I'm installing a new pack of signature on my IOS Firewall. This is what I'm doing
1.- Upload the .pak file on the flash memory.
2.- Install the package with the command copy flash:IPS/IOS-S636-CLI.pkg idconf but when the insallation finish it doesn't bring any error but when I enter the command sh ip ips sig it says S0.0
I have a pix 515, time to time the firewall start rebooting with invalid flash error I found erasedisk.bin in internet, after that i cant load pix532.bin ios file and others pix***.bin are not workingThe only file i am able to load is pix508.bin it,s start asking me activatin number before install I have a previous activation number ios version 5.3.2 but this number is not correct.

Where I can get the most recent install file for the ASDM-IDM Launcher software? I'm currenly running 1.5(41). Somebody mentioned they are at least up to 1.5(50), but he couldn't remember where the install file was. I checked Cisco's software download site, but nothing came up for the Launcher.

On a previous discussion I was given a link for the 4.2.205.0 ER.aes boot file for the 4404 controller. When I went to the 4402 controller software and clicked on the boot file 4.2.205.0 ER.aes, the file doesn't have the ER distinction. I was wondering if this is not really the ER.aes or is it just a typo in the file name?
View 6 Replies View RelatedI can't install or extract any file or archive downloaded through shared connection from the 1st PC via a LAN ... tried new LAN and tried switch the LANs but doesn't work always a CRC error when extract an archive or file corrupted when install anything downloaded:this is what I tried so far
-tried download and extract on a 2nd installed windows (I have dual boot) and its same CRC error
-tried another non built-in LAN card pci-E x1 and its the same CRC error
-tried restore bios to default and its same CRC error
-tried putting a laptop on the same line instead of my PC and it works no errors no problems
My 1140 doesn't write to the config.txt file. I'm not sure why. I have three of these access points that we changed the firmware to make them autonomous. The other two worked fine.

View 1 Replies View RelatedWe are using the newest release of AD Agent (1.0.0.32.1, built 598). The ASA Firewalls 5520 are having the software release 8.4(3)8 installed.When somebody tries to connect thru the Identity based firewalls from a citrix published desktop environment (PDI) the connection is not possible. Checking the ip-of-user mapping on the firewalls (show user-identity ip-of-user USERNAME) mostly doesn't show the mapping of the USERNAME and the PDI the user is logged in. The user-of-ip mapping of the PDIs IP-address shows mostly other users, which then are used to authenticate the acces thru the firewalls.
What is interesting, that on the AD Agent using "adacfg.exe cache list | find /i "USERNAME"" i can't see the PDIs IP-address neither because it is mapped to another user.Is Citrix Published Desktop environment supported to connect thru Identity based Firewalls? How AD Agent, Domain Controllers and Firewalls are working together? On the firewalls with "show user-identity ad-agent we see, the following:
-Authentication Port: udp/1645
-Accounting Port: udp/1646
-ASA Listening Port: udp/3799
Why Cisco does use 1645 and 1646 and not 1812 and 1813?The Listening Port is used for what purpose? we tried the AD Agent modes full- download and on-demand with the same effect.
I want to kown if is posible install IOS 8.3(2) and asdm 6.3(1) in firewall 5505 wich has 512MB of RAM and 128MB of flash. I installed it but according to the cisco page it can´t. maybe could work bad ?

In case, the client bypasses firewall, the file gets downloaded as usuall. Interesting thing here to note is that when client is behind the firewall, its takes a long time to download the file and the file size always 312 Bytes, of course its a corrupt file.

I want to be able to share drives and printers between subnets, yet even when I place a permit ip any any rule in both firewall policies, it doesnt work. It works fine between the two machines in question when they are on the same subnet, yet when they are on differing subnets, no joy.
Apart from access through the firewall, is there anything else required to make this file and print traffic pass the firewall?To my mind, it is ports 445, 137, 138, 139 that are required.

Trying to go back to ASDM, it won't let me get back in, and when i try show asdm image, it says Device Manager image file not set. I have no CD for this device and I need that image file for the ASDM. How can I locate the file and install it on the router so I can use it?

So I can copy a file off the server and onto my local machine. I make my edits and then try to upload it to the server. I get locked out with the message: Error 0x80070021: The process cannot access the file because another process has locked a portion of the file. I have tried shutting down my code editor, opening and closing the connection, tried different methods of reaching the server (Cyberduck and through Window's map network feature) to no avail. The card doesn't boot properly, it tries to boot, but after a while the 6500 puts it in shutdown.
I've noticed that it has 2 RJ45 ports in the board, I've plugged my console cable, but i only get characters with the default serial configuration.
Any information about the port configurations? Is the port "PC Console" the correct one?
I've got an ASA 5510 running 8.4.I have a host on an inside interface, with a static NAT configured on the ASA. The inbound/return half of the NAT doesn't appear to be working. [code] I run a ping from the host (192.168.100.98) to something on the outside (1.2.3.4)Running captures, I can see the outbound ping leaving, having been NATed OK. I can see the reply coming back in to the outside interface with the correct IP address, but I never get the final NATed packet appear on the inside interface. The packet just disappears inside the ASA.

View 1 Replies View RelatedI have been getting overrun errors on 3 different ASA 5550 HA pairs with traffic rates less than 100Mbps total. I was told by one TAC guy to split the traffic between the two slots so that traffic comes in one and exits the other to maximize throughput because the 5550 was designed to work that way. Another TAC guy told me to enable ethernet flow control to alleviate the overrun errors because the traffic was bursty, but this doesn't seem to address the root cause of the problem to either. TCP traffic is bursty by nature and has it own flow control mechanism. I can't seem to find any detailed info on why traffic needs to be split for 100Mbps when the marketting throughput number is 1.2G. Is this a design flaw or limitation? Is there a way to alleviate overrun errors?
