my XBox 360.
My reason for investigating this is because the router seems to keep losing the Mac devices and a router reboot fixes it, but it shouldn't have this problem because all the Windows devices just seem to work.
According to the support page I have the latest available (dated November 12, 2008 which really seems kinda old to me for a Wireless N router). Are there any plans for a new firmware offering for this modem or have you already deprecated it as "legacy equipment"?
Play Max N600 HD (F7D4301) Dual network operation - on behind Belkins firewall. I have just changed the structure of my network for reasons of additional services being added. I now have in the front room the ADSL modem connected to a switch and 2 PC's. The switch is also pbugged into an ethernet plug in the wall which feeds to the other end of the house where the Belkin router is. I have all devices working on the internet correctly. The issue is getting access between the two networks and the devices on the two networks. I have added the ip addresses of the PC's to the router's LAN/Static Route, but that didn't work. The network in front room (after ADSL Modem is 192.168.1.x and after Belkin router it is 192.168.2.x. Is there a way I can allow access between the two networks between devices?

Now if Belkin Router Monitor starts at logon it prevents me from connecting. In an atempt to connect Router Monitor askes me for the SSID and the PASSWORD it wants the one from the card that came with the router but seeing as that has been changed by me I put in my SSID and password and it fails. I need to have Router Monitor running because I have a printer plugged into one of the USB ports on the router and I can not print without Router Monitor running.

And plug one cable from main network to the LAN port of the additional routers.So we basically use that additional routers only as a access point for WIFI.But what I wonder is if it's possible for me to use the additional routers with the same feature as of the main routers i.e. Enabling DHCP server so that it too can give its own DHCP ip address.
