I am currently trying to upgrade a 2800 series router to the latest IOS. I have loads of space on the router but the issue seems to be that Pumkin can't handle the size of the file. Keeps failing and saying that I might want to increase my block size. I increased it to the maximum size but still didn't work.

When we start the server the EDS-GCF log file size start to increasing rapidly until it consumes up all free space and it only stops when we stop the Daemon Manager service. I tried to do the pds how command but I get no output from it. I included the portion of the EDS and EDS-GCF log files. i searched and didn't find the cause of this error.

View 7 Replies View RelatedFirst is it possible to change the length that new files will be created? Right now it creates 1 minute chunks which becomes a pain in the butt to manage. I would really like to set the length to 10min or even 60min chunks as one minute is just to short. I use the camera for constant recording and do not plan on puttin in a computer to record to due to logistics.
Secondly, is there software that will manage these files? That is pull down from the cameras SD and archive then allow you to simply play from any location via mouse or time picker?
I have used professional security systems in the past and know that this is just an entry home consumer camera but was hoping it had a little more functionality, as it stands the built in SD recording is almost useless without some sort of management software.
I have an odd problem with the FTP server. I currently hooked up a 250GB portable HDD which is formatted in NTFS. A single folder in the root of the drive is mounted as the FTP server. Every time I upload a zip or far, the file comes out ends up being uploaded corrupt and double the original file size. I have used 2 FTP clients, using either ASCII or binary. No matter how I go about it, I can't make the files upload at the normal file size. Its not just archives, however, I tried an mp3 and it too got uploaded corrupt and double the size. I then downloaded the mp3 to try and play it but it didn't play in windows media player. However I loaded the 'corrupt mp3 into audacity and the file played like normal.
View 5 Replies View RelatedWhen we originally deployed our Cisco Prime NCS and MSE Virtual Appliances, the VMsphere server they were on was not able to assign us the level of resources we requested. We installed the MSE as "LOW" system due to the memory and CPU requirements. It has a 2000 CAS element limit. At the time we were licensed for 1000, so no huge problem.
Now, we purchased a Cisco UCS C240 server to run our Prime NCS and MSE on, which gives us our own environment where we have plenty of resources. I also bought 6000 CAS element licensing.
The catch is, how can I either do a fresh install, using the same UID, on our new UCS server, so that our licensing is still valid when we move the box, or, is it possible to do some sort of platform reinstall or upgrade after moving our original MSE VM guest over to the UCS server? Sadly, I can't even utilize the additional 1000 CAS element licensing at this time because it won't allow me to add the 6000 license and use only 2000, on the LOW appliance. So I've got to get these VM guests moved, but maintain any UID's so that the licensing still works.
Is it possible to disconnect the licensing we have, from the UID, and move it to a different UID?
After ACS upgrade from 5.2 to 5.3 we have noticed that backup files are significantly smaller in size. For example before the upgrade they were:

I have Catalyst 6509 E with redudant SUP720-3B (and MSFC3) running 12.2(18)SXF6 IP Services Lan Only IOS (this IOS requires 512MB DRAM and 64MB of flash) SUP has 512MB DRAM (458720K/65536K) and 512MB sup-bootdisk:, but, there is65536K bytes of Flash internal SIMM (Sector size 512K).
My question is can I put 12.2(33)SXJ3 IP Services Lan Only IOS to this 6500 because this IOS requires 512MB DRAM and 512MB od flash?This is "sh ver" and "dir all-filesystems" of my 6500:

I have successfully installed the 5.0.21.9 patch and ADE-OS 1.2 update but when I attempt the 5.1 install via "app install ACS_5.1.0.44.tar.gz local" I get the error "Manifest file not found in the bundle."

I created the repository by TFTPing the file to disk:/Upgrade and pointing a repository to disk:/Upgrade. I verified the checksum of the file as it sits on my TFTP server and also manually extracted the file to verify the manifest.xml file is actually there.
I recently installed a firmware upgrade on my E3000 to firmware version 1.0.04.build 6. Since the upgrade I am unable to see any of my files on my network computer which is running windows 7. Before everything was fine and I could stream to my dvd players and dish receivers.

I was going to upgrade the firmware from version 2.44.2 to the one on the site 2.45.10 but when it is downloading I get a message at the end upgrade file pattern error. I don't do anything fancy with the router, just plain old routing (I have a firewall behind it).

I am running two ASA 5520 in fail over to handle our traffic but I don't know the best way to use both external ranges. This is not a failover scenario -- and I need outward facing servers on both ranges. It is adventageous to us to keep the two external subnets separating two of our operations so we don't want to bring everything into one subnet (long story).I have one NIC designated outside that will need to cater for both wans. View 4 Replies View RelatedI have two 7206 VXR routers with the VPN Service Adapter either side of a leased line (i.e. no provider between, pure layer two connectivity)A requirement is that traffic traversing the link is encrypted so I've configured an IPSec VPN between the two endpoints.During load testing we noticed a very severe performance hit when the VPN was enabled, disabling it again saw we were able to use almost 100% of the 1000Mbs line. The performance hit looks to be due to the increased MTU size when using IPSec, possible due to fragmentation.
I've read that the 7206 VXR can support 980Mbs (or there abouts) of throughput using AES providing the MTU size is 1400.Configuring this manually on each server in each data centre isn't feasible.As the link is effectively a point to point and we have control over the MTU size between the two routers, what options are available to increase the performance when the VPN is enabled?
I am working on a Drupal site which is on a virtual server (the way it's been explained to me). I've been told I need to work with it through webdev. So I can copy a file off the server and onto my local machine. I make my edits and then try to upload it to the server. I get locked out with the message: Error 0x80070021: The process cannot access the file because another process has locked a portion of the file. I have tried shutting down my code editor, opening and closing the connection, tried different methods of reaching the server (Cyberduck and through Window's map network feature) to no avail. What can I do?

I thought these routers were designed for T1/E1 type speeds. I know I saw a router performance document somewhere that showed 1841's could handle 38.4MB of traffic and that is only with routing turned on. If anything else is enabled, like access lists, NetFlow or whatever, that number will decrease because of the capacity of the router. Am I correct in these statements? Any document or anything else that shows performance of these routers?

I am investigating a problem together with Microsoft Support about a download/upload performance issue with a Microsoft Forefront TMG array which is connected to a single SG300-28P. Àpparently this issue exist on every NLB array we implement. I am now at the point we asume the SG500-28P does not handle NLB in unicast mode very well.
We have a network topology as shown below:Please note the actual public IP Addresses are hidden and the internal IP Addresses are diffrent, for security reasons.
Our SG500-28P is configure in L3 mode. It hosts three subnets you see above. The two TMG servers are configured with NLB (in unicast mode) on the Internal Network and External Network interface. It is connected to the internet and our internal network. These TMG Servers are in fact Edge Servers. Our other servers and client are in a different VLAN. The default gateway flows through this NLB Cluster [10.250.0.254].
Problem: When a client uses its default to connect to the internet the performance is very and very slow. With an internet connection of 10/10 we get 10/2. With an internet connection 100/100 we only get 7/1!.
Now we have tried everyting we can imagine. I can't write down all, because that would be a lot. One thing is worth notice; When we move the client to the same VLAN as the NLB Cluster and the client uses 10.250.0.1 as its default gateway, the problem still exists. But... when the client uses 10.250.0.254 as its default gateway the performance is outstanding 95/95! Apparently if traffic for the NLB Cluster is routed through the SG300-28P the performance drops like a rock.
I have never seen this before with SG300 series switches, although this environment is different. Normally I would configure NLB in multicast mode. But the switch does not allow to add static ARP entries for multicast MAC Addresses.I know NLB in unicast mode introduces switch flooding and such. But why does the SG500 not handle this right? Is there anything I can do about it?

So a BT home hub is a very cheap router, so it seems. And - if you connect a quite a lot of eq to this router, it starts crashing. "It can't handle the traffic.". But what does that mean? Why can it handle the traffic for a while and after a few days it can't anymore. And lets say - some of the eq doesn't really work on the external network, it works on the internal network, and it doesn't need the internet to work for proper functionality. So - what is important then? Which specifications are the important ones?

I need to know the MTU size on my 1841 wireless connection.My router connects to the internet via a adsl connection wich is sed to MTU 1492.Internet works fine on wired ports. Although when i connect to my wireless SSID(bridged setup) i manually have to set up the MTU on my OSX machine in order for my connection to behave properly. When set to automatic i have serious fragmentation issues. Is there a way to set the MTU size for my wireless module connections in order for MTU to be 1492 or lower in order for my mac to get the settings automatically? [code]

Recently they have been getting error messages when attempting to create accounts. I am seeing the database maxxed out at 2048. The docs state database entries are made up of mac filters(don't use)..ap mic/ssc(don't use)..Dynamic interfaces(minimal) management users(2) local netusers (100 approx)..and excluded clients(none). So the numbers don't add up.I am on 4.2.61.0 code.. I will say also that WCS shows alot more netuser accounts than my anchor does but no where the numbers to max out the database. Is there some other criteria that hits against the datasbase number?? And what can I do on the WCS to insure it si synch'd up against the dmz anchor other than a audit..
