Linksys WRT54G - Router Doesn't Work Anymore

Comcast sent out a new modem a few days ago. The reason for this was our internet had gone out for a while, they came in and said our modem was fried. I have internet access by directly wiring from the modem to my computer.My router doesn't work anymore. I have a local network, but no internet access. I'm using a Linksys WRT54G, and I don't really know what to do.As far as I remember, setting everything to defaults and factory settings was how I set up my router in the first place and it just worked.

I have a W7 PC 64 bit system and I've been trying to port forward the port 25565 for my Minecraft server. However for some reason (even after port forwarding the right one) people still can't connect. When I check on Open Port Check Tool - Test Port Forwarding on Your Router It still says that the port 25565 is closed!I've even created an Inbound and Outbound rule in the Windows Firewall advanced settings. I use Avira Anti-vir fyi..

I had the website filter ON and it was working very well to block a few websites on a schedule. And after a few month, it doesn't work any more. While it is possible that I scewed up the setting , I have tried so many settings.
So:DIR655 fw 1.32NA,hw A3,"Enable access control" is on with the desktop MAC address (used copy this MAC)(I have also tried my laptop MAC),web site filter is set to "deny",the router time is set using NTP dlink server,

I have several ports opened on my DIR-655 A3, pointing to specific ports on a NAS server i have on my network.
I've already try this:
- Reboot the router
- Erase all Virtual Server Settings and try open only one port
- Re-flash the router with latest European firmware - 1.34b05EU

I have a 3845 running 12.4.13a which I want to upgrade to 12.4.24.After upgrade one of the interface that is configured for frame relay doesn't work anymore.In fact is the "service-module t1 timeslots" commands that can not be executed and the router throws that error.I tested this behaviour on two 3845s and the result is the same.Is this a bug or is an workaround for it?

I have the Linksys WRT54G Wireless Router, when i hook my at&t modem to the modem port on the router the wireless portion of the router works, when i plug any pc into the Ethernet ports it doesnt work!If i plug the modem into the Ethernet port and plug other pcs into the other existing Ethernet ports it works by Ethernet but not wireless.

I have a linksys E3200. Today I got disconnected and when it reconnected it stated that the network was changed to just network and not my usual network name. I was having connection issues with the network disconnecting me and reconnecting me. I uninstalled the cisco connect software. I contacted support who told me to restart the router and modem, which I did. After reset I tried to reinstall the software. Cisco Connect likes to insist to do the installation wirelessly but my laptop can't find the router during installation to complete it. My router is essentially a glorified wire connecting my computer to my modem now.Â

I recently bought a Linksys WAG160N v2 model to replace my old setup of a Linksys WRT54GL + ASUS AM604g (ADSL2+ Modem) i had.I've set it up to dial my ISP's PPPoE connection as i had on the previous setup exactly, And it seemed to work at first.But now i've randomly noticed the connection just dies - the router doesn't respond to wireless at all anymore, and connecting from a wired machine shows the PPPoE link died, while the log says something along the lines of "PPPoE connection terminated: transport endpoint not connected" followed by a big number with lots of zeros and :'s. Probably some kind of IPv6 error address? note that i am not using IPv6 myself nor does my ISP provide any such addresses.

I've already upgraded the firmware to latest and installed the newest WiFi drivers on the machine i was connecting from wirelessly (has an Intel Wifi Link AGN5300 module).

I have a desktop and laptop running Win 7 and a WRT54G router. The desktop has a cable connecting to the router, and the laptop is wireless. Both connect to the network and internet fine, but I can't get the Windows 7 homegroup thing to work. Ran thru the troubleshooter a few times and got nothing out of it.
I just got the laptop so I could do programming homework and I'd like to be able to keep things synced with subversion wirelessly. Worst comes to worst I can use a USB key but it seems silly to do that when both computers talk to the same router.

I've just bought this wireless usb today and attempted 2-3 times to be able to connect with my router (D-Link's DIR-601) but it for some reason failed to do so, until the little usb didn't have its green light flashing anymore... and when i reconnected it to my Windows XP it rang its error sound... and I kept having this message from the Wireless Wizard that it's not connected appropriately or something...and that i have to run the setup wizard again.

Just replaced my SMC Gateway with a Cisco Home Networking Modem, router doesn't see DCS 930 cameras. Working perfect before. I start the wizard, I plug in camera power, plug in ethernet cable for setup, light is green as requested, searches for camera, comes up "No Cameras found". Called ISP provider to reset modem, still no go. Tried a wireless setup using the "buttons", no go. Reset cameras..

We have a old Router and a new one(the Lynksys). The old one had problems with the Wifi so we bought this one. So when we connect This Router to the Modem it doesn't show connection to the internet. (The Setup fails because of this). But with the old one it does connect to the internet. So either my modem doesn't detect the new router or vice versa. So I am not sure why its not working since on the old one it works fine.

I've been using this router for several years with a wireless connection to an iPhone, and wired connections to a computer running Windows Vista, a computer running Windows XP (only connected occasionally and never during these tests), a NetTalk telephone ATA, and a Brother printer. I just got a Windows 8 laptop with wireless. I found that the laptop wouldn't connect wired until I cycled power to the router and rebooted the laptop. OK, that's working to get the laptop to the internet. Vista and iPhone are still working. Printer won't work? Use an IP scanner and the printer is just not there although the light on the router is solid for it. Turn off laptop and cycle power and everything else is back to normal. Let's try wireless. Laptop will not connect. Is it something with the printer? Turn off printer, cycle power, and reboot and laptop wireless now works. Turn on printer and printer doesn't work again. Unplug ATA (hey, it's something to try), cycle power, reboot, everything except telephone is working! Plug ATA back in, no telephone. Cycle power. Back to square one with everything working except laptop. Turn off iPhone, reboot laptop, laptop now OK but printer has disappeared again. Turn iPhone back on and it won't connect either. Cycle power with printer off and everything else works again.Â

I've tried looking for solutions on the windows seven forums and all over Google but none of them worked.The problem is, sometimes I get an "Unidentified Network, No Internet Access" error on my laptop (wireless). When this happens, the lan speed drops to 1.0 mbps and I get the "No Data Received" error when I try to load pages.My internet is on fine and my brother can access the internet fine on a desktop which is wired to the router and modem. My mom's notebook sometimes gets this error as well.

Is there any real solution for this problem or known compatibility problems between my WRT54G (version 1.1 I think) and Windows 7? Really need a solution to this, before I had to re-setup my whole connection, I didn't get such a problem. My laptop doesn't get the error in the school network either.Â

I am trying to get a cell phone to have access to my LAN from 3am to 7am. Â I gave the policy a name, allowed access, checked everyday and the time 3a to 7a. Â Under edit list of PCs, I entered the MAC address of the phone, and I have also entered the MAC address of the phone on the wireless>edit mac filter list, though didn't know if I should.

With my WRT54G my network works fine.All my computers of Work group appears in Network (Windows XP and Windows Vista)With my new WRT610N, it is not the same :
- I can't access Work group
- A lot of my shared folders don't appears in Network (in Windows XP and Windows Vista)

Putting this router back in service, I reset (10 and 30 sec hold) until lights flashed. Unplugged it. Came back and connected to computer. Used default u/n = blank and p/w = admin -- doesn't work, can't get to control screen. Tried various combinations and still won't work. How do I get router to respond?

I have a mac 10.7.4 and an xbox 360 slim. Whenever I try to play online like cod or fifa and someone else is on the computer It is super lagy, Laging. Before when I had a **bleep**y netgear 33 mb it worked perfectly fine. Now this router is has 300 +mb and it stil doesnt work. This router cost me $80 dollars. Before cisco linsys I bought a netgear not the **bleep**ty neatgear but a newer one and it still had the same problem.

I just received a new modem from my ISP acanac, the modem model is NetVito5300.When I connect the modem directly to my computer, I can access the internet, but if I connect through my wireless router, there's no wireless internet access. Wireless router model is CISCO Linksys E2000.I tried to download Cisco Connect Setup Software for PC and followed the step until one point it asked for my wireless username and password and I put them in correctly but it said my router was not successfully set up and failed. I should press the reset button and set the router to factory default mode, but I'm afraid I won't be able to set it up properly after doing so.What should I do to connect my new modem and wireless router properly so I have wireless internet access?

Trying to troubleshoot a Cisco Pix 501. We have a cable modem/router that goes to the Cisco box that then goes to my wife's computer. It's worked flawlessly since we hooked it up, even if we unplug/replug the router. Today, we unplugged the Cisco box itself to hook up a newer one. When the newer one didn't work, we tried to hook up the old one again to no avail. The led indicators seem to show that everything's working properly. We've unplugged and rebooted everything. Nothing works. The network monitor on the computer shows that it detects being connected to a network, but it always says no internet access.

I just reset my router to the factory settings in order to make some changes to it. However, when I tried to change the SSID to a unique name, I was unable to connect my computer to the wireless network. I then reset my security settings and left the SSID to the default name "linksys_SES_54125" and it is working just fine. I tried to connect with two separate computers both running Windows 7. My router is the WRT54G v8

I'm having a problem with Wake on Lan. Â (I'll bet you never guessed from the title, eh?). Â I have an E4200 and I can not get WoL to work over the internet.(I'm assuming it's not actually going out to the internet when I wirelessly wake it using shawn.dynamicservice.com and the subnet, but rather the DDNS name is being resolved through the ARP cache, but I don't know. Â I'm still learning) Consequently, if the sentence above in parenthesis is correct, I am unable to perform WoL from outside my LAN. Â What am I missing?

Buy new one Linksys E3200. Two day using and now have such problem. Every 30 minutes WiFi connection disappears for 10-15 sec. Then appear, but you can't connect to WiFi network for next 30 seconds. Update firmware of router to last version, but it doesn't work.

I just need to know what to do with this RV042. Â I have two modems, a cable and an ADSL. Both are configure correctly, in bridge mode. Â Both work fine when connected to WAN1, but when connected to WAN2 they never go online (dont' get IP address). Â The connect lights are on but they never go online.

I got a brand new wireless router and made it the first in line with my cable modem. This is necessary because I want to take advantage of all the features in the new router. I put the RTP300 behind the first router and switched off DHCP and connected the internet port into one of the 4 regular ports on the back (typical configuration for a pass through router).So everything works perfectly for any computer attached to the router (they can access the internet etc). The only problem I have is the VOIP doesn't work. If I pick up my phone it says this device is not registered to a phone number.

Type:Â WRVS4400N Wireless-N Gigabit Security Router with VPN.I bought it last week. Its single port forwarding has an issue. I can only use that function for a couple or hours. Then the forwarding does not work. I have to reboot the router to make it available again.Â
