My 1140 doesn't write to the config.txt file. I'm not sure why. I have three of these access points that we changed the firmware to make them autonomous. The other two worked fine.

If i connected the latop to brand new out of the box ASA 5505 through consloe cable and i have a config file on this laptop from other ASA5505, is there anyway i can upload that config file into startup-config of this new ASA5505 through console cable, without using TFTP or FTP?

It's currently running Ubuntu Server and I'm using Samba to share files on my network.
The server currently has a 2TB WD Green drive in it connected to a Asus M5A78L-M
This is then connected via CAT6a to my new Gigabit switch (TP-Link TL-SG1005D).
My home desktop is then also connected to this switch and again also through CAT6a cable.
Currently when transfering files I will get a perfect 100MB/s read from the server to my Windows machine. When copying from my Windows machine to the server I get around 30/38MB/s.
I know this drive is capable is faster speeds.
I have found ftp's write speed is much closer to what my Samba read speed is so I'm going to give it a guess that is a software problem rather than hardware

Yesterday my internet (Via Cable) was working fine on my desktop, today it keeps telling me
"Local Area Connection" doesn't have a valid IP configuration. My W-Lan works fine, I've replaced the cable with another cable, restarted everything five times over, and even tried plugging the computer directly into a wall.
When I connected my laptop via cable (tried several) It gave me the same error...?

I'm upgrading my 4402 controllers from 4.2.112.0 to 4.2.209.0 and I also need the 4.2.205.0 ER.aes file. On a previous discussion I was given a link for the 4.2.205.0 ER.aes boot file for the 4404 controller. When I went to the 4402 controller software and clicked on the boot file 4.2.205.0 ER.aes, the file doesn't have the ER distinction. I was wondering if this is not really the ER.aes or is it just a typo in the file name?

In the past I have never had a problem but now I am getting the following error: Could not write to transfer socket: EPIPE - Local endpoint has been closed.I changed the MTU to manual - 1500 on the router.I am using an almost brand new iMacThe iMac firewall is OFFTimeout in Filezilla is set to 0.The transfer stops at about 12MB everytime I try; which is ~ 35 seconds.

I have portable hard disk connected to one of the TL-WDR3600 router usb ports (another one has printer connected to it)
Write speed is about 3Mbytes/sec maximum.Real disk write speed is about 35-38Mbytes/sec - if I connect it to one of the PC USB ports (both router and PC ports are USB 2.0)Why write speed via router is so low?
My PC is connected to router via cable and is running Windows 7 32bit Ultimate SP1, hard disk partition is 465Gb NTFS single volume.I'm measuring speed simply by coping 1.4Gb file through Windows Explorer to \tplinklogin.net (following USB storage access instructions from router control panel) in first case and directly to hard disk - in second case.
I bought a seagate USB hard drive today from Target. Its a 2TB and I was going to use it via USB attached to my router. I connected it and the Linksys firmware detected it and I was able to create the appropriate folders on the drive for storage through the linksys GUI.My issue is that I am now trying to move my movies and tv shows over to the drive and it isn't allowing me to do that.
I get an error message that says "You don't have access to //myshare. contact your administrator".
I'm not sure why I was able to create folders on this drive but am unable to move files to it. Makes no sense to me. Write permission is write permission no?My machine which currently stores the media files is windows7 utimate. The router is E3000 using up to date stock firmware.
If I try to set a torrent download to write directly to the USB drive on my E3000, it only works for a few minutes (at low speeds) and then I lose access to the drive and the torrent stops. I can access the drive again less than a minute afterwards.
It'd be handy to be able to write torrents straight to the USB drive instead of having to move the completed files to it after the torrent is finished.

The connection to the share is \192.168.1.1ExHDOn the hard drive I've got a folder called "Mijn muziek" (Dutch for My music). So when i go to \192.168.1.1ExHDMijn muziek, the content of the folder is shown. The weird thing is, I can rename the folder, but i cannot add anything to the folder or remove anything from it. I can add files to other folders on the hard driveAnother thing I don't understand is that his folder shows up as "Music" when I create the share.Music is not a folder on the hard drive, but when I go to \192.168.1.1ExHDMusic, i'm in the "Mijn muziek" folder.I have the exact same problems with the folders "Mijn documenten" (shown as Documents) and "Mijn afbeeldingen" (shown as Pictures). View 4 Replies View RelatedI just installed an Aironet 1140 to replace a Netgear ProSafe access point that I had in my network prior. I'm having one issue that I can't figure out though. None of the client PCs can establish a connection to an external (over the internet) VPN server while on the Aironet wireless. If i unplug the AP and plug a PC into the same port that normall feeds the Aironet I can VPN just fine.
Is there any "VPN Passthrough" option that needs to be enabled somewhere on the 1140 that is blocking this traffic for some reason?

There are no other devices connected to the access point at the time. Wired PCs on the LAN that the access point is connected to are not having a problem.Pings from the laptop, through the access point, to our central WAN router are at <10ms.The WAN circuit (remote location to headquarters) is 5Mbps. No congestion.Circuit out from headquarters to I'net is 50Mbps. No congestion.Access point and router interfaces show no errors or collisions, etc. The configuration is the same as 28 other standalone access points in 28 different LANs on the WAN. They have no problems.
