Broadband :: Cannot Surf The Web Nor Change The Homepage?
May 16, 2011I have windows xp on sony laptop. I use dial-up, cricket broadband and wifi. When on wifi I can surf. I cant cannot get off the homepage nor change it when I connect to my cricket broadband. Cant surf because it keeps going to Crickets homepage and when closing or opening another window, it will revert back to cricket and it keeps changing homepage

Mar 24, 2011I have a primary internet connection which is broadband and the secondary connection as a Reliance data card in my laptop. I have noticed that which ever connection,connects the last, becomes the primary connection and if the primary ever goes out, the second connection takes over and gives me continuous connectivity.Is it possible to configure and specify which connection I want to be primary regardless of which connection connects last etc?

I have connected the 2 by an ethernet cable and altered the IP address in the printer to one within our range from the provider however on our home page with BT it cannot see the printer. When i go print it says error, i have tried typing \toshiba into start and run but it just brings up error code: 0x80070035.

My question is that cisco website says there are two type of cable connections for this type of config --which are --T1 CSU/DSU ConfigurationSet one CSU/DSU to clock source internal, and the other CSU/DSU to clock source line. The linecode, framing, data-coding, and timeslots must be set the same on both CSU/DSUs.Four-Wire 56k CSU/DSU Configuration For my network connection which type of config i should use??Secondly i try to connect these ports by normal crossover cable it did not work.So for this type of connection i know i need T1 cross over cable-- which has RJ 48 connections at both sides.I check cable from ebay which is RJ45 RJ48 cross over -- will this cable work in my router to router connection.

Dec 15, 2011I'm having some trouble getting two Cisco 888's to work correctly back to back.. The two routers will ultimately be used in conjunction with a BT EPS8 circuit which is effectively four wires short distance between customer sites. We have configured lots of these using the older Cisco 878's.
Anyway, as i've been struggling to get line sync on site I've gone back to basics and connected the two 888's back to back. However, I've found that no matter what I do I can only get the routers to sync at 384kbps!? And that's with a one meter RJ11-RJ11 cable.. Very strange. When we've used the 878's we get much more bandwidth. I have tried statically assigning the line rate at both ends but it still only works at 384kbps.

May 13, 2011Tried up dd-wrt firmware few days back, I do really like it, but I do noticed my DIR-615 E4 Ethernet doesn't like my motherboard bundled Gbps Ethernet with dd-wrt firmware, and it's really un-stable, the link always up and down (Windows always report Ethernet link-disconnected!). So, I tried so hard to get into emergency page with IE8, Firefox with no success, the only browser can get into it is Google Chrome, but file-upload with Chrome always stuck!!! anyway, I found the SOLUTION!
**make sure you have the original firmware from DLink before you started the following procedure**
1. create a html file (dlink-recovery.html) with those following code (I got it dumped from Chrome! I've added "http://192.168.0.1" to form action)

2. change your PC network adapter configuration "Media Type" to 10mbps full duplex in network adapter configuration->advance settings (hope you know where!)
3. change your PC network IP to 192.168.0.* (any number except 1!)
4. unplug the power from DIR-615, then press-and-hold the reset button while plugging the power back to DIR-615, hold the reset button until the power led-flashing!
5. use firefox to open the dlink-recovery.html which created from step-1, browse the original-firmware and submit. if success upload, you'll able to see the 'flashing' page with percentage counting up.

This will be the firmware you have right out of the box. Be sure you go into the Admin. section and Save a Copy before you ever connect to the Internet.
