I see the switch to toggle the QOS on and off, but it is greyed out in on and will not allow me to switch. I would like to see if it solves the speed problem with my iPad. The newest firmware is installed in the router. I also tried changing other fields to see if it would unlock the quality of service field with no luck.

We have a wireless router (model #F7D4301) that we would like, if possible, to operate as a wired router without emitting a wireless signal (wife's concerned about excess emf). My internet used to work just fine, but after I reinstalled my OS a couple of months ago I started having a funny problem. My internet will randomly stop working, I'll visit facebook, check a blog, and then i'll try to check my email and the page won't load. Then my internet won't work again until I reset my computer. The weirdest part is that Windows acts there's nothing the matter. The little icon in the notification bar still says it's connected and if I click repair, windows tells me there's nothing to repair. My wife has a different laptop and she's still able to access the internet fine after I've been kicked off. I've checked for a router firmware update and it's up to date. I bought a usb wireless-n adapter thinking my laptop's adapter might be bad and that didn't work. I considering buying a new router, but I'm not confident that will solve the problem since my wife's internet is still fine and because my internet works again when I reset, so it's not like the router is blocking my IP right?

View 6 Replies View RelatedBelkin Router N300 Model:F9K1002V2 apparently forces me to have specific LAN and WAN IPs that I have been unable to change.My ISP has been changing my IP and advising me that everything works without issue. It's true that my IP does change, but only if I am directly connected to my modem - I have a completely different IP. If my router is connected to the modem and I am connected either by Ethernet/wifi from the router, my WAN IP is displayed as my IP & the completely different IP is nowhere to be found.
The issue is that this WAN IP seems to have been banned on a game that I played on a daily basis. Game support has not been responding to my requests & I know my account on that game still exists because I am able to play it when I'm directly connected to my modem. Connecting with my modem is not an option, as there are others in my home that also need to use wifi.So, if it's not already obvious, I'm looking for a way to change my WAN IP ... without having to toss out the product and buy a new router - which I am seriously beginning to consider it.
