Port Forwarding Doesn't Work Anymore?

I have a W7 PC 64 bit system and I've been trying to port forward the port 25565 for my Minecraft server. However for some reason (even after port forwarding the right one) people still can't connect. When I check on Open Port Check Tool - Test Port Forwarding on Your Router It still says that the port 25565 is closed!I've even created an Inbound and Outbound rule in the Windows Firewall advanced settings. I use Avira Anti-vir fyi..

Jason9 i'm having the exact same problem as above, don't mean to hijack but I'm using talktalk isp, I have AVG 9.0 and have a static IP and forwarded the required port on the router.

I'm having this really weird issue with my DIR-655 revB. I have some port forwarding rules set up and externally they work fine. However, if I try connecting to my IP address using those same ports from a computer within my LAN, it won't connect.
Externally, I can ping my WAN address and connect through forwarded ports. No problems. Internally, pinging my WAN address apparently works (just now is the first time that's worked for me), however I can't access any of my computers using the WAN IP and port forwarded ports. I can access them by going directly to their hostnames or LAN IPs.
Things I've tried:
-Disabling/enabling firewalls on all computers involved
-Disabling/enabling QoS engine
-Disabling/enabling DNS relay
-Disabling/enabling Advanced DNS
-Adding custom nameservers from Google and Comodo
-Restarting computers
-Clearing DNS cache (I use a dynamic DNS name which works externally but not internally. This gets the correct IP internally and connecting directly to the IP doesn't work either.)
-Modifying the NAT Endpoint Filtering settings
I have an external DSL modem connected to the router using PPPoE if it matters.
The weird part is that it works externally but I've modified all of the values I can think of in the config with no luck. I upgraded to the DIR-655 from a DIR-615 which had all these settings in it and worked fine (until it started acting up which is why I replaced it).

I have been trying so hard to get the following ports to work:
5120 - 5300
I have looked up countless guides, and have done everything in them, I have a static IP, I used the gateway to create the port forwarding rule, AND opened the ports on the windows firewall.
Nothing works. The port remains closed, and I can't host games. My modem is an Ambit U10C037

First off, my router is a D-Link DIR-655, firmware v2.07. I'm trying to port forward port 25565.
My port forward settings are this:
However, when I use this open port checker, it claims that I don't have that port open. It looks like this, without the blurred out parts:
Added note: The way I want to use it is by my IP (xxx.xxx.xxx.154:25565). I have the software installed to do so (I'm using a minecraft server, connecting through minecraft), but I can't enter my IP in the IP address field, it says that it's out of the range of the LAN.

I have a Netgear WRG614 and a Westell 610015 Modem. I need Port Forwarding. I have tried setting up a static IP then Port Forwarding but it doesn't work. I have tried port forwarding from the modem but it doesn't work. I wanna forward ports "80, 9958, and 5816". The reason is because I am gonna host a game server on my computer.

I am using a MR3420 V2 together with a E398 modem. The connection works well, but I can't do any port forwarding (virtual server). Using another router (Tiny Dovado) with the same E398 modem works flawlessly to forward ports.

Type: WRVS4400N Wireless-N Gigabit Security Router with VPN.I bought it last week. Its single port forwarding has an issue. I can only use that function for a couple or hours. Then the forwarding does not work. I have to reboot the router to make it available again.

Comcast sent out a new modem a few days ago. The reason for this was our internet had gone out for a while, they came in and said our modem was fried. I have internet access by directly wiring from the modem to my computer.My router doesn't work anymore. I have a local network, but no internet access. I'm using a Linksys WRT54G, and I don't really know what to do.As far as I remember, setting everything to defaults and factory settings was how I set up my router in the first place and it just worked.

I had the website filter ON and it was working very well to block a few websites on a schedule. And after a few month, it doesn't work any more. While it is possible that I scewed up the setting , I have tried so many settings.

I have a 3845 running 12.4.13a which I want to upgrade to 12.4.24.After upgrade one of the interface that is configured for frame relay doesn't work anymore.In fact is the "service-module t1 timeslots" commands that can not be executed and the router throws that error.I tested this behaviour on two 3845s and the result is the same.Is this a bug or is an workaround for it?

My ISP is centurylink and I have a 660 series modem that is both a modem and a router (no wireless). Also I have a Linksys WRT54G v3 wireless router with Tomato Firmware on it. For whatever reason I can't get the port forwarding to work. Yes, I know I have to forward the ports on both and I have tried using this guideurl...Fowarding.php on the modem, with Tomato Firmware it is super simple to forward.

Today i installed an RV180 VPN router as replacement for a netscreen ns-5GT.Exactly the same configuration, everything works, except port forwarding from WAN to a host inside NAT.My ports are open (online port-scanner sees the ports as open), the hosts are accepting connections, but a connection can't be made.Probably a bug in the firmware.

I set up my new E4200 to forward port 7300 to a computer on my LAN. I had this working on my Linksys WRT160N and copied all of the settings so they are identical to those on that router but forwarding does not work. I have tried single port forwarding, multiple port forwarding and even DMZ with the same lack of results.

IPort forwarding simply does not work with this rounter on Comcast. I called comcast to see if they were blocking ports and they insist they ARE NOT.So what can it be? Was on FIOS with their modem/router combo and port forwarding worked like a charm with them.I've tried single port forwarding, port range forwarding, yada.
I am using the correct internal IP address on the machine I want to enable port forwarding on..Latest firmware is installed 1.04 or whatever (just purchased the router and updated during the Cisco Connect install on the 29th). Guess I should go find a cheaper router that actually works...

A couple of weeks ago I have bought a TD-W8961ND in replacement of my old modem/router (of another brand, to upgrade from Wireless G to N). I tried to replicate in the new router something similar to my old setup, so I programmed Virtual Servers (under the NAT menu) with the following rules: NATRules.jpg in an attempt to:
- grant access from "outside" Internet to my web server
- have a Wakeup-On-LAN from "outside" Internet ..etc.. without success. Please note that:
- I have successfully setup a DDNS server to reach my modem router from outside
- as for WOL, I defined my subnet mask as 255.255.255.128
- I have not set any other rule, nor in NAT, nor in routing or other
- I tried also with firewall disabled
- I do my testing by means of a smartphone with wireless disabled and Internet connection via mobile service provider
- Both the above mentioned functions were working with my old modem/router (and still work on LAN), and I have not changed other things (PC setup etc)

i have a WRT160N V3 and DMZ or Portforwarding dont work.i tried locally following
WAN_PC-> WAN-PORT -> WRT160N V3 -> LOCAL-PORT -> LOCAL_PC
The WAN_PC has a Static-IP 192.168.1.2, Subnet 255.255.255.0
The WAN-PORT has a Static-IP 192.168.1.1, Subnet 255.255.255.0
ON the WRT160N V3 i configured a DMZ on 192.168.0.100.and Disabled the Firewall.
On the LOCAL_PC (192.168.0.100:8888) is a Apache
So when i type 192.168.1.1:8888 on the WAN_PC i get NOOO Website from the Apache on 192.168.0.100:8888?

I have a problem configuring port forwarding to 443 and having client VPN to work.When 443 is NOT forwarded, VPN just runs fine (QuickVPN).As soon as I enable 443, the VPN stops working. No client can connect.I have the latest 1.2.0.9 firmware.Is there a way to enable 443 and having VPN to work at the same time ? I need 443 for Exchange.

I have done this before on this exact model about a month ago, so it's still fresh in my mind on port forwarding. (note, I'm using firmware version: 1.0.00) I am running a windows 7 computer wirelessly using this router.What I do for port forwarding is type in router IP (192.168.2.1) in internet explorer, type in "default" as username and "admin" as password. I click the "applications and gaming" link which brings me to port range forwarding.
I fill in my port info, in this case a mine craft server running on 25565. I set up two of the same ports, different names both at the same port, one running TCP and the other UDP, when it worked previously the "both" option did not work correctly. (I used to have a private network that a buddy of mine set up a while back, and I doubt he remembers what to do and I don't know where the manual is to make a new one, searching the internet sends me spam of people asking questions.)
I read somewhere it may have something to do with DHCP server settings conflicting with my IP. My IPv4 address reads 192.168.2.100, and the DHCP settings says the same.

I am having a NAT issue with my two xboxes. The router is an e1000 v2.1 firmware 2.1.02. One xbox is wired into the router and the other has a wireless adapter. The wireless xbox gets open nat automatically, while the wired one's nat is strict. If i mess with DMZ and turn UPnP off i can get the wired to be open but the wireless one to be strict. Also port forwarding does not seem to work because only one or the other xboxes will get an open NAT. I do have the the correct ports in the port triggering section set to on but that does not seem like it works.

Continued from [URL] which appears to have been closed by a moderator with a reference to Cisco small business website, but the registration there doesn't work, all buttons are inactive etc.
I just need to know what to do with this RV042. I have two modems, a cable and an ADSL. Both are configure correctly, in bridge mode. Both work fine when connected to WAN1, but when connected to WAN2 they never go online (dont' get IP address). The connect lights are on but they never go online.

We have a VPN setup for a customer between our shop and their shop 2.5 hours away. This is a Cisco 871.We had Verizon and the connection worked (still does) great! We had to switch providers as they sold to Frontier and were going to change our IPs anyways so why not switch to a faster provider instead.We switched to Charter. I have ZERO, NADA, ZILTCH knowledge of Cisco and I plan to keep it that was as they are way more complicated then they should be. Ill stay with my Sonicwall.....Anyways.... I took the config and did a find and replace for all the IP's, Gateways, DNS etc....I blasted that into the router and it took right off and connected up the VPN in a matter of 2 minutes. I was estatic as I knew I was going to sleep good that night not worrying about it..............Untill the next day at 11 am when I get a phone call from work saying the connection was down.
I go and realize that the router cant see the outside world anymore, therefor was obviously not going to see the peer IP address. I was dumbfounded!. To make a long story short I tried reconfiging therouter with the same file. I even redid the find and replace and resaved it to no avail. Still no go, no internet. All the proper IPs, Gateways and DNS numbers are where they should be. To test that its the config and/or something to far above me. I re configed the router with the old config and hooked it back up to verizon, it took right off and reestablished the VPN and was working.

Just replaced my SMC Gateway with a Cisco Home Networking Modem, router doesn't see DCS 930 cameras. Working perfect before. I start the wizard, I plug in camera power, plug in ethernet cable for setup, light is green as requested, searches for camera, comes up "No Cameras found". I have a laptop that I want to sell, therefore I went to somebody to see my laptop and wanted to connect to his wifi. After repeatedly entering the pass for the wifi ,the wifi was still not connecting.
1. My laptop will see his wifi but after entering the pass will not connect
2. The pass is correct because I introduced the same pass on my mobile and I was able to connect to his wifi through my mobile
3 My laptop wifi is working fine because when I went home it connects automatically on my home wifi
4. I tried to open and close his router but I faced same problem.
