Magnavox MBP5130/F7 Blue-ray Player Router Settings Incomplete
May 18, 2011
I recently purchased the Magnavox MBP5130/F7 Blue-Ray player. I have been trying to get the player to connect to my wireless network so that I can stream Netflix, etc. I am using a Linksys router. The device "sees" the wireless network (it displays the name) but I seem to get the error that the Wireless Router settings are incomplete - use advance settings to complete setup. In advance settings it fails - it is not possible to connect to the DNS server. Please confirm the internet connection or DNS address setting. IP Address 192.168.0.102;

I recently purchased the Magnavox MBP5130/F7 Blue-Ray player. I have been trying to get the player to connect to my wireless network so that I can stream Netflix. I am using a Linksys router. It seems to be a similar problem to the one that Adie of Texas was experiencing. I looked through that thread and did the same things but still cannot get it to connect to the internet. It will connect to the wireless network but will not connect to the internet. The first night I purchased it I some how got it to connect and it updated. Since then I have been out of luck.

I have done everything pretty much recommended previously with other users except have not opened up my network. I don't feel I should have to do that since it seems to be the encryption or the static ip. I am running on a Belkin N+ router.

I have a Magnavox Blu-ray player, model number MBP5130/F7, that I cannot get to connect to the internet. The Blu-ray player has built in wireless and I have tried connecting it through a wireless and a wired connection but neither one works. I keep getting an error message that says "DHCP cannot be aquired. Please confirm connection or set it with manual operation." I have 3 laptops and 2 video game systems that connect to my router perfectly fine so I really don't understand what the problem is.

I have been using a Magnavox 5130 BlueRay Player for a several years. Recently, over the last 4 to 6 months, we have experienced connectivity issues with Netflix. My router is on floor 2 in my office, and the signal strength is strong throughout the house. The Wii with Netflix is in the basement, and it never has a connectivity problem; two laptops are used throughout the three levels with no connectivity problems. So why does the wireless connectivity on the blue ray player suffer? It shows a weak signal, yet when I place my laptop next to it, it shows 5 out of 5 signal strength.I thought maybe there was something in the entertainment center that was perhaps interfering with the signal, so I moved it outside and on top of the entertainment center; no fix.

I have a WRT54G router and for some reason I'm unable to receive the media stream at my home, but when I connected to my friends N-type router it works fine. I have no other connectivity issues. The only thing that I remember doing that may have caused this was to upgrade my firmware because my droid phone wouldn't connect.

When ever I play a video a pop up will occur pertaining to permission for some site or another to store some of their information on my computer, I can choose accept or deny. I click on accept but the box just stays on the screen and I can't get rid of it. The only time that this box will pop up is if I'm reading any kind of story and there is a video to watch with it, I'll read the story then click on the video and then the box pops up and I tried clicking the accept then the deny buttons but nothing happens. Once in a while if I keep clicking one or the button repeatedly the box will go away but by the time that happens, the video is over. All I wanna do is change the settings so it will never pop up again. So how do I do that

I've just discovered that my wireless router is not secure (WRT54GS v5). In trying to set up the propoer security, the set up screen appears as incomplete (after entering 192.168.1.1). It only shows 3 tabs at the top - Basic Setup, MAC Address Clone, and Advanced Routing. No tab to deal with the settings. I have tried resetting the router and plug/unplug several times. Triued entering thru IE and Firefox. Is there another way to set up the security on my router or at least get the proper screen?

I have a 3750X set up with a number of VLANs and have connected a WLC5500 to this. I've assigned the port on the switch to the correct VLAN, given the WLC a management address on that VLAN and it has the correct gateway. I can ping to this gateway from other devices, but not from the WLC and can't ping or browse to the management address of the WLC (I can browse to it when plugged directly into the SP).
When checking the switch arp table, it shows the IP entry of the WLC as INCOMPLETE yet show cdp nei detail shows the device on the correct IP and all the device details. I have changed the port on the switch, the port on the WLC, the cable and the GBIC, cleared the arp and rebooted all devices and it hasn't made any difference. On the switch, I tried assigning the burned-in MAC to that IP statically but it didn't work - does each port have an individual MAC?

've used every version of ie up to 7 with no real problems, but I figured it had to be the browser, so I switched to Firefox. No improvement!Problems:When downloading (WinXP PC) online, suddenly all zips and apps (even Flash Player for browser) started showing "incomplete" or as it's called "Corrupt" files. One or two or maybe more small files would be left out. When finished downloading, it would say it completed the right mb's, but when unzipping or trying to install, there would be files missing. Tried "Repair" in WinRAR, no luck.

I read that it may be a L1/L2 issue. We tried with another ethernet cable. We also tried with another IP device of the same model. That did not solve the issue.

I have an E3000 with an external hard drive attached via USB with several movies saved on it as ISO's. How to stream a movie to my wireless blu ray player, Sony S580. I was able to stream the iso to a netbook attached to the LCD tv by using VLC on the netbook. The only videos I can access on the blu ray player that are on the external hard drive are home videos I converted to DVD quality before uploading, they're not HD. I can access pictures and music on the blu ray from the external hard drive as well. I tried converting an iso to MVK but was unable to access/find it using the blu ray player.

I have WRT54G router. The VIZIO VBR231 unit finds the network OK and indicates it is connected, but nothing will stream, and when I run a Network Test it gives me this 3 line error:
Connection to 0.0.0.0... successfully established
Resolving... could not be established
Please check your connection and try again.
The VIZIO support folks were not beneficial at all, and said something about Port 80 or Port 43 not being open or available. When I talked to linksys support, they said I needed to add the VIZIO player's IP (which appears to be 0.0.0.0 in the system settings). I poked around a bit, including the Port Forwarding tab on the router setup, but could not see a way to assign 0.0.0.0 to one of these ports, and I am hesitant to experiment.
I'll probably just return the unit to Costco, but I'm trying this forum as a last ditch effort. BTW I have a VIZIO internet TV that I love, and that had absolutely no problem at all connecting to the wireless.

I am unable to see my network media player (wired CAT6 or wireless) using the SAMBA Share feature. My UPNP works fine. I do not have this issue when I am using the Linksys WRT54G or a Netgear WNDR3700 (I returned it to give the E3000 a try) - so I know all my share persmissions and device firewall is turned off. How do I get it to work with the E3000? I want to be able to transfer and stream media files to my media player using SAMBA. Usually my network media player automatically detects SAMBA Servers/Devices and adds it to its list for me to access. But when I use the E3000 that is not the case.

As the subject says, I've hooked up a Samsung BD player to a BEFSR41 router. The router has the current firmware version. When I run the connection test for the player, the local connection is good but the Internet connection fails and the message is " The HTTP port is disabled."
I've searched high and low for a solution to no avail. I did searches on the forum and couldn't find anything. As a test, I connected the BD player directly to the DSL modem and the Internet connection worked perfectly so it appears that the blockage is within the router.
I've serched through the router setup and have changed most settings to try and find something that would work. Nothing worked so I have returned my setup to its original state.
