Can't Connect On Computer But Can Connect On Laptop

For some reason, I can see the wireless connections on my laptop but not on my Dell Computer. When ever I try to connect on my computer i see no wireless connections at all, i have A wireless USB adapter that use to be on put in the back and recieved wireless connections in the past but now it doesnt, I try the front ports, and nothing works except for one, but that one port doesnt work for some reason, the same thing happens, no connection at all.

I reinstalled my hp pavilion Dv3000 laptop with the windows xp disc and basic drivers from the reboot discs. Now when I start it up, it cant connect to my wireless internet through comcast that I have setup. The internet does work because I currently have a second laptop and two xboxs which connect fine. When I go to network connections its entirely blank.

4 new sony laptop.
Vaio would not connect using WEP 40-bit key. Logged into Airport Extreme router with Airport setup utility for Windows from Apple. Updated firmware from 5.1.1 to 5.7. Reset Encryption from WEP to WPA/WPA2 Personal.Connected Vaio on Wifi using WPA2. Removed ethernet cable and connection was good at 54MB/s.Completed Windows Update

Recently I installed connectify because my uni flat only had one wired outlet, and I wanted to use my xbox at the same time. It worked perfectly, but when I returned home I found my laptop could no longer connect to the home network, it just says it cannot connect, but all the over devices in the house work. My laptop can still connect to the internet via an ethernet cable but this isnt practical at home. I've uninstalled the connectify program, and tried my best to make sure I got rid of all the stuff it's done, but still my problem persists

Got a sky hub, its new and everything connects to it, all be it but one tower, it can find it and now and again it may conect with no or limited etc etc had the same problem with our last internet hub (BT) so its defo the computer as we also changed the Netgear USB adapter to a different tower unit and it connected, so it isnt the Sky hub and it isnt the wireless dongle. computer is running vista, i have disabled the security and it didnt work, i have uninstalled and reinstalled the software for the usb dongle a hundred times.it did once connect to the net this morning in my many attempts of fiddling and after the computer restarted it wont anymore. a medium strength moderately priced pint of your choice is the reward, subject to location and availability

I have a laptop using a wireless Ralink USB card to connect to the internet. Is it possible to use the unoccupied Ethernet cable slot to hardwire into a router and use the router to send out the wireless signal picked up by the USB card to other devices?

I recently changed my wireless router settings to accommodate an old computer running Windows XP that did not have the WPA2 security capabilities. I changed the security settings on my Netgear router to WPA and TKIS. I also have several other devices (tablets, readers) and three other computers all running Windows 7. I had no problems with the settings on all but one of the Windows 7 computers. I am absolutely certain that I have entered the security information correctly just as I did on every other device, but this one computer says, "the settings saved on this computer for the network do not match the requirements of the network".

Recently my computer has been unable to connect to a certain website. (cevo.com) I've deleted my cookies, tried different browsers, tried changing my MAC address, and still nothing. I've run several virus scans and tried connecting to the website on different computers in my home. It works on those computers. The website just won't load at all on my computer. Also, a program that must connect to the website to function properly won't work on my computer anymore either. I can connect to the website using a proxy site, but I still need to get this fixed.
When I ping cevo.com, this is what I get:

I am setting up two identical workstations at the company I work for. They are both brand new HP computers running Windows 7 64 bit. I set up one computer fine and added it to our domain. I tried connected the second computer and I can add it to the domain but for some reason it says "No Internet Access". I can ping our server and anything else on the network, but any website I try won't come up.
Most of the related issues I've searched for were all viruses but since this is brand new and has never been online that is not the case...unless an HP tech decided to play a cruel joke of course!
Could it be the network card? I didn't think so since it connects locally but who knows. I also disabled and enabled, took our sonicwall down and tried to obtain settings automatically, nothing works!

new HP 2000 computer he just purchased. I brought it to my house to set it up. No problems connecting to wifi at my home. Downloaded all the updates and got it ready for his house. When I tried connecting to his network, it kept giving me the network key. I know I was entering the correct information because we had his older computer and I copied the exact thing. I had also made a folder when I set up his other computer with his information for his network in it and I was going by that. I tried to automatically connect and I also tried to manually connect. I deleted the name of my network (that worked) and rebooted. It continually gives me the block to put the password in. I brought it back to my house and the wifi connected with no problems. His old toshiba had no problems connecting to his network. I disconnected it and reconnected it. Is there something about the settings I am not doing? Or is it a firewall setting? Is there something in the modem that is conflicting with the new HP. It's a WAP2 Personal with AES Encryption (did not work on that one), where as my network is a WPA Personal with TKIP Encryption (worked on this one). Will that make a difference and if so what do I do about it?

the internet connection to my computer was fine. Nothing wrong with it at all. I turned my computer off and went to bed. When I woke up the next day morning and turned my computer on, there was no internet connection. I turned my computer back off and went to school.I tried unplugging and plugging the Ethernet cable back in, but it will no longer connect with the Ethernet cable. I have managed to get it to work wire lessly.

My computer will not connect to the internet, it was working fine then all of the sudden disconnected, I have tried all the basic things like restarting the modem and using a different Ethernet, but none of those worked, so I am convinced that the problem is with the computer itself. I have it set up so that my netbook(which I am using right now) is wirelessly connected to the internet, and I have a ethernet cable going from the netbook to my desktop, giving the desktop internet(until it had this connection problem). I am using windows xp professional, and I have spent a lot of time browsing to try and fix the problem, but so far it is to no avail. First I'll start by saying when i try to repair the connection it comes up with the message " the following steps of the repair operation failed: renewing the IP address" I tried using ipconfig /release then ipconfig /renew, but when I do this it says "an error occured while renewing interface local area connection: unable to contact you DHCP server. request has timed out" when I type in "ipcofig" it says my IP address is 169.254.xxx.xx, after researching more i found out that this is bad, but when i try to renew to get rid of it it gives me the "unable to contact DHCP" message. I even tried reformatting with a different windows disc but the connection problem still persists.

Put bluntly, my laptop will not connect to any ftp site/server via any of the following methods:Command Line Software FTP Clients (Filezilla and other such programs) Windows Explorer (window) Browsers
However, if I try to use a WEB-BASED client, I am able to connect without a problem. What's stranger, if I try to connect to the same server on a different computer using the same wireless network (I'm running on Wifi), that computer has not problem connecting to the FTP server via all the methods mentioned above. So that should at least eliminate the wireless network itself from the list of possibilities.
And to the best of my knowledge it has nothing to do with the firewall as I've made every possible setting tweak to allow ftp connection in and out - I've even turned off the firewall and antivirus with no luck.
Which is why I have reason to believe it has to do with my laptop itself.

I can get it to connect to the internet through a direct link to the modem, but I've tried several routers and it has the same issue every time. I see "connected" but can't get online, and each time I try to ping the gateway it times out. The routers are brand new, so I can only think that the computer just doesn't want to work with them.

I have a laptop (win7) and desktop (vista) in a network. The laptop is wireless and the desktop is hard-wired into a d-link router. My computer recently updated and since then I cannot connect to my desktop from my laptop. The desktop shows up in the network map but when I click it, it hangs and says "network path not found". I can ping the IP and the name of the PC from command line but I cannot access it. I have internet connectivity the whole time regardless and I've tried multiple routers.
