View 8 RepliesI'm trying to re setup my mother in laws Belkin F9K1002 wireless router. She has no clue as to what her password is for the wireless network or any other Belkin password. When I go to the support website, there are instructions to reset the network password, but you have to login to change the settings. The instructions say to leave the password field at the login blank but when I leave the field blank, I get an error message "Incorrect password. Please confirm your password and try again." So it seems I need the password to reset the password.

View 1 Replies View RelatedI recently changed my internet connection from a very slow adsl connection (im a LONG way from the exchange) to a moderatly faster vdsl connection. With the upgrade, they force me to use a modem that looks like it was made 20 years ago (although they say its had all the internals upgraded a month ago) leaving me to use a seperate router for wireless signal. I bought a bellkin F9K1002 v3 and after a little hassle had it up and running, the network connection between all the systems is great, but the router drops the internet connection every 30-120 seconds, for 15-20 seconds each time. I have about 10 devices connecting, but problem is there with just 1 connection wired or wireless.
I've tried calling my ISP (who will not touch router settings) and belkin tech support (who sound like they touched their first computer about 22 seconds ago) with no improvement. I've connected directly to the modem and had perfect connection for 12 hours, ruling it out of the equasion. I've disconnected all systems but one at a time, trying on 3 systems, with no improvement. I've turned off firewall, WPS, tried multiple wireless settings (channels and such) updated firmware all with no improvement. Here's a sample of the system log on the router:
Jan/1/2000 00:27:59 WAN PPPoE client receive
PADS
Jan/1/2000 00:28:00 WAN PPPoE client PAP

I bought the router belkin n600 and it says in the box the USB support the FAT16/32 and NTFS which is I am really interested in but I was disappointed when I attached my book WD essitionl 3TB in to it because the router couldn't see it and I also tried a 320GB Toshiba external hard disk has NTFS file system and it didn't work ..
View 4 Replies View RelatedI have a dell Inspiron 1545, and I recently had to re-install windows Vista(SP2) onto it because of a Trojan that snuck its way onto my hard drive I only had the Installation disc for the OS, and I'd lost the driver re-install disk. I went onto the Dell website and found all the required drivers for my computer. (I used my exact service tag and express code), I downloaded all of the drivers and ran them, and everything seemed to be working fine. Shortly after re-installing all of the drivers, I noticed that I could not connect to the internet through my wireless connection. I've tried all the keyboard shortcuts to "turn on" my wireless connectivity, I've tried installing a whole number of recommended wireless card drivers, and to no avail. This is a serious problem to me, as I am very active on the internet. My Ethernet connection works fine, (that's how I'm online posting this right now), my wireless card troubles.

View 1 Replies View RelatedIf your wireless indicator is flashing red when you discover the smurf, it can mean that someone has tried to logon with an incorrect password. this is not necessarily an attack, it could be someone you have allowed access too, who has forgotten the password? In this case entering the correct password will solve the problem. However putting your own MAC address into the filter will simply block your own machine.

View 1 Replies View RelatedIn my house...I have one router upstairs (Belkin F5D8236-4) and great signal upstairs...downstairs signal is not so swift and sometimes, I can't even get a signal. So I thought let me go purchase a router (router # 2) and set it up downstairs and see if that will improve the signal of my Belkin. The 2nd router I purchased is a Belkin N150 (I thought buy 2 Belkins...maybe they can communicate better?). What I need to know is how do I connect the Belkin N150, to my Belkin F5.. and just use it to strengthen my signal to my downstairs part of the house?

View 6 Replies View RelatedBelkin Router N300 Model:F9K1002V2 apparently forces me to have specific LAN and WAN IPs that I have been unable to change. My ISP has been changing my IP and advising me that everything works without issue. It's true that my IP does change, but only if I am directly connected to my modem - I have a completely different IP. If my router is connected to the modem and I am connected either by Ethernet/wifi from the router, my WAN IP is displayed as my IP & the completely different IP is nowhere to be found.
The issue is that this WAN IP seems to have been banned on a game that I played on a daily basis. Game support has not been responding to my requests & I know my account on that game still exists because I am able to play it when I'm directly connected to my modem. Connecting with my modem is not an option, as there are others in my home that also need to use wifi. So, if it's not already obvious, I'm looking for a way to change my WAN IP ... without having to toss out the product and buy a new router - which I am seriously beginning to consider it.
