Currently using a CSS1506 for our reverse proxy SSL.I have a couple of questions
1 - Does the 11506 use an internal disk as well as the one in slot 0 ?
2 - I have a spare mem card in slot1, how can I copy all of the required boot files etc to slot 1 in case of a card failure in slot 0?
my SAM card always reach cpu 40%, few times reach more high, even to 100%.
my show chassis gives:
1 CSS5-SCM-2GE primary
2 CSS5-SAM primany
3 CSS5-SSL-K9 primany
can I limited the VIP? I really do not think the system is heavily used. could any configuration wrong cause problem could be possible the module has problem? if so, how can I confirm? could I add another SAM module?
I have installed anm 4.3 and is trying to setup monitoring my css11506. I have added the device and on the monitoring-setting-polling status, said the polling configuration is enabled, but the polling status time out.
The css11506 snmp configure as:
snmp trap-type enterprise
snmp cmmunity xxxxx read-only
snmp name "anm v4.3"

I am planning to perform a failover drill between active and standy CSS loadbalancers which are configured in a cluster pair. I am looking for help to know what show commands I can run to validate that the failover occurred successfully from primary to secondary load balancer and that the VIP's have failed over successfuly as well.

View 1 Replies View RelatedI am looking to deploy an ACE 4710 for use in an internal and DMZ environment simultaneosly. Everything that I have been reading indicates that we can accomplish this but I wanted to post my idea of how this would work in the environment. What I want to do looks like this:
1. I need load-balancing of internal sharepoint servers. I want this to occur on a context directly connected to the internal network
2. Reverse-proxy of external traffic for OWA, Activesync and a couple of other applications. I want this to occur on a context directly connected to our DMZ.
My questions are:
1. Is there any security concerns here? I do not like the idea of using one appliance between these two environments but I have no choice because we do not have multiple devices.
2. Since the servers that I need to service with the reverse proxy functionality are internal to our network, should I translate their IP's to the DMZ and then again to the outside or should I just create a route to their real (internal) addresses on the inside interface of the firewall as well as the proper ACL's?
We have an ANM Virtual Appliance, version 5.2, were we login and can go no further. This was working for fine for approximately two and half weeks. We created a backup and re-loaded the system via CLI with the same result. We logged in again via SSH and we have noted the following:

Is there any way to access and clean out the /var directory from the CLI. is this achieved simply via the "delete" command with the full path ?
My onboard eithernet quit working so I got PCI slot 1 and it doesnt work either I have 3 slots and none work. The pc won't even acknowledge that they are pluged in, but the lights on the card are flashing. Had it working once but when I moved it to my desk and booted it up nothing worked again. The PC will boot and run fine but no web. Clean install of XP and all is the same!

View 1 Replies View RelatedI'm trying to learn a little about Cisco router setup, since I'm fairly well versed in configuration. I have an 1841 w/ K9 that I'd like to set up as a WAN Router to hot swap if one of ours goes down. I installed a VWIC2-1MFT-T1/E1 MultiFlex card in Slot 1 of the router.
Currently, if I run a "show diag", the VWIC2-1MFT-T1/E1 shows up in Slot 1 but in the configuration I can't see it or configure it. Am I missing an enable or something? I thought I had to declare card type but I can only do that on the existing card, the router doesn't seem to recognize that the card is there in any place other than "show diag".
we are trying to use the SD Card Slot on an Cisco ME3600X (ME-3600X-24FS-M) IOS Version 15.2(4)S2. If i try to copy a file from the sd card slot to the flash there is no Option like "slot0:" or something alse and no syslog message appers while adding the SD Card.

View 2 Replies View RelatedJust finished my first build and everything went pretty smoothly but my wireless network card wasn't working. I noticed after I opened it back up that in order for my to screw the card in place it made the right side of the card tilt up.
So I just set it in the PCI slot correctly but there's no way for me to screw the card in place. I know my MOBO is set properly. My graphics card fits perfectly.

Is it possible to connect directional antenna on slot 1 5Ghz radio on the 1522SB and use it for client access ? As per the deployment guide there is a note that Omni antenna is required on slot1. If i connect directional antenna on slot 1(how will the AP know if its omni or dierctional antenna which is connected anyway) , will it work ?

Is there any way to make standby Sup to ACTIVE without reloading any of the Supervisor. however there is two way as per my understanding -

My customer is tight on SN space, so they set up 400GB for the ACS AM. I saw a message about having less than 500GB flash by during the DVD install, but it seemed OK otherwise. When the VM boots off the HD, I get the localhost login prompt, and I type in setup, but nothing happens for about a minute, then I get the message 'INIT: ID "S0" respawning too fast: disabled for 5 minutes". After that, nothing. I've booted multiple times. Is this related to the disk space, and is it possible to install with less than 500GB?

Totally locked down from network / internet (Kiosk Mode). Now I need to be able to view pdf files in a directory. How can I do this without giving access to the disks that are available for the time entry program to write back. The time entry requires a mapped drive with read/write access. Every pdf viewer I have found so far gives the ability to "File Open/Save as" and thereby gives access the the shared drive. If I use an Internet Browser then I have the same problem.

View 8 Replies View RelatedI was asked to performe upgrade from acs 5.3 to 5.4 (vm), but i noticed that someone installed it on 80gb partition and there is 500gb as one of the requriments in upgrade and install procedure. What is strange to me is that "dir disk:" command shows such an output: 5165345067 bytes available.And under ESX i see 80gb partition. Anyway, is there any way to extend partition size to 500gb? Can I just change it under ESX? Is there any procedure to take under ACS console?
