Jun 6, 2011I have two Roku units and neither can connect to the internet with my Motorola sbg901 wireless modem. Up until just a few days ago I was able to connect just fine. I called my ISP (Cableone) and tried to have them change my DNS settings to open DNS to see if that fixed the problem but they said they wouldn't do that.

Mar 22, 20134 pcs are connected to a adsl bb router having 4 lan ports. i have removed the adsl cable going to the bb router cos bb giving problems. i m then connecting to internet on any one pc using a tata photon usb device. i want to share this internet on other 3 pcs. those 3 pcs are getting their ips from the bb router in 192.168.1.x series. all pcs are pinging to gateway ie 192.168.1.1 but not pinging each other. why?

Sep 18, 2012I got no code, and as a matter of fact have no Internet connectivity to my Bluray player. When I go to my Bluray setting tab and run a network test the MAC Address checks out but fails when it gets to IP Address. My Bluray is plugged directly into my router and it still shows no Internet connection between the two, even though my x-box 360 has no problem nor does my computer. When looking at my network settings the IP Addresss boxes all have numbers in them, the Subnet Mask boxes two of four boxes have numbers the others are zeros, the Gateway boxes are all zeros, and the DNS Server boxes are all zeros. I read many of the posts in this forum and all problems seem pretty similar to mine.

May 10, 2011I have a problem getting connected with my wired powerline network to my DirecTV DVR and Sony Blu-Ray player. I have had no trouble in the 2+ years I have used it until last weekend when my modem locked up.I first used the ISP's self-repair utility but it failed. I then rebooted the modem and router and got internet back but now the devices cannot connect.The DirecTV DVR HR20-100 reported it as connected to the network but not the Internet and the same with the Blu-Ray.

Mar 8, 2011How do i connect two internet routers to one IP address range?I currently have one broadband router connected on 172.16.0.3 subnet 255.255.0.0, I have a second line which is a copper ethernet EFM 2Mb line connected using a Cisco 1800 router configured on 172.16.0.254 subnet 255.255.255.0, no DHCP is configured on either router. the dhcp is provided by a windows 2003 server on our LAN which is also configured on the same LAN IP range. if i connect the Cisco router into the same switch as the broadband router my network devices stop working and dont respond.
If i check the broadband router it shows all the connections to it as having the same MAC address as the Cisco router?? if i disconnect the Cisco router everything returns back to normal and works perfectly.What I want to achieve is to be able to run both routers on the same LAN to provide internet access by configuring the pc's to route through a specific router. the DHCP I want to stay routed through my original broadband line. at the same time i want all pc's to access to the lan devices (ie. servers and printers) what the correct configuration would be for the two internet routers would be?

May 6, 2011I am trying to setup a roku and the main router is about 30 ft away. I put in a repeater and it works for the laptop in the front room but not the roku. I was wondering if i could get a wireless adapter say the WET610N and configure it on the main computer then just plug it into the roku.

Mar 21, 2011I have WRT54G router. The VIZIO VBR231 unit finds the network OK and indicates it is connected, but nothing will stream, and when I run a Network Test it gives me this 3 line error:
Connection to 0.0.0.0... successfully established
Resolving... could not be established
Please check your connection and try again.
The VIZIO support folks were not beneficial at all, and said something about Port 80 or Port 43 not being open or available. When I talked to linksys support, they said I needed to add the VIZIO player's IP (which appears to be 0.0.0.0 in the system settings). I poked around a bit, including the Port Forwarding tab on the router setup, but could not see a way to assign 0.0.0.0 to one of these ports, and I am hesitant to experiment.
I'll probably just return the unit to Costco, but I'm trying this forum as a last ditch effort. BTW I have a VIZIO internet TV that I love, and that had absolutely no problem at all connecting to the wireless.
Roku Won't Connect To Netgear Router?
May 8, 2011We recently connected the Netgear WNR2000 to our modem. All wireless devices connect just fine, except for our Roku XD. It says there is an activation error. I've reset the box, unplugged, changed the channel via wireless settings. What's next??? I'm quite frustrated and would like to get this to work. The message I get is "activation issue. There was a problem connecting to the Roku server". Argh!! It was working fine with the other wireless modem/router (versalink 327W), but it kept going off (as in the signal would drop and we would have to turn it off/on to get it to work) and connected the netgear router to it today.

The routor itself is connect to the internet and other laptops can connect when given the password. I tried to set it up on a different laptop and got the same result. I have reset the factory setting and tried again with the same result I connect to the routor but not the internet. If I reconnect my talktlalk routor there is no problem.

I checked to see if the modem is compatible and it says it is. I went through the configuration that was given to me with the router and I tried using you tube but nothing. Do i need to get a static I.P address off my Internet provider? If I plug my 02 USB dongle directly into my computer it works perfectly and I got the router to work using a Ethernet cable and plugging it into the WAN port at the back of the router but I would prefer to let it connect through the 3g port
