Buy new one Linksys E3200. Two day using and now have such problem. Every 30 minutes WiFi connection disappears for 10-15 sec. Then appear, but you can't connect to WiFi network for next 30 seconds. Update firmware of router to last version, but it doesn't work.

View 6 Replies View RelatedI have a linksys E3200. Today I got disconnected and when it reconnected it stated that the network was changed to just network and not my usual network name. I was having connection issues with the network disconnecting me and reconnecting me. I uninstalled the cisco connect software. I contacted support who told me to restart the router and modem, which I did. After reset I tried to reinstall the software. Cisco Connect likes to insist to do the installation wirelessly but my laptop can't find the router during installation to complete it. My router is essentially a glorified wire connecting my computer to my modem now.

I had the Linksys 3200 for almost a year and its been running great with my laptop. But now my laptop that connects to it by WIFI is getting these hiccups(what I call them), where it connects fine for a hour or 2. Then all of a sudden the WIFI icon on the laptop will say "limited internet access" and then no connection to the Linksys 3200. But other devices such as 2 smart phones, IPOD touch, Wii, and PS3 connects fine through the WIFI! Its been doing this for a few days. Thinking about doing a firmware upgrade for the E3200

However, I have 2 Wi Fi Radios that will pick up the network but will not connect and go into a network connect time out. One of the radios also has a hardwired connection and that is working fine. I have checked and double checked the network name, WPA key, etc. Of course I have reset all the radios and reenter new data many times, both manually and auto.

What can i do to have the wired computer with same fast speed as wireless?....i'm i missing something?Here are the speed results:
All wired computers connections (total of 4) downwload speed ranging from 8 Mbps to 13 Mbps.
All wireless computer connections download speed stable at 49 Mbps.
Everyday time I log in, the wi-fi says my connection is unidentified or identifying but it always stays like that with the yellow triangle with the exclamation point. So I use the "Diagnose and repair" feature which tells me to either reset the ip address or something or one of my cables is unplugged so I should unplug the modem and router and replug it back it after checking the cables.The resetting the ip address doesn't do jack but if I unplug the router and replug it in, the wi-fi works again...well, until i log off and log back in againI've also tried updating my wifi drivers, run a scan for viruses, and updated all my software. Its been like this for a month now and I just found this site.

I have many other wireless devices also running off the E3200, but my PC is the only wired device connected to it. When I replace the wired PC do I simply switch the new one in with the existing ethernet connection (I'm sure it is not that simple) or do I have to start over again recreating my entire network..security etc.. ? If so what is the process to start over ? Do I have to reset something on the router, reload cisco connect, create a new network name?

View 1 Replies View RelatedTrying to troubleshoot a Cisco Pix 501. We have a cable modem/router that goes to the Cisco box that then goes to my wife's computer. It's worked flawlessly since we hooked it up, even if we unplug/replug the router. Today, we unplugged the Cisco box itself to hook up a newer one. When the newer one didn't work, we tried to hook up the old one again to no avail. The led indicators seem to show that everything's working properly. We've unplugged and rebooted everything. Nothing works. The network monitor on the computer shows that it detects being connected to a network, but it always says no internet access.

I tried both the old IP address (192.168.1.1) and the IP address that I entered when I was configuring Bridge mode, but I couldn't get either to work. I have always tried resetting the switch to factory defaults and trying again to make sure I didn't type anything wrong, but to no avail. View 1 Replies View RelatedI have successfully set up a guest network on my EA4500. Guest laptop associates with guest SSID just fine. Then via IE, it gets prompted for the guest password, which is entered and accepted just fine. At this point guest laptop is on the network.
BUT... at some point the guest laptop will need to reauthenticate (I don't know what the timeout is, but maybe one or two days?). Anyway, it's at this point that IE presents the guest network login page. But now after typing in the password, "enter" or clicking on the button does nothing. It looks like the guest web page doesn't get loaded properly or completely, so the reauthentication can't complete, therefore can't get to the internet. So, while in this state, I've also tried Firefox and Chrome, and same thing, no action when trying to submit the guest password. Tried rebooting guest laptop, and still same problem. Only thing I've found so far that works is to reboot the router. So I'm guessing there's a problem with the guest/web server on the router?? It's a real pain to have to reboot the router every day or two, when I've had other Linksys routers run for months without having to touch them.
I was running CCC 2.1.38 when I first noticed the problem. Since then I've downgraded to Classic 2.0.37, but it seems I still have the same problem. Again, I can connect & authenticate just fine initially, but when reprompted after some period of time, it doesn't work.
I've tried contacting Cisco support, but it looks like I'm at 91 days since purchase and thus outside of my 90-day complimentary support, so they happily provided me with the premium support options just to have the honor of talking with them. Guess I shouldn't have spent so much time trying to figure this out myself.

I installed my brand new TP-Link router and both wired and wireless internet connection work perfectly fine. But when I tried to secure the wifi with a password (I followed the instructions on last page of installation guide) I can not connect to the internet any more. After entering the correct password, both iphone and mac-book simply say "unable to join the network". I selected WPA2-PSK-personal as recommended. We have three brand new E4200 routers, all using the most current firmware (1.0.02). They are all in bridged mode, however when I attempt to enable the guest network on each of them, the config shows it as active, but it never shows up as visiible SSID. In previous posts, I've seen people saying that I need to do a complete hard reset of the router and re-enter all the configs again to get the guest network active. Is this true? I'd hate to think that I have to hard reset and reconfigure all three of these APs, just to get the guest network enabled.

I can reset the DSL modem, hubs, etc but the problem isn't fixed until I reset the E4200; so I've pretty much narrowed it down to the router.

I've been having this DNS problem for 6 days or so. The internet doesn't work with cable nor Wi-Fi and I've tried almost everything, ping, configuring the DNS, IP, disabling everything, enabling everything, nslookup doesn't work, releasing and renewing doesn't work too, and to make things worst.(In the main computer, everything works just fine and the router settings appear to be correct too, my computer also works perfectly fine in other places with WLAN).

We also connect to the e2000 wirelessly.Problems started yesterday with no internet. Last night I rebooted everything and still nothing works. Connected laptop to cable modem directly. Wasn't getting internet connectivity so I called Comcast. They reset my modem and everything started working fine. Now I can directly connect from cable modem to laptop and internet works fine.
