Cisco :: 5508 - Error Messages / Receive Multicast Queue Is Full On Controller

I'm starting to see an error creep up that I havn't seen since 2003/2004 on my brand new 5508 controllers. I'm recieving the following from my WCS: Receive Multicast Queue is full on Controller and then on the controller itself RX Multicast Queue Full. I understand this used to be due to a large influx of ARP requests or CDP packets on older controllers but, this was supposed to be fixed in an update many years ago.
Has seen this on their 5508's. These were advertised as having the horsepower to handle our user loads which arn't really that high at 300 users at any given time max.

I'm seeing the alert "CPU Receive Multicast Queue is full on Controller" on the WCS from one of my controllers. This is during peak hours and on a pretty busy WLC. I can't find any related lines in the logfiles. I'm currently running software version 7.0.220.0 on a WISMs.

i have currently a 2504 WLC and some 1602i AP's.Basically so far i have configured the WLC as per the guidelines on the startup and now i want to join the AP's (which i haven't managed to do yet) and the setup the wireless network.I can get the AP to join and pickup an ip address and that is it. It comes up with different error messages from the WLC, and through hyper terminal, none of which i understand but the main jist is the following:

The WCS haven't have new event since the count of event goes 40000.And, the wcs-3-0.log shows INFO[stspoll] Event Queue seems full.In the FAQ which says:#The WCS keeps the last 40,000 events in the system and clears them up after seven days. An event or alarm can have 1000 bytes on average.shouldn't it clears them up after seven days? how to clean events by manual?

i have issues logging into one of our core switches.its a 6509 switch but i cannot log in remotely.when i try to console in on the console port, i cannot log in instead i get the above error message.I haven't rebooted yet but would it solve the problem as this switch is a production switch.

I am facing problem with an outdoor access point AIR-1522-K-E series which is unable to join a wirless lan controller 5508. The wireless AP is able to get IP address from dhcp server and discover the Wireless controller IP address. After this i see following status messeges on the console of AP.

I want to receive full BGP in my switch 6506 with the follow characteristics: cisco WS-C6506-E (R7000) processor (revision 1.2) with 458720K/65536K bytes of memory and Supervisor Engine 720.When I configure the session BGP in my router with me peer the switch begins to work slow and restarts.

I have two Cisco 3845 routers which receive a multicast stram via a tunnel interface, i.e Tunnel163 (PIM Dense mode is enabled). These routers are both connected to a LAN segment (FastEthernet0/1/0) where receivers are. [code] Router1 is the assert winner (highest IP address), it sees igmp joins request, but it's pruning the interface. It happens sometimes and it lasts until I manually issue clear ip mroute.Unfortunately I cannot migrate to Sparse Mode.

I setup a GRE tunnel between two cisco 1800 & 1900 routers. I can't received multicast.

I am constantly getting a few errors in my ASA 5510 and 5505 from the same IP. The IP of my NMS server, which has also stopped recieving SNMP data from these two VPNs.
Syslog Id: 713048 Error process payload: Payload ID: 1
Syslog ID: 713902 Removing peer from peer table failed. No Match.
Syslog ID: 713903 Error: Unable to remove PeertblEntry
I have tried to configure ACL to let traffic through. SNMP traffic to be more precise, but since I am fairly new to cisco firewalls and SNMP in general this has proven very difficult.

Our building used to have a very old server that basically just served as a place for teachers to store files and not much else. We have just changed ISPs and decided that we no longer needed the server at all. I disconnected the server from the network and replaced the old ISP's modem with the new ISP's modem. At first, everything seemed OK. My computer and several other teachers' connected to the Internet with no problem. However, some of the computers in the building could not connect. We get error messages with "limited or no connectivity." Part of me thought that perhaps the connections themselves are bad. However, when I take my laptop to classrooms with trouble connecting - mine connects easily using their cables. If I move their computers to my room, their laptops still won't connect. I have put my computer side-by-side with another one to make sure the settings were the same (auto-detect IP, DNS, etc.) and can't find differences. This problems is affecting our Windows 7, Vista, and XP computers the same.

Yesterday after booting my comp up I wanted to get on the internet but for the first time in years with my set up it just wouldn't connect, never done this before, we have a wireless O2 box upstairs which my son has a ethernet directly from the wireless router into his comp and my other son has a notebook (same as mine) and both of them were online but mine just wouldn't connect although I had nothing to say anything was wrong, o2 told me that if the other computers were online then it must be something on my comp that is causing the trouble ? but what could it be ? after three hours offline I rebooted and it was fine and got onto the internet no trouble, this morning it again wouldn't let me online and then bingo it just came on again at 4pm very strange to me

I know that the 3600 series APs are not supported on the 4404 WLC. However, would the following scenario be supported? I would like to use the 4404 (software rel. 7.0) as a guest anchor with a 5508 (software release 7.2) as the foreign controller supporting series 3600 APs. I ask because the APs do not need to join the guest anchor.

We have a customer that have 2 5508 as primary and backup controller and a 4400 as an anchor controller. We plan to upgrade the 5508 to 7.3.112.0 and the 4400 is already 7.0.116.0. Will there be any issue if the anchor controller is not the same code as the foreign controller? Do I also have to upgrade the acnhor controller to 7.0.240.0?

We started getting the below syslog messages from one of our ASA5520 which was recently upgraded to 8.4(2). Any bugs on 8.4(2) that cause this or its simply the RAM failure?

About three(3) months ago, I attempted to set up a wired network between a laptop running w-7 and a desktop with w-xp, sp3. Shortly afterwards, I started getting blue screens with error messages and codes about device confilcts. After disconecting the laptop, I still have the problem sometimes. I looked into the system, and found twenty-seven(27) items with yellow exclamation marks on them. Should I delete them or just disable them?

I have a WLC 5508 and several 1142 access points. The APs are not showing up in the WLC. When i console into the APs, im getting the following errors,

We use C2950G switches with IOS 12.1(22)EA12 . Switches are set up to send logs to a server (informationnal level). On this server, we receive many of logs from those switches, but none about interfaces errors (even if interfaces statistics show interfaces errors). On C3548 switches it's work fine.How should I be sure the set up of switches is correct ? Why do I never receive messages as %LINK-4-ERROR:[char] is experiencing errors ?

One of our Cisco 6500's fitted with a WS-X6704-10GE line card is showing a large number of Rcv-Err's on port 3. The port is disabled and no optic is even plugged in.Upon clearing counters, after every refresh the counters increment by 131070 -- so 131070 > 262140 > 393210 and so on. Seems a little strange that the buffer is full when nothing is connected.

I am unable to connect to the internet on my desktop computer. The error message I receive is" Download failed(12007) The sever name or address could not be resolved" I am running windows 7. Hooked up to att uverse. My laptop is working as you can see by sending this message. I have been trying to fix this problem for the last 2 days to no avail. I uninstalled norton hoping it was a firewall problem. On the local area connection it shows IPV4 connedtivety: No Network access.

I recieve 0X800CCC0F error message when trying to download emails with attachments. My ISP is BT. BT say they cant fix it on my computer but many people are having this problem. They say their technicians are trying to fix it presumbably on the servers.

I used the wlc 5508 GUI to enable multicast in the CONTROLLER section, AP Multicast mode "Multicast" with a group address 239.1.1.1. Also in the "Multicast" section enabled Global Multicast Mode and IGMP Snooping.
My wired network is using a bsr and pim sparse-mode all around. My wlc is connected to a core 6513 L3 switch and on a neighbor L3 switch I can see a shared tree mroute entry and a source based entry for the wlc multicast group I created,
sh ip mroute
( *, 239.1.1.1 )
( 192.168.0.1, 239.1.1.1 )
I can't ping 239.1.1.1 though from anywhere, even the wlc's gui using the ping tool.I can do an ip igmp join on a loopback and ping from a neighbor device and get a reply.
In the monitor multicast section of the gui I can see some Layer2 MGID entries and one in the Layer3 MGID section but not for the 239.1.1.1 address.How do I verify my multicast over wireless setup is working correctly?

I am using WLC 5508 version 7.0 facing issue while enabling global multicast mode .
client machine stops DNS resolution after some time once we enable global multicast mode on WLC .websites are opening with IPs but not with DNS names .
DNS resolution starts working immediately after disabling multicast mode on wlc .

A wlan on my controller is configured for WPA2, AES encryption and a PSK. A vendor will supply me with a wireless device for this wlan. The vendor asks if we use AES 128 or AES 256. I had always believed we use AES256 but I can't verify this. How can I verify this to the vendor?

Seems that all solutions are null and void for us because we are not using SNMP v3 or H.
We are using SNMP v2, We have upgraded our WCS to latest version as well as the controllers. I have 6 controllers currently added although they are on WiSM blades.
We are unable to add the 5508 Controllers, we keep recieving this error -
No response from device, check SNMP communities, version or network for issues.
I have confirmed all connectivity is working, even with a debug on the controller you can see it sending SNMP packets to the WCS, although still same error.

I have a wireless controller 5508 and all my interfaces can be accessed via https or ssh from a wireless client. Management access from a wireless client is disabled so I don't understand why this is happening.
