I need to upgrade the IOS and therefore change the flashcard on a router 2811.
What is the procedure to change the flash (64MB to 256MB) on a 2811 router?
I can remove the flashcard when the router has already started, change the flashcard and load the new IOS?
I want to upgrade my DRAM of 256MB to 512MB to support 15.1 IOS image.Can I buy Cisco approved DRAM from third party Like [URL]

Sh ver command output lists the correct ios that the router used for booting and it says that the ios is stored in flash but when i give "sh flash" command it doesn't display the ios file. Maybe the flash is corrupted or damaged in some way? In the attached file is the output from the "sh ver" and "sh flash" commands.

What is the difference between user and system compact flash? and for upgrade can I just insert the user compact flash or do I need to upgrade the system compact flash? Where can I find the part number for each type?

The ATA flash card was formated successfully, however I cannot copy the system image to it so that it can boot after a power loss.
The command I tried was: console(enabled) copy sup-bootflash: slot0:
The source filename was typed in as shown in the Show Verison command.The result was: Error opening slot0: no such device.I suspect that I am missing something obvious as I am new to Cisco Switches.

our company is going to change its´ ISP. The External Isp are going to obviously change too. We have an Active/Standby Firewall and we would like to make the change with at least connectivity downfall as possible. In our configuration we have nearly all features configured as in a normal Productive Firwall such as , NAT, Site-to Site VPN, Remote Access Webvpn, ACLs and also routing. I have looked up some information in this community and still I am not sure about the steps to be made so to reach our goal.
I have read that changing only the "names" from the old IP Range to the new Ip range would not really make the change. The old Ip range will still be configured in the features using the external Ip address. Therefore we have to first delete all the information (in the running config) connected to these Variables and then re insert them. My biggest worry is that this could be a little bit tricky during the implementation, if some config lines or objects could be left out during the deleting and inserting procedure.
How we could make this change with a low percentage of "copy and paste failures"? I was thinking about in changing the "names" to their new Ips and then afterwards reload the ASA. Will this workout? Primary ASA will be changed first with the secondary shutdown. ASA Firmware 8.2.2 (12).

I read that there are internal and external flash memory in 3725 router that can max up to 128mb. So adding the sizes of internal and external flash memory, will that total to 256mb?
And also is the internal flash of 3725 just the same with its external flash?
We need to change the Channel-group settings in 3750 switch from Mode ON to Mode Active. We have tried once by removing the physical interfaces from the port-channel group but we lost the connectivity to the secondary switch. On VLAN one I have an IP address of 10.8.1.1 and on VLAN 531 I have an IP Address of 172.16.1.1, now what I can do is this... I can.. from a workstation on the 10.8.0.0 segment, ping 172.16.1.1 and one server on that segment that has an IP address of 172.16.1.50, which is fine, but what I really want to be able to do is ping our email server which is on a 10.21.0.0 segment and I cannot. Any commands on what I would need to do to make this work as I would like the 172.16.0.0 segment to ping any other part of my LAN of my choosing.

I have a switch 2960 with 15 multicast groups (for video) and now I am configuring a router 2811 to send two multicast groups to another network.But despite of there is no client sending join yet, the router is joinning in all multicast group, and because of that the router are not standing all the traffic. why the router is joinning in all multicast groups?How could I choose what groups router will join?

I upgraded a 2811 router to the latest version and apparently everything went smooth. I reloaded and did a sh ver the IOS show the correct version, but the boot strap shows the old IOS. How can I change the boot strap to show the new IOS.

Along with that we have two Catalyst 5509. We are upgrading the access layer by replacing catalyst switches with Nexus 5548 & 2248.
For a purpose of testing I have connected 5548 & 2248. Created cPC and ether channels between two. SVI and HSRP configuredon 5548. I am terminating 2651 (test router) on 2248 port 101/1/1. On 5548 I have enabled EIGRP on vlans. I am unable to ping to 2651 from nexus switch 5548 and vice-versa. I can see both devices on CDP but I do not see eigrp neighborship formed.
What configuration should go in 2248 and 2651 in order to establish a connection between two? If test is successful then I will connect 2811 to 2248 during actual migration. I assume that in testing if it works for 2651 then it must work on 2811 router.
