Cisco AAA/Identity/Nac :: ACS 5.1 Why So Much Disk Space Required
Apr 7, 2010
We are getting ready to bring up 2 new 5.1 ACS servers to replace our ACS 4.2 configuration. The documentation says that 512GB of disk space is required for each server. This means we will need to request1 TB of disk space. The VMware folks in our group are asking why we need so much space when the 4.2 servers are only using 20 gigs including the OS.
My SCE1010 show the alert "Not enough disk space" in log.I find old discuss , someone say can delete the file: /tffs0/SYSTEM/PREVDBG.TXT , because the file is too big.But I don't confirm delete the file will not effect system work fine. [code]
i'm about to configure a syslog server to receive syslog messages from a Cisco ASA5510 and being it a one week test I was wondering how much space should I allocate on the machine hosting the tool (kiwi syslog). I see that the ASA fills the internal syslog buffer to 4MB and then it overrides it. How many messages would those 4MB be?
I'm running WCS 7.0 on a WLSE appliance. Lately WCS has produced the following alarm:WCS 150.3.101.7 does not meet the minimum hardware requirements for disk space. Available: '29'GB. Minimum requirement: '30'GB. I have old WCS versions (3, 4, 5 and 6) so could delete those but I'm wary in case I take out the data too.
One of the file servers in your office is running out of space on the D: volume. There is unallocated space available on the same disk as the D: volume, as well as on other disks. What option should you choose to reduce administrative effort and minimize the chance of volume failure?
My customer is tight on SN space, so they set up 400GB for the ACS AM. I saw a message about having less than 500GB flash by during the DVD install, but it seemed OK otherwise. When the VM boots off the HD, I get the localhost login prompt, and I type in setup, but nothing happens for about a minute, then I get the message 'INIT: ID "S0" respawning too fast: disabled for 5 minutes". After that, nothing. I've booted multiple times. Is this related to the disk space, and is it possible to install with less than 500GB?
I was asked to performe upgrade from acs 5.3 to 5.4 (vm), but i noticed that someone installed it on 80gb partition and there is 500gb as one of the requriments in upgrade and install procedure. What is strange to me is that "dir disk:" command shows such an output: 5165345067 bytes available. And under ESX i see 80gb partition. Anyway, is there any way to extend partition size to 500gb? Can I just change it under ESX? Is there any procedure to take under ACS console?
We are running ACS 4.1 on Windows 2003 server. The disk filled completely up with years of log files. We have freed up space but now none of the services will start back up either automatically or manually.
I have modified my radius accounting reports using "interactive viewer" and saved successfully but the exported report doesn't reflect these changes. I'm just wondering what's the point of being able to modify the reports if you can't export your changes or there is something I'm missing?
Does the following setting is a shipping default in the ACS 5.1?,In the Access Policies ->Network Device Admin -> Identity -> Advanced Options, the If user not found was set to “Continue” .

I use ACS 5.3.0.40.8 with TACACS+ servicing Device AAA and RADIUS servicing the Cisco Wireless environment for AD user access. How can I implement 802.1x with the current RADIUS implementation with hindering current wireless users or am I hindered due to the EAP-GTC in use with PEAP via RADIUS?
I am trying to upgrade my IOS on a 3550 switch. The switch has 15MB of space total. When I delete the current IOS it leaves only 8MB of space.I need 10MB of space for the new image.Where is this other space being taken up? [code]
we need to interconnect multiple branch office (CISCO 1841 with VWIC-1MFT-E1 ) via E1 links to the main site (CISCO 3745 with NM-8E1 IMA ). We succeeded to connect them using the same VWIC-1MFT-E1 at both sides (Branch / HQ), but I need to connect up to 10 sites in the future, so we thought that may be we can use ( NM-8E1 IMA) to make it possible and to save some space for any future upgrades. Honestly, we couldn't find any E1 related commands to configur this card (NM-8E1 IMA). Did we choosed the wrong card (NM-8E1 IMA).?

Just now router is running IOS c181x-advipservicesk9-mz.124-11.T3.bin The size of this IOS is 19 155 816, that is approximately equal to the size that allocated to something invisible.
fsck flash and format flash doesn't work. Bug Toolkit doesn't show any bugs similar to my issue.
just happened recently when im typing in threads or for websites, the second i hit the space bar two pop up ads appear making me have to close them to get back to what i was typing. These sites are annoying as you have to press leave page as well to close it. as you carry on typing the second you hit the space bar again it does another two pop-ups, which you can imaging gets annoying lol. I'm running Webroot full edition from a shop legit and would have thought it would prevent this happening? Is their anything i can do to stop this and would you like me to run a virus scan and post results?
What is the equivalent of the command "show flash" in IOS for the CSS11503 as I would like to view available flash space on the CSS11500 series load balancers?
we have an ASA5520 need upgrade new anyconnect client, but the new version is too big, so it's no enough space. I want to delete the ASDM image to free the more space. My question is when I delete the ASDM image,if I could manage the ASA from web browser?
I have a 5915 mobile router with software version 15.2(1r)GC1. Ports FE0/0 and FE0/1 are routed ports. Ports FE0/2 through FE0/4 are layer 2 switched ports. I'd like to put FE0/1 and FE0/2-4 in the same address space so that all four ports can be used as a single LAN and FE0/0 would be used as a WAN port. How do I configure the router to place FE0/1 and FE0/2-4 in the same LAN.
I just received a 1812 model unit flash memory C class.
I cannot free the space from CF; after format, I receive the same amount of space:
Cisco-1812-II#show flash: 14450688 bytes available (17489920 bytes used) Cisco-1812-II#format flash: Format operation may take a while. Continue? [confirm] Format operation will destroy all data in "flash:". Continue? [confirm]
Although it does accept it in the setup wizard, you cannot change it in the vap list later on, it will throw a popup telling you there's an invalid character.
We have a small ofice in the 3rd floor of a building and we are using 2 access points Aironet 1130 URL
Since some time now the space has become really crowded with access points. 1 AP is on channel 5 and is almost unusable. The 2nd one on channel 11 has some APs to fight with and with smaller signall strenght.
I have been researching and read a bit about changing some access point parameters (RTS/CTS/timers) on a multi access point environment. I want to do that while waiting for 5GHz AP's (and because not all clients support 5GHz).
I am using Window 7 and the WRT610N router. I got a bufflao 1 TB USB harddisk connected to the router. My PC can access to the Harddisk. However, but my pc showing the USB harddisk is full. I checked, there are less than 200GB file on the disk. why is that?
