I am having LMS 4.0 Software and taking the Inventory with it, but there is somewhat a strange problem .I CAN SEE THE LMS DISCOVERING MY DEVICES IN NETWORK BUT DOES NOT SHOW IN THE DEVICES LIST(where we see all the devices)

View 2 Replies View RelatedI created some acess-lists, and you can assign a logging level to this access-list. Now this ACL has a lot of hits, so i want to see whats happening. Only the log I then see is completely empty. I cannot figure out how to get some info in that log.
I think there is some global logging setting i probably need to enable in order to get anything logged at all, but i cannot figure out which.

Before my TL-WR702N was working fine as a reperter. After sometime it doesn't work any more, so I try to reset it again but now I couldn't see my SSID after I press the survey buttom in the quick setup - wireless repater page.
I'm having big problems with my Linksys WAG320N. I'm pretty clueless when it comes to networking.Without changing any of the settings, the other day my Macbook Pro couldn't connect and it kept saying 'Connection timeout'. From that point my iPhone also refused to connect, although accessing the internet on my MBP via Ethernet was fine.
I did a hard reset following instructions from this forum then re-configured with the installation CD. The wireless LED on the router was lit but my MBP couldn't see the network. Eventually I managed to connect after rebooting my laptop, and enjoyed all of 10 minutes of problem-free of wireless internet connectivity before the network just dropped out and now doesn't show up in my list of networks again, although the wireless LED is still on. Connecting via Ethernet still works, just not via wireless.I've rebooted my laptop and the router and tried switching channels on the router, all to no avail.
This feature is not working on our LMS installation. I have tried different browsers but is always giving the same error. It seems to be Java related.

View 1 Replies View RelatedI have an EA4500 and am using Cisco Connect Cloud software. Its working mostly fine except that I have one device on the network that will not show up in the device list. This is not an issue in itself and normally I would ignore (although it used to show up when I forst got the router) however..
The device is a WDTVLive media unit and required access to windows shares on a media server. Now the WDTVLive device is server an ip address by the router and is available from everywhere on my network but every couple of days it loses the capacity to search windows shares.
I know what you are thinking and I initially thought the same, this is an issue with the WDTVLive box. However one day I spent a few hours trying to resolve (Am an IT Consultant and know a little about networks) and found that I could not fix the issue. I then rebooted the router and it started working. I have since confirmed that every time it breaks I have to reboot the router.
I have a cisco EA2700. How to clear the connected devices list?I want to use the parental controls, but when I look at the list it shows every device that was ever connected to my wireless.
View 2 Replies View RelatedI just got a DIR-655 and set it all up pretty easily. I have 6 wired and 3 wireless. All work fine and all are set to use DHCP. But if I go (in the router) to the Lan Computers list under Device Info, three devices (2 wired, 1 wireless) do not appear. I do have a switch added to the system, but of the three devices connected to it, 1 shows in th Lan Computers list and the other 2 do not.Since everything works, I'm mostly just curious why this is. Every previous router I've had showed everything correctly.

I put Win7 on a customed pc bought online. The motherboard has an Atheros L1 integrated NIC and I installed a Dlink dge530t NIC into a PCI slot. I know I have to disable the onboard nic but the installed card is not comming up either in Device manager or network connections. What gives? In the bios under integrated peripherals i did enable PnP OS.

Sometimes I cannot connect to internet due to "unidentified network" buy i can resolve this problem by restarting my modem + switch.
I'm trying to limit my kids' access to the internet during the night, since I caught them plugging their laptops and the Xbox into the router's Ethernet ports late at night so they could circumvent the wireless guest access. The problem is, I only have 5 available control slots and the list of devices I browse to choose from is vague at best. Half of the devices listed in parental controls say "Network Device" and the other half say "iPhone" or "iPad". Isn't there an easy way to choose the correct devices to restrict, like by IP or MAC address? And if not, why is this so confusing and difficult? I have a family of 10 in my house and everyone is connecting with their own phn or 3 iPads, 2 laptops, 2 desktop PCs, 1 Xbox and 1 PS3.I tried limiting the DHCP Reservation list, but that seems to only affect the wireless access, not the 4 ethernet port connections.
View 3 Replies View RelatedSince a couple of weeks I have a linksys EA6500. When I go to the device list to see which devices are online the device list is not displayig the correct data. I see devices online that are offline and also devices are offline that are at the moment online. When I try to delete a device that is offline in the list I get error 2315. I have that error in the local and cloud interface. The list has a frozen state from a particular moment.
When I reboot the router then all devices in the list have status offline and the device list stays that way. Nothing gets online anymore or will be added. When I reset the router to factory default all keeps working without problems for approximately 24 hours and after that the problem occurs again. The list freezes again and you are not able to delete a device.
I searched the forums but no one has this problem. I only can find a post that describes my problem but for them a reset worked. In my case a factory reset works also but the problem keeps coming back.
I have the Linksys EA6500 with the latest firmware and have a question regarding the device list connection status.Currently, I am seeing devices in the list that have a connection status of live, but they are not even within my home network. What is the update/cycle time for the device list actually checking connection status of a device?In my situation, it has been 3 days (72 hours) since the two device showing as connected have not been connected to my home network/router. Noticed that this inaccurate connection status for these devices is also contributing to the Device Monitr app not showing correct device connection status info.
Would like to have real-time device connection status if possible. This device list is great way to know when device get connected or disconnected which let me know when my kids get home from school or using game console when should be doing homework.
I'm typing this on my Droid X so pardon the typos. I don't really know where to start or what direction to take so I'll list my major problem, then all the facts/info/and actions I've taken to attempt to fix the problem.Problem - I can not connect to the internet and no network adapter shows up under device manager I have an Asus 5671 running windows 7. I purchased the unit about a year ago.It's outside of the manufacturers warranty. Power went out about a week and a half ago and I believe this has something to do with the cause of the problem. I have repeatedly spoken to ASUS about this downloaded the network drivers from their site. When I install them I receive no error message saying they were installed incorrectly or failed to install, but my network adapter still does not show up. I have recovered my computer to factory settings and the problem has not gone away.
While attempting to recover my computer to factory settings, I found out it didn't already come with a recovery disk set up, so I followed the prompts to make a recovery disk (after all this trouble was already happening), so I wonder if creating a recovery disk was pointless since the network issue was already present. I have my router hard lined to my computer, and it's wireless on. The wireless works with my PS3. My computer itself is not wireless. Asus first said the problem was 100% digital, now say it's a hardware problem. I was told I will have to buy a new motherboard to fix the issue.
The smart wi-fi app Device List indicates Local Network = 0 (that's incorrect) and Guest Network = 0 (that's correct). When i click Connected Devices for My Network, i see a list of devices but everything indicates 'Offline' and that of course is incorrect.How can i upgrade this software? I recently installed EA6500 and due to being slow, it was recommended to set back to factory default. That process did no go well, so i hope it is not necessary again. This router is not any better then the wrt320N so i am disappointed.

View 3 Replies View RelatedI recently upgraded my Wi-Fi router to an EA3500 and am controlling it using Smart Wi-Fi running on a wired Windows 7 machine.So far, I have been able to add devices to the network without issue and each of those connections works fine. All, except my TV, have been Windows 7 based machines. Smart Wi-Fi Device List has been able to "see" each device and I have been able to add them to that list as well.
I am attempting to add a Windows 8 desktop computer to the network which is using a external USB wireless adapter. That computer can see and connect to the network through the EA3500 and the connection seems to work fine. The only issue is that its adapter does not show up in the Device List.
1) Does the Device List do anything else besides showing a list of devices I chosen to add to my network?
2) How do I get my Windows 8 wireless adapter to show up in the Device List?
I did a clean install of windows 8 and my tooth application or drivers do not show up in device manager dell xps studio 7100.

View 2 Replies View RelatedI have configured a vlan interface on a 3750 switch. there is aprox 4Mb active traffic flowing through the interface, but when I do a "show interface vlan (vlanid)" the output show zero bits in and zero bits out. Its a typical L3 config with one IP on the vllan interface acting as the gateway for the VLAN devices. Is this a normal behaviur ? and if so is there any way to get the traffic in/out stats. The end PC/devices are connected to this switch via an L2 TRUNK and I dont have access to the L2 switch on which the actual devices connect. so cant get the real time stats of those interfaces.

These devices are discovered, reachable, SNMP works fine, neighbors seen. But when we try to launch acquisition, the UT utility complains with this error message:"Failed to start acquisition: Device unreachable. Please enter a valid device."When we wanted to add ports via Device Trap Configuration, LMS has fired a different error message: "There are no ports to configure for the selected device(s).Check whether you have selected any router(s)." View 3 Replies View RelatedMy BEFSR81 is my primary router and has DHCP turned on. The router's DHCP range is set to accommodate 12 devices. I have three computers wired to it and their Host names (as specified in the set-up of each computer) show up in the router's DHCP device table. I also have two printers (one old Brother HL5250DN laser printer and one new HP Photosmart Premier C410a inkjet printer) connected and there are blanks where the Host name should go. I would like to be able to tell which printer is which when I am looking at the DHCP device table. How can I get a names associated with each printer's IP address in the router's DHCP device table? (The real problem is that the router seems to have both printers at the same IP address (192.168.1.100) and if I can get one of them to change I'd like to know which one it was!)
