I am trying to upgrade a router 2811, the flash has 64 mb and currently has a IOS 32 mb, but require update it with a IOS 37 mb.
What should I do?, I cannot have the two ios in the flash.
I want to upgrade IOS on 1811 from 12.4(11)T3 to 12.4(15)T16.
As a standard CF size in the 1811 is 32 M, so I have to free some space.
Here the strange things starts.
dir issued on the router shows thet ther is no image on the flash!

The other strange thing is that some space is allocated for something!
(flash size) 3194060 - 12771328 (free) = 19169280 (space allocated to ???)
Just now router is running IOS c181x-advipservicesk9-mz.124-11.T3.bin The size of this IOS is 19 155 816, that is approximately equal to the size that allocated to something invisible.
fsck flash and format flash doesn't work. Bug Toolkit doesn't show any bugs similar to my issue.
What is the equivalent of the command "show flash" in IOS for the CSS11503 as I would like to view available flash space on the CSS11500 series load balancers?

have remote routers boot and load a config from the flash card. It seems this is possible if the Flash Class is A, according to the Cisco web site using the
boot config flash:<Config file>
where <Config file> is the file on the flash.
Although this can be applied on 2811 routers, they fail to load the file on the flash card. I've since found that this router type has a Class C flash. So the question is, can either:

The router flash be set as a Class A to support this functionality,
The preferred resolution for this would be the first as there are many remote routers installed a diverse and difficult locations to visit, should a format/rebuild of the flash fail for some reason.
don't ask to list the output of a show boot or show bootvar, neither of these commands work. The Startup/Running config lists the boot config line.
I need to upgrade the IOS and therefore change the flashcard on a router 2811.
What is the procedure to change the flash (64MB to 256MB) on a 2811 router?
I can remove the flashcard when the router has already started, change the flashcard and load the new IOS?
I'm having an issue with a Cisco 2811 ISR Router. Sh ver command output lists the correct ios that the router used for booting and it says that the ios is stored in flash but when i give "sh flash" command it doesn't display the ios file. Maybe the flash is corrupted or damaged in some way? In the attached file is the output from the "sh ver" and "sh flash" commands.

View 2 Replies View Relatedjust happened recently when im typing in threads or for websites, the second i hit the space bar two pop up ads appear making me have to close them to get back to what i was typing. These sites are annoying as you have to press leave page as well to close it. as you carry on typing the second you hit the space bar again it does another two pop-ups, which you can imaging gets annoying lol. I'm running Webroot full edition from a shop legit and would have thought it would prevent this happening? Is their anything i can do to stop this and would you like me to run a virus scan and post results?

Since some time now the space has become really crowded with access points. 1 AP is on channel 5 and is almost unusable. The 2nd one on channel 11 has some APs to fight with and with smaller signall strenght.
I have been researching and read a bit about changing some access point parameters (RTS/CTS/timers) on a multi access point environment. I want to do that while waiting for 5GHz AP's (and because not all clients support 5GHz).
I have a cisco 2821 router configured as a CME version 7.1. Now I want to upgrade the IOS to version 15 to get a CME version 8.6 but I faced a problem that the flash of the 2821 is 64MB and the IOS version 15 required flash 128MB. I tried to replace this flash with another 128MB installed on Cisco 2811 router but when I installed the 128MB flash on the 2821 CME the 2821 didn't boot from it.
