When I try to connect the galaxy to the wireless network, the tablet shuts down (to the start page, unlock page) when it is searching for the ip address for the network. The firmware is 1.55.02. Cannot get upgrade as not available from Cisco. Have disconnected all other devices from the network in case there is some interference problem.
just got a samsung galaxy s2 great phone but cannot connect to home network via netgear router, i can see the network but if wont connect. i can connect the my work one no problem via wep key.i have tryed every thing do still no go
My phone won't connect to my Belkin router (F5D7230-4) thru the wifi connection. It previously had connected fine, but I'd reset the router today & changed the password. I'm able to connect with no problems (thru wifi or regular connection) on my pc. I went to my Belkin router page and have looked at my MAC settings (only option it gives is to clone, which I tried), I've also tried changing the password....my phone also gave me the option of hitting the WPS button on my router within 2 minutes, which I did, but it would not configure automatically as it was supposed to.
My brother got a samsung galaxy s captivate yesterday to replace his pos iphone 3g on Rogers Wireless. He wants to connect to the Dlink DIR-615's wifi to cut down on the data usage while at home on his 500mb per month data plan the ssid and the password are fine, but it hangs on the message "obtaining IP address..." which then after a while refuses to continue to connect and labels the connection "disabled"... the connection type is WPA2 AES something or other so as to guarantee wireless N connections for the xbox and my pc (the ps3 doesn't really do everything, it only does G not N lol)...
I am not familiar with the phone as it's not mine (someday maybe...) so maybe there is a setting i missed. I do know the router is not mac address restricted (meaning only certain computers are allowed to connect).
I have a Samsung galaxy tab 10.1 and I cant connect to my wifi network. Months ago I was able to connect to it but since I changed the router settings I cant, and now it just says it's out of range. My laptop is still able to connect but the tablet doesn't.

I am unable to connect to my home network over VPN from my Samsung Galaxy S3 phone. I have a Netgear WGR614v01 wireless router. This router has my desktop computer and windows 2012 server plugged into it. The server is a domain controller that has the following roles installed: DHCP, DNS, ADDS, IIS, and Remote Access. My Windows 7 Professional desktop is joined to the domain controller. The wireless router serves my netbook, smartphones, and ipods. They do not authenticate with the DC but do get a DHCP ip address from the server.I have my Samsung Galaxy S3 phone that I'd like to be able to use to VPN into my network. Here is what I have done;Disabled the DHCP service on the router. Setup port forwarding to forward PPTP to my server's static IP address on port 1723.I created a user on my DC for this purpose and enabled the account for network dialup service.I created a DHCP Relay Agent in the Remote Access MMC.I opened up the Remote Access app on the server's firewall. On my phone I setup a 'New VPN Connection...' I use the username/password of the user I created for this purpose. I put in my ip address that I have from my ISP.
I have a samsung galxy 5 phone.. with ANDROID 2.1 installed in it.. I wan2 access internet thru wi-fi on my mobile. I have got myself a wireless router at home. the wi-fi settings page of my phone says that i am connected to the network i wanna connect to... but when i try 2 access any website thru d browser , it displays page not found..
I have a WRK54G v2 connected to a Ubee cable modem, and when my computer, connected with wifi or ethernet, tries to play a Youtube video, the actual webpage loads fine but the spinning dots in the player remain for several minutes before the video starts to load. If the video has to buffer again in the middle of playback, it also takes several minutes to start again. When the computer is connected directly to the cable modem, everything works fine. Youtube is the only site I am having an issue with, other video streaming sites like Vimeo work fine.
So I was having problems staying connected to the wifi on my samsung galaxy mini. Many fixes for other models in the galaxy series, limited fixes for the 'mini' version. Long story short, I was told to edit the DHCP lease time in my router settings. There I bumped into another problem. No mather what I tried there was no way of accessing the page. Weird thing is I remember having logged in on it before.Usually you just have to give in the standard gateway which should be 192.168.0.1 in my case. I checked it using ipconfig in cmd and my presumption was confirmed. Then I tried resetting the router to set back any settings that might've accidently been changed, in the hope that it would also reset the standard gateway and no succes. Now my knowledge about networking is verry limited.
The note 2 can connect with the router if I have the router set to open but when I change the security to anything else it keeps re-authenticating and will not connect.
Have only been using the wired before and it works great but now need to connect note 2 to do backups. I have even tried resetting the router back to factory settings and turning on WiFi again and no luck.
I have wireless connection through vodafone. I have just bought my daughter a samsung galaxy with wifi...I have forgottn my password to connect her... Where do I got my password from if I have forgotten it?
I just got a Samsung Galaxy S4. As I have always done with all of my devices that connect wirelessly, I went into the D-Link software and added my phone's MAC address to the network filter list. The security settings are WPA/WPA2. When I try to connect, the phone is able to see my Wi-Fi network, and it asks for my password, which I enter. It keeps trying to connect, but then it says an "authentication error occurred." I have checked and triple-checked the password, and it is correct. I have also checked and triple-checked the MAC address, and it is correct. I have rebooted the router and the phone several times each.
Just bought a samsung galaxy s4 and I haven't been able to get my WiFi to work with my Belkin router (Surf N300 wireless router, model F7D6301). I tried giving it a static IP and got it to connect to the network, but it still wasn't able to leverage the WiFi for use.The router firmware is up to date.
I have a Samsung Galaxy 10.1 tablet and have bee trying to connect to my WRVS4400N router with VPN through the "on board" software as well as with the Any Connect software from Cisco. I have no issues at the moment using Quick VPN from my laptop.
When using the Any Connect software I receive the following messages:
Security warning: untrusted certificate AnyConnect cannot verify the identity of <IP address>. Would you like to continue anyway? - Certificate does not match the server name. - Certificate is from an untrusted source. - Certificate is not identified for this purpose [Accept] [Details] [Cancel]
If I select accept, the following error is received:
"Error: Connection attempt has failed due to server communication errors. Please retry the connection".
I have tried setting up the on board VPN with the Samsug Galaxy but every attempt has resulted in a time-out of the connection.
I have a number of devices in my house connecting without issues:
1.) PS3 2.) XBox 360 3.) HP CM1415FNW 4.) Sony Dash 5.) iPone 4g/4gs 6.) Asus EP121 7.) Six Laptops 8.) TV 9.) Denon A/V
My android cant even pickup the SSIDs, I stand beside and still nothing, the SSIDs are not hidden, Ive tried different encryptions, changed from AES to TKIP, tried different channels. I have two seperate SSIDs, one 2.4GHz with B/G/N and a 5.0 with A/N Available, neither SSID is getting picked up
I found this router still in box and am now using it. I want to update the firmware because i am having issues with it. it has what i assume is the original Firmware 1.00.1. The downloads for this router are no longer available. Why?
There is no “firmware” number after the model and I believe this router has never had a firmware upgrade. However, if I try to download any of the 3 upgrades from the Linksys support site I get the message “firmware not available, sorry for the inconvenience.” Since the suggested solutions to so many problems posted in the forum is to first upgrade the firmware, I find this response with no explanation quite annoying. I am having problems replacing my current hardwired Linksys two port router with the WRK54G wireless 4-port router. Questions regarding that problem I will post under a different topic. For now, how I can get the firmware upgrade for the WRK54G?
So now I have a good connection with my secondary router going to my acer a500 android tablet, my laptop, and panasonic viera tv. All is good thus far. However, I cannot connect my Samsun BD-C7900 Blu Ray. What is really wierd is that the 5 Ghz and 2.4 Ghz have two different names on my router (cause that is what the cisco support tech told me to do- give them separate names) but on the Samsung BD-C7900 - it shows that there are two signals coming in but with the same name! When i tried to connect i get an error message. Keep in mind my E4200 v2 is secondary router connected to fios actiontec.
Trying to connect a Samsung clp-315w wirelessly to my E3000. I plug the Ethernet cable into both to configure the printer and I cannot access the printer via its IP address. I suspect the printer is reporting the wrong IP address or it the IP is not being assigned by the router or it is being blocked by the router. Routers firewall is off. I use the Samsung software and it does not see the printer either. It seems the router is not seeing the printer or allowing it access to the network. Spent much time with a good Samsung support person and tried everything and narrowed the problem down to the router connection. Is there a setting on the router which needs to be changed to allow me to see the printer to configure it for wireless access?
I have a new Windows 7 laptop which cannot connect to internet through my WRK54G Linksys router. Other laptops can connect through the same router, and the same laptop has connected through other routers. The laptop has it's TCP/IPv6 and TCP/IPv4 internet protocols set to get addresses automaticaly.
ipconfig shows that the IPv6 autoconfiguration address is 169.254.28.183 instead of 192.168.1.XXX. I tried the ipconfig/release and ipconfig/renew commands, as recommended by the knowledge base, but got the following error message: No operation can be performed on wireless network connection 2 while it has its media disconnected.
I've got a E3000 router and I'd like to be able to stream movies and access files from the USB connected HD on my router to my galaxy tablet.I understand that this can be done. I've poked around and cannot find anything that's worked for me.
I purchased an Samsung UE46ES6300 Smart TV for my Boyfried for Christmas & we are struggling to connect it to our WiFi to use the features. Obviously I went through the procedures - Network settings, found my WiFi, typed in my Network password & unfortunately states: 'Unable to connect to the Wireless Router'. Taking into account my Virgin Media Router is directly next to my TV? The Wireless & Internet is 100% working as we have other devices running of it - I-pad, Laptop, Phones etc!
I just bought a Samsung BD-D5300 Blu-ray player that allows a bunch of networking options including wireless and wired. I was using the wired option when I came across some conflicts with my network using a Linksys WRT350N v1. The Samsung conflicted with the Linksys's DHCP server. The blu-ray player turns off automatically when inactive. It was causing conflicts with my iPad 2, MacBook Pro and Motorola Atrix android phone whenever it got assigned an IP address. When I reset the router and my cable modem, it wasn't assigned an address for awhile, which fixed things, but as soon as it got an address again, it was caused conflicts by being seen as a LAN by my router. When it wasn't receiving an address, it got the automatic private IP address of 169.x.x.x. When I removed the connection with my router, the conflicts disappeared and my computers were able to access my wifi again.
Just purchased an E900 wireless router and cannot figure out how to connect my Samsung wireless printer. The printer has a WPS button, but the router does not. The router wants me to input information into the Samsung printer, but the printer has no screen, and I cannot find a place to input the router info anywhere in the Samsung software. I am going crazy here...I'm not a techie, but I'm also not a complete technology idiot.
