Cannot Connect Magnavox Blu-ray Player To The Internet

I have a Magnavox Blu-ray player, model number MBP5130/F7, that I cannot get to connect to the internet. The Blu-ray player has built in wireless and I have tried connecting it through a wireless and a wired connection but neither one works. I keep getting an error message that says "DHCP cannot be aquired. Please confirm connection or set it with manual operation." I have 3 laptops and 2 video game systems that connect to my router perfectly fine so I really don't understand what the problem is.

I have been using a Magnavox 5130 BlueRay Player for a several years. Recently, over the last 4 to 6 months, we have experienced connectivity issues with Netflix. My router is on floor 2 in my office, and the signal strength is strong throughout the house. The Wii with Netflix is in the basement, and it never has a connectivity problem; two laptops are used throughout the three levels with no connectivity problems. So why does the wireless connectivity on the blue ray player suffer? It shows a weak signal, yet when I place my laptop next to it, it shows 5 out of 5 signal strength.I thought maybe there was something in the entertainment center that was perhaps interfering with the signal, so I moved it outside and on top of the entertainment center; no fix.

It seems to be a similar problem to the one that Adie of Texas was experiencing. I looked through that thread and did the same things but still cannot get it to connect to the internet. It will connect to the wireless network but will not connect to the internet. The first night I purchased it I some how got it to connect and it updated. Since then I have been out of luck.

The device "sees" the wireless network (it displays the name) but I seem to get the error that the Wireless Router settings are incomplete - use advance settings to complete setup. In advance settings it fails - it is not possible to connect to the DNS server. Please confirm the internet connection or DNS address setting. IP Address 192.168.0.102;
My Magnavox BluRay player will no longer connect via wireless to my network. I get the same DHCP error that seems to have plagued many on this board.However, I've now entered my settings manually ten different times, and it does not work.
I have a problem getting connected with my wired powerline network to my DirecTV DVR and Sony Blu-Ray player. I have had no trouble in the 2+ years I have used it until last weekend when my modem locked up.I first used the ISP's self-repair utility but it failed. I then rebooted the modem and router and got internet back but now the devices cannot connect.The DirecTV DVR HR20-100 reported it as connected to the network but not the Internet and the same with the Blu-Ray.
I've connected my Panasonic TV successfully to my router via cable using the Auto IPS Address setup. I'm now trying to connect the Panasonic Blu Ray player using the Auto setup but it says it can't find IP address and asks me to check the router.
I have WRT54G router. The VIZIO VBR231 unit finds the network OK and indicates it is connected, but nothing will stream, and when I run a Network Test it gives me this 3 line error:
Connection to 0.0.0.0... successfully established Resolving... could not be established Please check your connection and try again.
The VIZIO support folks were not beneficial at all, and said something about Port 80 or Port 43 not being open or available. When I talked to linksys support, they said I needed to add the VIZIO player's IP (which appears to be 0.0.0.0 in the system settings). I poked around a bit, including the Port Forwarding tab on the router setup, but could not see a way to assign 0.0.0.0 to one of these ports, and I am hesitant to experiment.
I'll probably just return the unit to Costco, but I'm trying this forum as a last ditch effort. BTW I have a VIZIO internet TV that I love, and that had absolutely no problem at all connecting to the wireless.
I have done everything pretty much recommended previously with other users except have not opened up my network. I don't feel I should have to do that since it seems to be the encryption or the static ip. I am running on a Belkin N+ router.
after i enter the security key for my router it says it is unable to connect to the network. it also has me manually put in my ip address and it says my gateway ping is incorrect. where do i find this information
My new Samsugn blu ray player must be connected to the cable modem at the same time as my PC to stream movies says Netflix. Only problem is there is only one HDMI connection back there. I do not wish to by surrounded by RF so I want to go with cables. What is the best way to proceed? I repeat, I do not wish to have a wireless router.
I have a Samsung BD-C5500 Blu Ray player and am using the Samsung PC Share Manager software. For some reason, the software is not recognizing the player. However, the player is able to connect to the internet (I stream Netflix). I am running Windows XP service pack 3 and both my BD player and PC are connected to the same router (D-Link 601). IP address for BD player is 192.168.0.102 and PC is 192.168.0.100. BD player firmware is up to date.

I bought a Philips blu ray player that has an ethernet port to connect to stream movies. My router is located on a different floor so connecting via an ethernet cable is not an option. How do I connect my blu ray player on the 2nd floor to the router on the 1st floor?
I am trying to set up to watch a live webcast and get the the following essage,"Windows Media Player cannot connect to the server. The server name might not be correct, the server might not be available, or your proxy settings might not be correct." I have tried to verify proxy server settings and it still gives me the message.
MySony BDPS570 will not pick up the wireless signal from my router which is sited about 12 feet away through two breeze block walls. A laptop placed next to the BDPS570 has no difficulty in making a connection. In the past I have overcome this problem by using two Netgear AV200 Powerline devices. However, I now require the Powerlines for a TalkTalk Youview connection and am looking for a cheap and elegent method of reconnecting the BDPS570. I could just buy another ethernet cable and swap it for the Youview one when I want to use the 570 but that seems a bit of a fag
How do I hookup my blue ray player to my CLEAR internet modem? Themodem is hooked up to my pc. I have an ethernet cable that I can hook upto the blue ray but can,t hook up to the modem as it only has one ethernet
I'v been getting this strange problem.Each 5-10 minutes my internet restarts,it basically shut downs for 20 sec and then reapears,its really annoying because videos take 1 year to load,i cant play any multiplayer games because i get kicked every 5 mins and i cant talk on skype because call crashes each 5 mins.I am using a linksys router.
I have the E1000 Linksys Router and I am using a network cable to connect to my Sony Blu-ray BDP-S370. When I watch HULU through the player it kills the entire internet connection for all PCs. I have to unplug the router in order to restart it. Everything will also work just fine until the next crash.Here's the thing, I'll watch a bit of the show and see the commercials and the router will only crash when it comes back to the show. If I watched 100 commercials they would not crash, but as soon as it returns to the show CRASH. Restart and we watch again.
Ive been trying for days now to set up my Apacer AL460 Media Player to my computer but end up getting fraustrated Prompts Net User ID and password on my TV... what is that?Also DHCP says its not ready. All I'm trying to do is play music files stored on my PC upstairs with my Dune Media Player downstairs which is part of my home cinema system. The Dune player is hardwired ethernet via Homeplugs and can "see" my PC and media library and the folders in there, but everything shows up as empty - photos/music etc. The Dune will "see" a netbook we have via wireless and displays the contents no problem. Netbook is running XP Home and the PC Win 7 64bit.Initially, all worked in that the Dune player saw the Win 7 PC and libraries. I could do a slide show of photos and see the music files but couldn't play them - unsupported Codec. All my music on the PC is lossless and in WMA Lossless format to make things easier when using WMP12. However, nothing really supports this format and most devices prefer FLAC/ non Microsoft - and here's the collision. WMP12 doesn't like FLAC - even with plug ins I've tried, it's hard work.Decided to dump WMP12, clear libraries and wipe it's database. Installed Mediamonkey version 4 instead as this will do all I want - apart from maybe photos. Have transferred some FLAC albums over to Music Library and Mediamonkey gets all artwork etc and plays them. Have enabled Mediamonkey to act as a UPNP server and it's running. However, the Dune Media player still sees empty folders in the PC Libraries - music and photos. All the folder are shown such as All Music, Albums, Artists etc, but there's nothing in them.When clearing WMP12 library and database, I stopped Windows Media Player Sharing Service in services.msc.I have restarted this in case it makes a difference. No change.
why can't the Dune Player (or Roberts Internet DAB radio we have) see what's in the library folder when using Mediamonkey. It's the same using WMP12 with FLAC files. It did see everything when WMP12 was fully loaded and set with WMA Lossless - but the codec isn't really supported by anything other thanm Microsoft.
I am not wanting to use my router as I have disconnected it all together. I ran an ethernet cable from the back of my dvd player to another room where my computer is. I plugged ehthernet cable to computer. And dvd player saying no network.

I have 2 computers running windows 7 home premium and wireless enabled bluray player. One of the computer is desktop and connected to router by wire. Another is laptop and is wireless.Bluray is wireless.I want to establish a network (sharing among all these 3 devices) so that i can stream media from both of the computers to the bluray. At the mean time it would be great to be able to share files between 2 computer when needed.I checked it on google, it says creating a homegroup. I did but another computer does not give me option to join the group, it also has option to create.
the dvd player says its connected to the internet when I go through the wireless settings but it still says there is a connectivity issue. It was previously showing 0.0.0.0 for all IP address information etc. I read the last post on this forum considering the issue and guessed at what I should input in under manual. I own a Panasonic DMP-BD80 Bluray player. It has both an ethernet connection and a USB port. I'd like to add the Bluray player to my wireless network but I don't know what equiptment to buy or how to install it.
I have a micro-server at home running Server 2012 which is going to have a few virtual machines on hyper v.I also would like to use the server to watch films on which will be connected to by tv using a hdmi cable..I wanted to know is it ok to play films off server 2012 and watch them on the tv?
