after i enter the security key for my router it says it is unable to connect to the network. it also has me manually put in my ip address and it says my gateway ping is incorrect. where do i find this information
View 1 RepliesI have a Samsung BD-C5500 Blu Ray player and am using the Samsung PC Share Manager software. For some reason, the software is not recognizing the player. However, the player is able to connect to the internet (I stream Netflix). I am running Windows XP service pack 3 and both my BD player and PC are connected to the same router (D-Link 601). IP address for BD player is 192.168.0.102 and PC is 192.168.0.100. BD player firmware is up to date.

So I've been tearing my hair out trying to get this darn thing sorted but to no avail.So, I've bought a Samsung BD-E5500 blu-ray player which has internet capability either through Ethernet or a Samsung wireless adapter. I am not willing to spend an extra £40-£70 on an adapter and obviously don't relish the idea of running a very long cable to my router upstairs. However the general concensus is that it's possible to take a cable out of the Ethernet and into a wireless AP or router, using it as a bridge to the main wireless router. So I have tried this and failed, of course not having a clue as to what I'm really doing. I have a Netgear ME102 access point which the player can't seem to get on the network with at all and also I have tried using a Belkin F5D7632 wireless router. Now, with the Belkin router the player does say that it can access the network, however it says that it cannot access the internet. The wireless router that I have upstairs is an O2 Wireless Box 3.

To the Linksys WRT120N I have connected via Ethernet a Samsung BD-E5500 player.Through the Linksys WRT120N Access Point, I am wirelessly able to browse Internet through my cellphone, however, E5500 keeps reporting that while it is connected to the network, it is can not connect to the Internet. The Network Settings is Wired and Auto for IP and DNS.
View 3 Replies View RelatedI got no code, and as a matter of fact have no Internet connectivity to my Bluray player. When I go to my Bluray setting tab and run a network test the MAC Address checks out but fails when it gets to IP Address. My Bluray is plugged directly into my router and it still shows no Internet connection between the two, even though my x-box 360 has no problem nor does my computer. When looking at my network settings the IP Addresss boxes all have numbers in them, the Subnet Mask boxes two of four boxes have numbers the others are zeros, the Gateway boxes are all zeros, and the DNS Server boxes are all zeros. I read many of the posts in this forum and all problems seem pretty similar to mine.
View 4 Replies View RelatedAs the subject says, I've hooked up a Samsung BD player to a BEFSR41 router. The router has the current firmware version. When I run the connection test for the player, the local connection is good but the Internet connection fails and the message is " The HTTP port is disabled."
I've searched high and low for a solution to no avail. I did searches on the forum and couldn't find anything. As a test, I connected the BD player directly to the DSL modem and the Internet connection worked perfectly so it appears that the blockage is within the router.
I've serched through the router setup and have changed most settings to try and find something that would work. Nothing worked so I have returned my setup to its original state.

View 14 Replies View RelatedI have WRT54G router. The VIZIO VBR231 unit finds the network OK and indicates it is connected, but nothing will stream, and when I run a Network Test it gives me this 3 line error:
Connection to 0.0.0.0... successfully established
Resolving... could not be established
Please check your connection and try again.
The VIZIO support folks were not beneficial at all, and said something about Port 80 or Port 43 not being open or available. When I talked to linksys support, they said I needed to add the VIZIO player's IP (which appears to be 0.0.0.0 in the system settings). I poked around a bit, including the Port Forwarding tab on the router setup, but could not see a way to assign 0.0.0.0 to one of these ports, and I am hesitant to experiment.
I'll probably just return the unit to Costco, but I'm trying this forum as a last ditch effort. BTW I have a VIZIO internet TV that I love, and that had absolutely no problem at all connecting to the wireless.
I am unable to connect my samsung blu ray dvd BD-P3600 via the wireless connector. I have tried all 3 secure modes with the wep key to my wireless G router, none work. However, I cannot connect my Samsun BD-C7900 Blu Ray. What is really wierd is that the 5 Ghz and 2.4 Ghz have two different names on my router (cause that is what the cisco support tech told me to do- give them separate names) but on the Samsung BD-C7900 - it shows that there are two signals coming in but with the same name! 1. TV can't get IP address
2. When I entered IP, Gateway, DNS manualy in my TV it connects to router but not to internet.
3. When I switch cable to my laptop it registered and get dynamic IP without any problem.
4. I've insert WIFI adapter into TV and it connected and got dynamic IP without any problem.
Trying to connect a Samsung clp-315w wirelessly to my E3000. I plug the Ethernet cable into both to configure the printer and I cannot access the printer via its IP address. I suspect the printer is reporting the wrong IP address or it the IP is not being assigned by the router or it is being blocked by the router. Routers firewall is off. I use the Samsung software and it does not see the printer either. It seems the router is not seeing the printer or allowing it access to the network. Spent much time with a good Samsung support person and tried everything and narrowed the problem down to the router connection. Is there a setting on the router which needs to be changed to allow me to see the printer to configure it for wireless access?

I have had no trouble in the 2+ years I have used it until last weekend when my modem locked up.I first used the ISP's self-repair utility but it failed. I then rebooted the modem and router and got internet back but now the devices cannot connect.The DirecTV DVR HR20-100 reported it as connected to the network but not the Internet and the same with the Blu-Ray.
