I have a Belkin AC1200 Router. It seems working properly re Internet/Wireless connections. When I connect a printer (Canon Pixma MP500) through the USB port the (USB) light doesn't turn on, nor the printer is appearing on the "available devices" (Belkin USB Print and Storage Center).

The printer sees the belkin wireless router network name but cannot connect to it( after entering the correct security key). It worked fine with a previous wireless router. My desktop PC is connected to the belkin router via direct ethernet, and I want to be able to access my wireless printer which is located in another room from my PC. I think I remember reading that the canon mg5220 may not support WPA2 security, but Its only a year old and would prefer not to regonfigure my router's security setting. how I can get this printer to connect to my router? Any other ways to access this printer from my PC which is connected to LAN via ethernet?

View 1 Replies View RelatedI have 2 desktops (running windows 7), a Canon MF8300 printer, and an outgoing ethernet line, all on a Netgear Advanced Cable Modem Gateway CGD24-CPR. I'm only concerned with having the 2 desktops set up with the Canon printer.Both computers have been connected to the printer before and I have the startup disk. But once the new offices were set up and both of the desktops were moved, I can no longer access or find the printer.
I can IPconfig the Desktops for their IPV4 addresses and both desktops recognize eachother on a Homegroup, but I can't find the printer. I printed off the print configuration page from the printer which gave me an IP address (printer is set for auto-obtain), but using an IP search won't bring up the printer.All of the devices are plugged into ethernet ports set up for the three different office they are in and the actual location of the Netgear cable modem/router is over 100 feet away. My primary concern is getting the printer for the desktops, but I also need to add a wireless router into one of those office in the future.
I have this Belkin wireless g router, which I had for a year. I was using the wired connection since then until I, at last, was able to use it's wireless connection but it only lasted around a week. After that, the modem light on the router kept on blinking and the internet light wouldn't turn on. I also couldn't connect to the router anymore(wired and wireless), neither could I configure it. I reset it but it still didn't work.

However for some reason (even after port forwarding the right one) people still can't connect. I'm having this really weird issue with my DIR-655 revB. I have some port forwarding rules set up and externally they work fine. However, if I try connecting to my IP address using those same ports from a computer within my LAN, it won't connect.
Externally, I can ping my WAN address and connect through forwarded ports. No problems. Internally, pinging my WAN address apparently works (just now is the first time that's worked for me), however I can't access any of my computers using the WAN IP and port forwarded ports. I can access them by going directly to their hostnames or LAN IPs.
Things I've tried:
-Disabling/enabling firewalls on all computers involved
-Disabling/enabling QoS engine
-Disabling/enabling DNS relay
-Disabling/enabling Advanced DNS
-Adding custom nameservers from Google and Comodo
-Restarting computers
-Clearing DNS cache (I use a dynamic DNS name which works externally but not internally. This gets the correct IP internally and connecting directly to the IP doesn't work either.)
-Modifying the NAT Endpoint Filtering settings
I have an external DSL modem connected to the router using PPPoE if it matters.
The weird part is that it works externally but I've modified all of the values I can think of in the config with no luck. I upgraded to the DIR-655 from a DIR-615 which had all these settings in it and worked fine (until it started acting up which is why I replaced it).
How do I setup my Belkin F7D1301 with a 16 port 10/100 switch so I can use the wireless on the Belkin and have the 16 port switch for my hard wires?

Added note: The way I want to use it is by my IP (xxx.xxx.xxx.154:25565). I have the software installed to do so (I'm using a minecraft server, connecting through minecraft), but I can't enter my IP in the IP address field, it says that it's out of the range of the LAN.

I am using a MR3420 V2 together with a E398 modem. The connection works well, but I can't do any port forwarding (virtual server). Using another router (Tiny Dovado) with the same E398 modem works flawlessly to forward ports.
