We have lms 3.2 that we are facing a problem with it. When we start the server the EDS-GCF log file size start to increasing rapidly until it consumes up all free space and it only stops when we stop the Daemon Manager service. I tried to do the pds how command but I get no output from it. I included the portion of the EDS and EDS-GCF log files. i searched and didn't find the cause of this error.

after a while the size of the log files in /var/log files (boot.log, messages.log) going to have huge size, something about 20G for each one

how do i set limit on the log file size in ACS 5.3. I had the same issue with Nexus 1000v but there is a command that enables you to set log file nane and size. it is getting bulky.

I have loads of space on the router but the issue seems to be that Pumkin can't handle the size of the file. Keeps failing and saying that I might want to increase my block size. View 5 Replies View RelatedFirst is it possible to change the length that new files will be created? Right now it creates 1 minute chunks which becomes a pain in the butt to manage. I would really like to set the length to 10min or even 60min chunks as one minute is just to short. I use the camera for constant recording and do not plan on puttin in a computer to record to due to logistics.
Secondly, is there software that will manage these files? That is pull down from the cameras SD and archive then allow you to simply play from any location via mouse or time picker?
I have used professional security systems in the past and know that this is just an entry home consumer camera but was hoping it had a little more functionality, as it stands the built in SD recording is almost useless without some sort of management software.
I have an odd problem with the FTP server. I currently hooked up a 250GB portable HDD which is formatted in NTFS. A single folder in the root of the drive is mounted as the FTP server. Every time I upload a zip or far, the file comes out ends up being uploaded corrupt and double the original file size. I have used 2 FTP clients, using either ASCII or binary. No matter how I go about it, I can't make the files upload at the normal file size. Its not just archives, however, I tried an mp3 and it too got uploaded corrupt and double the size. I then downloaded the mp3 to try and play it but it didn't play in windows media player. However I loaded the 'corrupt mp3 into audacity and the file played like normal.
View 5 Replies View RelatedWe have approximately 150 1142 LWAPP's deployed in our facility. Recently we started getting complaints about speed issues (90% are using G 10% N). Upon investigating we found that the speeds are fluctuating rapidly. Everything from 54Mbps down to 1Mbps and back up again. I've confirmed that this will happen while standing next to an AP (and confirming connectivity to it), however I cannot find anything wrong or anything that has changed with our configuration. We are a large facility and it is happening all over the campus, so I'm fairly certain it isn't any type of 'normal' interference.

Today I finally upgraded my ISP to cable (from a slower DLS connection) to get reasonable speed/price All is working very well but unlike my old DSL modem the internet status light on the DIR-655 blinks very rapidly all the time instead of when traffic is passed.The new modem is a Motorola SB6141,I am running the latest firmware 1.35NA I went through a complete re-setup to see if that would calm the light but no dice there. (the settings arrived at were basically the same for the old Sprint modem) ,Is there something I am missing or is it time to retire the old DIR-655 for something more current.

But before I enumerate those issues, I have a simple question: are the connection lights on these switches *supposed* to blink rapidly? Or are they supposed to blink *normally*?On all other switches I've ever seen / worked on / worked around, when a cable is plugged into a port, the connection lights blink upon network activity. sometimes they blink a little faster when there's lots of activity, but mostly it's an almost lazy, random kind of blinking. When you look at a switch and every light on every port that's connected is blinking very rapidly, your first instinct is "No *wonder* nothing works around here!" and you find the port that's chattering and unplug it...all the blinkies go back to normal.Well, on the 15 switches we've installed, every light that's on blinks rapidly, as if there's an uncontrolled storm going on. Is that the "new norm"? Did I miss the memo, and there is nothing to be worried about here? Or are the rapidly blinking lights telling me there is, indeed, a problem?

When i check the status of my Internet Connection I notice that the sent and received bytes keeps increasing. I'm sure there are no downloads taking place that I'm aware of. No torrent clients, no antivirus nothing. I checked my PC for malware but that didn't work. As a result of this, i keep getting high pings in online games and can't even watch videos in youtube anymore. like, some software to monitor all the programs that use the itnernet connection without my knowledge or something??My primary concern is gaming (Call of Duty 4) so I wouldn't mind this idle downloading (whatever it is) as long as the major chunk of my internet connection is directed towards Cod4!

I have a friend in another area of town who is getting these speeds consistently, although i will admit he lives in a much more "technologically advanced" area where there are several big technology businesses like IBM. I just had the service installed last week, and have even had the cable techs to the house, but i am not even close to getting what i paid for.On average a normal day i would test at between 14-17GB down and maybe 2.2 up (using Time Warner's speed test, on tests from places like Speakeasy the speeds show much lower).So the question after the long winded description is this. Is there any program i can use that may be able to safely tweak my system and get closer to the speeds i should be getting? I know i may never reach 30 down and 5 up, but if i could at least be in the 20's down and maybe 3.5-4 up.

Most are connected over via wifi, the exceptions being one pc, the nas and a printer. I plan to add six more devices plus some ip cams. The way the router or network is configured whenever a guest connects to our wifi they can "see" our computers. I haven't been able to tell if they can see the files or just the name of the computer. Question 1: How can I tell if the guests are able to access the data on our computers or networked drive? Question 2: If I add a switch will I need to do anything special with regard to security?

From what I have read about bonding, it seems like if you bond (for example) 2x 1Gbit Ethernet connections on two servers (ie so both have two ports bonded), then if using something like 802.3ad, a file transfer should utilize both ports, and you should see a throughput of 2 Gbit/s. So this would be an increase in throughput and bandwidth, right?
But, what I generally see, is for any single TCP connection, only one port is ever utilized at a time.So for example if I'm SCPing a large file from server1 to server2, I generally see that the scp session is only using one interface, at 1 Gbit/s. I can then also run a second SCP session which will use the second port, and also move at 1 Gbit/s.
This would be increasing the bandwidth, but not the throughput, correct?Which of these behaviors is what I should be seeing with 802.3ad? I guess it depends on the hashing method? Is there a hashing method which will allow a single connection to be spread over two interfaces, allowing 2Gbit/s transfers?
I have just noticed that my Cisco ASA 5510 cpu utilization increasing upto 30-35 % and when i issue sh processes cpu-usage, i have found dispatch unit occupied most of utilization.

View 5 Replies View RelatedI found increasing number of overrun in the tengigabit interface. The hardware is 6509 with sup720-3B and the overrun output is shown in WS-X6716-10GE module. The connected device to WS-X6716-10GE is EMC Islion S200. I think the capability of WS-X6716-10GE can handle EMC NAS device and the load is not so busy. So I have no idea of handling this and the reason why this overrun packet is shown.

View 1 Replies View Relatedi just bought the E4200v2 and configured for my network. the router found the latest firmware and has been updated. i tried multiple configurations/channels etc with no change.basically, coverage is horrible, and even when in the same room as this router copying files from a linux server and a window7 machine is extremly slow.... almost as if its G speed. my mac is showing the transmit rate >108mbps and should be copying at 60,70 even 80 mbps (megabits), but im getting on average ~28mbps however, uploading from my mac to those 2 machines flys. im seeing speeds at 80 to 90 mbps, which is again, what i would expect.
