May 14, 2013This feature is not working on our LMS installation. I have tried different browsers but is always giving the same error. It seems to be Java related.

May 13, 2012I am having LMS 4.0 Software and taking the Inventory with it, but there is somewhat a strange problem .I CAN SEE THE LMS DISCOVERING MY DEVICES IN NETWORK BUT DOES NOT SHOW IN THE DEVICES LIST(where we see all the devices)

Nov 27, 2012I have an EA4500 and am using Cisco Connect Cloud software. Its working mostly fine except that I have one device on the network that will not show up in the device list. This is not an issue in itself and normally I would ignore (although it used to show up when I forst got the router) however..
The device is a WDTVLive media unit and required access to windows shares on a media server. Now the WDTVLive device is server an ip address by the router and is available from everywhere on my network but every couple of days it loses the capacity to search windows shares.
I know what you are thinking and I initially thought the same, this is an issue with the WDTVLive box. However one day I spent a few hours trying to resolve (Am an IT Consultant and know a little about networks) and found that I could not fix the issue. I then rebooted the router and it started working. I have since confirmed that every time it breaks I have to reboot the router.

Apr 26, 2011I just got a DIR-655 and set it all up pretty easily. I have 6 wired and 3 wireless. All work fine and all are set to use DHCP. But if I go (in the router) to the Lan Computers list under Device Info, three devices (2 wired, 1 wireless) do not appear. I do have a switch added to the system, but of the three devices connected to it, 1 shows in th Lan Computers list and the other 2 do not.Since everything works, I'm mostly just curious why this is. Every previous router I've had showed everything correctly.

Oct 19, 2012I'm trying to limit my kids' access to the internet during the night, since I caught them plugging their laptops and the Xbox into the router's Ethernet ports late at night so they could circumvent the wireless guest access. The problem is, I only have 5 available control slots and the list of devices I browse to choose from is vague at best. Half of the devices listed in parental controls say "Network Device" and the other half say "iPhone" or "iPad". Isn't there an easy way to choose the correct devices to restrict, like by IP or MAC address? And if not, why is this so confusing and difficult? I have a family of 10 in my house and everyone is connecting with their own phn or 3 iPads, 2 laptops, 2 desktop PCs, 1 Xbox and 1 PS3.I tried limiting the DHCP Reservation list, but that seems to only affect the wireless access, not the 4 ethernet port connections.

Feb 19, 2013Since a couple of weeks I have a linksys EA6500. When I go to the device list to see which devices are online the device list is not displayig the correct data. I see devices online that are offline and also devices are offline that are at the moment online. When I try to delete a device that is offline in the list I get error 2315. I have that error in the local and cloud interface. The list has a frozen state from a particular moment.
When I reboot the router then all devices in the list have status offline and the device list stays that way. Nothing gets online anymore or will be added. When I reset the router to factory default all keeps working without problems for approximately 24 hours and after that the problem occurs again. The list freezes again and you are not able to delete a device.
I searched the forums but no one has this problem. I only can find a post that describes my problem but for them a reset worked. In my case a factory reset works also but the problem keeps coming back.

Dec 18, 2012I have the Linksys EA6500 with the latest firmware and have a question regarding the device list connection status.Currently, I am seeing devices in the list that have a connection status of live, but they are not even within my home network. What is the update/cycle time for the device list actually checking connection status of a device?In my situation, it has been 3 days (72 hours) since the two device showing as connected have not been connected to my home network/router. Noticed that this inaccurate connection status for these devices is also contributing to the Device Monitr app not showing correct device connection status info.
Would like to have real-time device connection status if possible. This device list is great way to know when device get connected or disconnected which let me know when my kids get home from school or using game console when should be doing homework.

Feb 27, 2013The smart wi-fi app Device List indicates Local Network = 0 (that's incorrect) and Guest Network = 0 (that's correct). When i click Connected Devices for My Network, i see a list of devices but everything indicates 'Offline' and that of course is incorrect.How can i upgrade this software? I recently installed EA6500 and due to being slow, it was recommended to set back to factory default. That process did no go well, so i hope it is not necessary again. This router is not any better then the wrt320N so i am disappointed.

Feb 16, 2013I recently upgraded my Wi-Fi router to an EA3500 and am controlling it using Smart Wi-Fi running on a wired Windows 7 machine.So far, I have been able to add devices to the network without issue and each of those connections works fine. All, except my TV, have been Windows 7 based machines. Smart Wi-Fi Device List has been able to "see" each device and I have been able to add them to that list as well.
I am attempting to add a Windows 8 desktop computer to the network which is using a external USB wireless adapter. That computer can see and connect to the network through the EA3500 and the connection seems to work fine. The only issue is that its adapter does not show up in the Device List.
1) Does the Device List do anything else besides showing a list of devices I chosen to add to my network?
2) How do I get my Windows 8 wireless adapter to show up in the Device List?
Cisco :: WCS 7.0.240.0 Data Export To Prime 1.2.1.012?
Apr 18, 2013I'm trying to migrate old data from WCS 7.0 to Prime 1.2 ... I have already created the zip file from WCS and imported it into the defaultRepo on Prime. I see it in the directory when I do a show repository defaultRepo so I have confirmed that it is there. My issue is that it appears Prime 1.2.1.012 won't accept the cli command of ncs migrate.
how I can proceed with the migration? I haven't been able to find any similar command in the Prime CLI so at this point I'm lost as to where I should go from here. I really don't want to have to tell the customer they have to downgrade to Prime 1.1 in order for them to perserve their maps especially since the Deployment Guide for Prime Infrastructure states that it is possible to migrate date from WCS 7.0 to Prime 1.2 as shown below ...

Apr 1, 2013I installed a chained SSL cert on our anchor/guest 4402 a few years ago.We now have a need to replace the 4402 w/ a 5508, and I got everything configured, ready to go, except that darn cert.I can no longer locate the private key that was used to sign the original CSR.Is there any way to export the current cert from the 4402, so that I can import to the 5508? Or am I SOL?

Apr 14, 2013I have done a WCS 7.0.220.0 to NCS migration prior to moving to Prime 1.2. I followed the instructions to export the WCS database via the export.bat all command and exported the database. However, when I import this zip fileto NCS there do not seem to be any of the original WCS templates. All the maps and AP details have migrated but no templates.
I have tried the export again and ploughed through the resultant zip file looking for anything that looks like template files but there is nothing immediately apparent that looks like templates.

Oct 2, 2011Got an problem with LMS 3.2/Solaris.
See no devices both in DCR and RME, besides, in RME device counters (Normal/Pending/etc) are equal to current device count, but then you try to select them for any operation, you unsucceed - 0 device selected, no list of devices, unable to export, no ability to do anything.
Upgraded to 3.2 SP1, no change. Spend a lot of time digging through logs at /usr/adm/CSCOpx/logs, find no problems at all. Seems, that some database parts were corrupted.
I decided to reinstall LMS from the scratch, but to do so I need to export the DCR device data and credentials.
Database is alive (dbaccess.pl install going smoothly, then connection with user lmsdatafeed works and allows to connect and select data from any SQL tool), but this view is not enough for getting from the DCR both device data and credentials.
I have the DB password I set up during installation.
Is there any way to get data I need connecting to LMS database directly with some kind of sysdba SQL database user?

May 10, 2011I am trying to export our network devices from ACS and I can't find out where it is exporting it. Under ACS 5.2 "Network ResourcesNetwork Devices and AAA Clients" you get the list of your network devices and at the bottom of the page there is an export button. When you click it you are given an option to password protect it which I didn't check the box and I pressed Start Export. The window flickers like it processed the request, but nothing happens. There isn't any pop-up to download the CSV. I have also tried setting up a software repo thinking it might just send it to that, but it didn't work either.

I use the following config to export traffic from the adsl card to a fasterthernet port so I can look at the adsl traffic in wireshark on a pc:router(config)#ip traffic-export profile my_rite router(conf-rite)#int FastEthernet 0/0 router(conf-rite)#bidirectional router(conf-rite)#mac-address abcd.efgh.ijkl (mac address of PC) router(conf-rite)#exit router(config)#int dialer0 router(config-if)#ip traffic-export apply my_rite this config works and I can see stuff going on in wireshark but it's only one way. This config only shows traffic going out from my adsl card, but no incoming. There is defintely traffic going both ways because everything about my adsl connection is working perfectly. I've tried using a different fastethernet port, even tried exporting to a different pc but all I see is outgoing ie: source is my public ip address but never as destination . I have bidirectional in the config but it still only shows outgoing. I even tried a different IOS (c2600-adventerprisek9-mz.124-15.T8.bin) but still it doesn't show incoming traffic. Could it be my ISP in some way hiding incoming traffic from view?

Extracting the "tar" file from the Cisco site and looking in the /html/level/15/ directory in both the tar and flash shows files missing that I'd expect to exist ( frameHome.html , navHome.html etc ).

Jan 26, 2012When I attempt to export the certificate for the quickvpn client via the router web interface, it looks as if the export works, and it asks me to save the zip file. However, upon opening the zip file I receive the error: The compressed folder is invalid or corrupted.
This happens in multiple browsers, from multiple machines.
