Belkin Routers :: Not Having Mac Filtering On F7d1301
Apr 13, 2013
I have added a list of Mac numbers for allowed devices & checked the enable mac filtering box,but did not check the block box.All the Mac number devices, cannot access the wifi. But if I uncheck the "enable mac filtering box"all the Mac number devices can access the wifi. This also include other devices not in the list can also access to the wifi.It seem that the router can only block mac number BUT cannot have "allow list"I checked my firmware = 1.00.22 (Aug31 2000 14.36.01)Is this the latest firmware??

I was told by my Internet company that my router may not be compatible with my new modem (from them). I have a Basic Wireless Router. Model f7d1301. Purchased about 1 year ago. I was told that Belkin designs it this way so we have to buy a new one regularly. But 1 year!!! That is terrible. Is it true? Is this older router no good? I have purchased a new one and it seems to,have solved the problem. It does take me very happy that I already have to buy a new one....
F7D1301 v1 is my router model. i installed it this morning; all was working fine; then i changed password; still working fine; then i attempted to change pw a second time; router turned to solid orange and no matter what i try, i can't get it working again. i reset it, unplugged it, etc.
My Belkin Wifi router which was working fine earlier has stopped working now. It shows a red/orange light and nothing else ( it normally shows a green light ). The light doesn't blink or flash. As a consequence, my wifi devices aren't connecting to the internet, however i can connect via my pc normally through my modem. I have a iball Baton modem and the model number of my wifi router is F7D1301 V1.
I have a Belkin N150 wireless router. I have enabled MAC Address Filtering as an added level of security. However; whenever I access the router, and if I check that page; the check mark for the option to enable the filter is always blank.
I have checked the option, clicked Apply Changes, and logged out of the router. i went back in this morning, to check the security logs. (Looking like someone is trying to jump on my network) I didn't see anything there, but when I checked MAC Address Filtering; there was no check mark indicating that the filter was turned on.
i have beetel adsl2+router connected to my main computer through ethernet cable but its wifi signal is very low. its signal hardly reach the other end of my house where my bedroom is, and i want to surf on my laptop or mobile from my bedroom only so basically i want to extend my wifi range or boost the signal the thing is i have a belkin f7d1301 basic n150 wireless router, i want to know whether i can use it as range extender or any other thing to boost my signal.
There are a total of 7 systems on the network. The network has evolved from two small shops (3-4 computers each) to a single one with a sum total of 7 systems. Historically there were two ISP (which the new management would like to continue). Thus there are two NAT enabled devices at the last-mile from each ISP

Networking is almost an unknown to me. An ip config on the computers in the network brought the realization there are 2 sub-nets ... at least it looks like there are 2 sub-nets (192.168.1.x, and 192.168.2.x).
My gut tells me the above mentioned modem/router cannot be connected & configured to be used transparently for the computers connected to the other modem/router without additional hardware. Is this right?
How to configure Belkin N (F5D8636-4) Client IP Filtering so that a range of client IP' deny access to the internet using the following blocked time ranges e.g. Mon 5:00pm to Tues 2:00pm, Tues 5:00pm to Wed 2:00pm, Wed 5:00pm to Thur 2:00pm, Thur 5:00pm to Fri 2:00pm, Fri 5:00pm to Sat 10:00am, Sat 1:00pm to Sun 10:00am, Sun 1:00pm to Mon 2:00pm - BTW - this access regime is to deny internet access for my teenage son?
I have come across articles mentioning that URL Filtering can be implemented by using ASA 5505 with URL Filtering Servers. But Websense and other Web Filtering Servers are paid ones ? Are there any free solutions available ? What exactly is N2H2 ? The reason is I don 't want to increase the CPU utilization of ASA by implementing URL filtering within the device. If I have around 30 nodes which connects to the internet via a 2Mbps line through ASA 5505 and if I want to block around say 10 or 15 URLs , will it increase CU utilization beyond permissible limits ? Currently the CPU Utilization is around 10 - 15 . Here's the infrastructure setup .
We have just buy a Cisco Small Business Router, model RV082. I need to enable the content filtering, but we just realized that this equipment does not filter HTTPS urls, even with the solution "Cisco ProtectLink Web" the equipment does not filter HTTPS urls.
For example, if I type on my browser just [URL], the access blocked, but if I type HTTPS:[URL], the access is allowed! Is there any way to block urls with HTTPS?
I have a Cisco RV082 that doesn't appear to filter any selected categories. To run through what i've done so far, within the 'Web Protection' screen i've: enabled URL filteringconfigured a number of categories to filter by putting a tick in the repective business hours boxset the business days to 7 days a weekspecified business time as 24hrshit the save button.
My licence appears as activated and my platform shows as "gateway service".I've gone on to a number of machines and all are able to access websites that fall under my blocked category (facebook for example even though i've blocked the social networking category).
I'm interested by the router Cisco RV180 or RV180W.
So as to increase security, i would like to set a MAC adress access restriction for all peripherals that would be connected to the router (10 computers, 2 servers, 6 Synology NAS) : only allowed MAC adress should access to the internet and network ressources.
Does the Cisco RV180 or RV180W have an IP to Mac biding feature and a Mac adress restriction feature ? If yes, how many peripherals/computers can be set ?
For example, only 30 mac/IP adress can be allowed on my actual router and it is not enough.
I face a strange bahavior with my rv220w router : I set up access rules to deny all outbound trafic for a particular IP range. It seems to work fine .... but when I enable content filtering, HTTP access on port 80 works again (and other ports are denied). It seems that activating content filtering makes the router ignore firewall rule.
I was wondering if i can enable url filtering on my 2691 or 2651XM routers so that if someone visits any website i can see that under router logs. right now i am using kiwi syslog that logs the router activities.
I'm working withbusiness set up a remote office, currently with about 45 PC's that could grow in the future. They are looking at a RV042G or (for long term future growth) a ISA570.They want to be able to do content filtering by category, ie restrict gambling, drugs, etc. sites rather than by URL or addresses. Is either the RV042G or the ISA570 capable of doing this? Are both routers to be available long term? ie, they are not on any end-of lists? I've looked and did not see them on any.Is the RV042G capable of handling an office even starting with 45 PC's? If not, is the 570 a good fit?
If your wireless indicator is flashing red when you discover the smurf, it can mean that someone has tried to logon with an incorrect password. this is not necessarily an attack, it could be someone you have allowed access too, who has forgotten the password? In this case entering the correct password will solve the problem. However putting your own MAC address into the filter will simply block your own machine.
I have the N600DB Wireless Router I am connected to the internet, but cannot open My Routers Homepage with http://router or http://192.168.2.1. How can I get to this page to reset the router settings? I also cannot connect any of my wireless devices to the network..
I have two matching N300 Belkin routers. The cable modem feeds into modem1 and modem1 feeds into modem2. I get a good wireless connection on modem1. Modem2 shows up on a wireless scan and it accepts the password. It however will not connect.
In my house...I have one router upstairs (Belkin F5D8236-4) and great signal upstairs...downstairs signal is not so swift and sometimes, I can't even get a signal. So I thought let me go purchase a router (router # 2) and set it up downstairs and see if that will improve the signal of my Belkin. The 2nd router I purchased is a Belkin N150 (I thought buy 2 Belkins...maybe they can communicate better?). What I need to know is how do I connect the Belkin N150, to my Belkin F5.. and just use it to strengthen my signal to my downstairs part of the house?
I see the switch to toggle the QOS on and off, but it is greyed out in on and will not allow me to switch. I would like to see if it solves the speed problem with my iPad. The newest firmware is installed in the router. I also tried changing other fields to see if it would unlock the quality of service field with no luck.
Lately I notice my router is very very slow. most of the time I cannot use my ipad or it takes too long and sometimes never finishes downloading a web site. I called Belkin support, and I was told that I need to update and configure, and to do that I have to pay more than what my router cost.
I was trying for hours to connect the USB Hard Drive of 3TB (My Book WD 3TB) in the USB port A and B of the router then the router won't reconize. I Have another the same model but different capacity and work excellent (My Book WD 2TB). What I can I do in order to use my hard drive in my network?
N600 router will not comunicate with my desktop computer through a cisco switch. The LAN was working fine when I was using a Linksys router. Is this a compatability problem between Belkin and Linksys products?
Belkin Router N300 Model:F9K1002V2 apparently forces me to have specific LAN and WAN IPs that I have been unable to change. My ISP has been changing my IP and advising me that everything works without issue. It's true that my IP does change, but only if I am directly connected to my modem - I have a completely different IP. If my router is connected to the modem and I am connected either by Ethernet/wifi from the router, my WAN IP is displayed as my IP & the completely different IP is nowhere to be found.
The issue is that this WAN IP seems to have been banned on a game that I played on a daily basis. Game support has not been responding to my requests & I know my account on that game still exists because I am able to play it when I'm directly connected to my modem. Connecting with my modem is not an option, as there are others in my home that also need to use wifi. So, if it's not already obvious, I'm looking for a way to change my WAN IP ... without having to toss out the product and buy a new router - which I am seriously beginning to consider it.
