Cisco AAA/Identity/Nac :: ACS 5.2 VM On Less Than 500GB Disk?

My customer is tight on SN space, so they set up 400GB for the ACS AM. I saw a message about having less than 500GB flash by during the DVD install, but it seemed OK otherwise. When the VM boots off the HD, I get the localhost login prompt, and I type in setup, but nothing happens for about a minute, then I get the message 'INIT: ID "S0" respawning too fast: disabled for 5 minutes". After that, nothing. I've booted multiple times. Is this related to the disk space, and is it possible to install with less than 500GB?

Why ACS5.3 requires 500GB datastore? what for? do we still need this when we use external database? am in the process of migrating from ACS4.2 to 5.3.

I was asked to performe upgrade from acs 5.3 to 5.4 (vm), but i noticed that someone installed it on 80gb partition and there is 500gb as one of the requriments in upgrade and install procedure. What is strange to me is that "dir disk:" command shows such an output: 5165345067 bytes available.And under ESX i see 80gb partition. Anyway, is there any way to extend partition size to 500gb? Can I just change it under ESX? Is there any procedure to take under ACS console?

We are running ACS 4.1 on Windows 2003 server. The disk filled completely up with years of log files. We have freed up space but now none of the services will start back up either automatically or manually.

We are getting ready to bring up 2 new 5.1 ACS servers to replace our ACS 4.2 configuration.The documentation says that 512GB of disk space is required for each server. This means we will need to request1 TB of disk space. The VMware folks in our group are asking why we need so much space when the 4.2 servers are only using 20 gigs including the OS.

I have a Western Digital 500GB external hard drive and I want to know how can I share this particular drive throughout my house?Currently, it's connected via USB on my Windows 7 Ultimate desktop computer. In the medium term, I will consider getting an wireless router that has a USB port on it - so that way, I won't need to have my Windows 7 desktop computer to be on all the time - just to share my external hard drive.I also plugged in this particular external hard drive on APC backup UPS - so that way, if the power goes out - I can safely shutdown my system - until the power goes back on.As for the wireless router, I currently have the Linksys E2500 dual-band wireless N router - to share my computers with a single internet connection via Cable TV. how do I share my external hard drive on my network. What are your other suggestions on the best way to share an external hard drive?

On a windows 2003 data server with a 2008 domain controller, I have several Terminal Servers that are setup to only allow one remote time entry program to run. Totally locked down from network / internet (Kiosk Mode). Now I need to be able to view pdf files in a directory. How can I do this without giving access to the disks that are available for the time entry program to write back. The time entry requires a mapped drive with read/write access. Every pdf viewer I have found so far gives the ability to "File Open/Save as" and thereby gives access the the shared drive. If I use an Internet Browser then I have the same problem.

if the network i'm planning on will even work so i drew a picture on my project (attached). All cables will be gigabit compatible as will be the switches. The reason i will have 2 switches is because they won't be in the same building. The uppermost switch will be physically next to the router to enable me to have gigabit connection between the DiskStation and the PCs/HTPC without having to change my router (in fact can't change it due to special firmware for my internet TV).

I just got a Landisk today, and I can't set it up for the life of me.

When I look at the drive status section, it always says "Disk not found". The light that designates HDD read/write never comes on. When I hit the format button, I get a error message that only shows for a split second. The error message says: Action Fail Error Code: Please Refer to Manual. Nothing in the manual or Google explains this error.
The instructions say that the HDD you use has to support UDMA. Does my HDD support that? It's the only thing I can think of.This is all really strange because when I first plugged the drive in, the HDD light came on and was solid. But when I formatted the drive, the space was only ~2.7GB, so I thought something was wrong, and I did a factory reset. After that, the HDD light has never come on, and the "disk not found" error persists.

but at doc it says : System image file is "disk0:c12k-os-mbi-3.6.0/mbiprp-rp.vm" i think my image has something wrong. what do you say ? actually from step 1 to 16 was going smoothly , but step 17 doesnt go ... and i jump to Flash Disk Upgrade Abort Procedure section and i rollback to old flash disk and now it is working ....
Regarding to step 17, why standby PRP is not ready , it shows no valid partner ?

Is it possible to have RAID configuration on your virtual hard disk of your virtual machine?As an example case is I have 1 PowerEdge R910 which I have installed it with Windows Server 2008 R2 Enterprise Edition and i used it's Hyper-V as the hypervisor. the HDD's of the PowerEdge are not RAIDed. I have a dlink dir-655 router and an action tec dsl modem on windows 7. I connect with ethernet to the router for my cpu and use the wireless for the rest of the house. I used to have this working flawlessly but ever since I moved I've had trouble, I also just bought this computer so I was hoping for a clean start. I set up the modem and put in the ATT p/w and user name and installed the router drivers and set it up for PPPOE with the correct passwords but it only works when I connect my cpu directly to the DSL modem. I'm really struggling to figure out what could be causing this. Does the router need to be in some sort of bridged mode or something? I didn't run the ATT setup disks on this new cpu b/c I didn't think I would need to and I don't like putting their crummy software on my cpu.
