The Lg840g is a tracfone with wifi capability. I get strong wifi signal and connection at home, but receive failure to connect to requested host message when I open the browser. This phone works at wayport wifi, so I assume it's a compatibility problem with the router. Is there a fix? (Router works great with our Acer and Kindle tablets though.)
View 1 RepliesI just got myself a Cisco RV220W, connected my laptop to configure it. I receive an IP adress by DHCP (192.168.1.x) and can ping the router (192.168.1.1). However, when I try to connect to the router by the web interface, I receive this message in my browser (Chrome):

In IE9: I get no error message, the page never loads
Is it DoA or how to get connected to the web interface?
I am running 32 bit windows 7 on my mac with boot camp. Normally, all is fine, but for some reason I can't connect to the internet on windows 7, but I can on my Mac OS on the same computer. I ran troubleshoot, but it says it can't find any problems. I was connecting to my home network yesterday, but I couldn't get on the internet, however now I'm just stuck connecting to "Identifying...". I installed a game yesterday, and I'm thinking that could be the problem, but I can't uninstall it because I can't connect to Steam. I tried system restore, but I get the error message 0x80070001, and if i choose to press run system restore anyway, I get the message "Catastrophic failure 0x8000ffff". Everything is plugged in.

I am able to connect via VPN from my office wireless. In my home I am not able to connect. I got the error as Login Failure Due to Remote host not responding. I have wireless connection in my home. I am able to surf internet and also able to ping the ip mentioned in VPN.

Everything works fine except vlan2 computer can only visit google.com and msn.com (they got unable to display the page when visit amazon or ebay). When I tried to ping yahoo in for vlan2. I got response but the ping is a bit high (500~600), but it shouldn't have problem opening webpage eventually.

I have a wireless network (cable modem and router) set up in my home, which all of my devices are able to connect to the internet just fine, all but two; one is a netbook and the other is a desktop. The netbook has a wireless card built in, and the desktop has usb wireless card. Both of devices are running xp (both are the only compters in my home ran on xp), and these are the only two devices that will not connect to the internet wirelessly, except for when the wireless is unsecure these two devices connect fine, but once I enable a password these two devices say connected with an excellent signal strength, but once I open up the brower no web page comes up (just a message saying server not found). These two computers are able to install automatic program updates from over the internet, but still no web page will come up.

Lately, I'd say for about the past 3 months, after I start up my computer, I open my mail (windows live) and I open an internet browser, either "IE" or "Firefox"... Mail opens and receives no problem... my internet connection is fine... (have trouble shot all of that), but the internet will not open... It looks like it is going to start, then nothing... no message, not a thing. So I reboot and it opens... very odd no rhyme of reason for it, simply works fine one day and not another... I can't find any info. on the internet about this problem and no one I know has ever heard of it... Yes, I've run all the scans and checks with no viruses/spam, etc. detected... I'm using AVG free and Malawarebytes... was using Windows Security Essentials when is started... I have also scanned the computer in safe mode and no problems detected.
View 4 Replies View RelatedWe've (an independent school) just bought an SR520 with a view to replacing one of our Draytek 2820s. We need to set up some site-to-site VPN with NAT and the Drayteks won't do it.
I've been trying to configure the SR520 in just the most basic fashion using CCA (3.1) and the CLI but with no success. I can't get a PPP connection with our ISP.
I've tried following the instructions in the software config pdf and also tried replicating the various 'running configs' reported in other posts in this forum to allow connection to a UK ISP, with no success. I don't know how many times I've reset the poor thing to factory defaults.
I have to say that I'm dismayed at how flaky the CCA appears to be. Many of the things I've tried with it simply don't work and often end up in it hanging. Close to useless in my view.
So instead I've tried to use the CLI which seems a lot more solid but is somewhat impenetrable and there's precious little by way of supporting explanation.
Can I use a belkin F7D6301 N wireless router to receive wifi? Are there any known firmwares for this model?
View 1 Replies View RelatedI am trying to open up certain ports to host multiplayer games on the internet on my computer and on Xbox 360.The only internet service provider is primecast. I am able to open the ports on my router but the ports still show closed using portforward.com portchecker. I disabled all firewalls and Anti-Virus, no luck. I even connected my computer directly to the modem, the ports are still closed. The Router is a Linksys WRT400N set to single band. The modem is an Alcatel although there is no model number (it has a fiber optic connection, coax connection and 2 ethernet port connections). The condo is cat 5 ready so the router has multiple ethernet cables which go to the ethernet wall plugs throughout the apartment which is how I connect to my desktop.
FYI:One of the games I am trying to play online IL2 1946, people simply cannot connect.In another game Company of Heroes, people cannot connect and I cannot connect to most games it says there is a NAT issue when connecting.
PS When I go into ipconfig I now see IPv4 and IPv6, I don't know if that has something to do with it but to my knowledge these sections were not here previously (before I moved).

In my house...I have one router upstairs (Belkin F5D8236-4) and great signal upstairs...downstairs signal is not so swift and sometimes, I can't even get a signal. So I thought let me go purchase a router (router # 2) and set it up downstairs and see if that will improve the signal of my Belkin. The 2nd router I purchased is a Belkin N150 (I thought buy 2 Belkins...maybe they can communicate better?). What I need to know is how do I connect the Belkin N150, to my Belkin F5.. and just use it to strengthen my signal to my downstairs part of the house?
