I remember there is one command which can tell you which memory slot has how much big memory in Cisco 2800 or 3800. But at this moment, I just couldn't recall this command. I checked "show diag" but didn't see any information about memory.

I am on a call right now troubleshooting some latency issue. The CPU usage on the sup card is low. Don't see any drops or input errors. I am aware that the switch and its modules have capability limits. Is there command I can run which will tell me if any module is overloaded or if the fabric/backplane is over utilized?My chassis is WS-C6513 and sup card is WS-SUP720-3B.

I have a question about ACLs on Cisco 3800 router. I tried to configure extended IP access-list. However, I couldn't add more rules into some of the ACLs when the number of rules increase to about 120 rules. These extended IP access-lists are assigned to gigabit ethernet interface and sub-interface (VLAN interface).
Is this caused by some kind of maximum number of rules supported?
I have cisco 4510R L3 switch with installed 2 Sup on slot 5 and 6. the current active Sup is in Slot5 i want to make active Sup6 in slot 6 which is currently standby sup in chassis. Is there any way to make standby Sup to ACTIVE without reloading any of the Supervisor. however there is two way as per my understanding -
1. we can reload the active Sup so that standby Sup will take charge. - (redundancy reload shelf)
2. we can focefully switchover the state of Sup's by (redundancy forcefully swithover) but in above both cases reload will be performed by one of the supervisor. which i don't want.

I installed two diiferent PCI adapter cards in my one available PCI slot -- an older D-Link (11b) and a brand new Netgear (11g) (which Dell Sales assured me is compatible). Both cards detected my Netgear wireless router and provided an excellent internet connection, so I'm assuming they were seated properly. The problem is that every time I shut down the system I get the blue screen of death with the following message:
-Hardware Malfunction
-NMI: Parity Check/Memory Parity Error
-The System has halted

have 3 Catalyst 3750 in same stack, the IOS version is 12.2(53)SE2. Today we can not telnet/ssh to this switch, but ping is ok, and switch function is ok. I upgraded the ios from cat4500-ipbasek9-mz.122-37.SG1.bin (12.8MB Size) to cat4500-entservices-mz.122-37.SG1.bin (13.8 MB SIZE) and deleted the previous IOS.But previous IOS is still getting shown in sh bootflash: command. View 1 Replies View RelatedCisco... Have two new 3750X switches (24P-L, and 48PF) trying to stack. Brought them up together a few weeks ago with the 24P using LANBase and the 48 IPBase. The expected happened. They saw each other in the stack ring, and the 24 port was excluded due to license miss match. This was corrected. Now both are IPBase.Now I have the two switches stacked, and boot the 48 and 24 at the same time. Monitoring the 48 I get a check message "FIPS: Flash key check: End, Not found. FIPS: Stacking Not Found". The 48 does confirm the stack cable is connected. This happens early in the boot process, before master election.OK.... Now looking at the 24 Port. After applying the new license, and actually booting successfully and few times. It will no longer load the boot file. Wants an environment variable. Going to have to dig into ancient history for that. Had to deal with that one about 8 years ago. Do not feel that is part of the stack disable issue though.
