We recently purchased SG300-52s to be deployed as IDF switches of several buildings. We also implemented LACP between it and our core cisco 4503 switch. In the inserted image, the first setup where we used Cat 6 UTP cables, LACP connection worked flawlessly. However, when we tried deploying it using our fiber optic connection and media converters, the LACP won't go up.
I would like to know if you have experienced the same problem and what could be done to correct this situation. Initially, i am thinking that it has something to do with the media conversion from copper to fiber, vice versa. I am searching the web for similar problems but can't find one.
I got a few Cisco Aironet 3602i. The minimum WLC version to support these is 7.1.91.0. I am planning to upgrade to 7.2.103.0. The minimum WCS version to support these WAP is 7.0.220.0 and the next available 7.0.230.0. Checking the release notes for both of these WCS versions, there is no mention of support for WLC versions listed above.

Am I missing something here ? What versions would be required on WCS and WLC to make all the three entities (WLC, WCS, WAP) inter-operable ?
I have 3 WLC's currently running version 7.0.116 and a WCS on version 7.0.220. I am looking at upgrading the versions and am uncertain as to the compatibility.
1. Upgrade the WCS to 7.0.240, and upgrade the WLC's to 7.3. Resulting in my WCS just not able to manage the "new features" in the latest WLC code?
2. Upgrade the WLC's to 7.3 resulting in WCS completely unable to manage the WLC's? I am aware there is WLC 7.4 code however I've read there is an issue with 1142 AP's rebooting.

View 1 Replies View RelatedI am in the process of rebuilding our ASA 5540 pair. We are currently on 8.2 code with this set of firewalls and I was going to upgrade it to 8.4 being I have a couple of other firewalls running this code currently and am familiar with it. That said, I saw that the 9.x code is out there now. Are there any major advantages or caveats with the 9.0 code? I plan to use this firewall with SSL VPN and RSA Secure ID integration for the next 2-3 years at least. Any quick pointers on these two code versions and on upgrading to 9 or staying with 8.4 line.
View 2 Replies View RelatedWhy do some versions have heatsinks and others don't? The HP branded cards EH352AA always seem to have the heatsink, but very few Intel branded cards have it. I'm talking about the single port NICs - all dual+ port cards have the heatsink.
View 2 Replies View RelatedI am configuring two 2504 controllers, which I ordered together, however they run different software versions and I don't have a contract/ login to download wlan controller software from the Cisco website. The one with the newest version runs 7.2.103.0 while the other one runs 7.0.220.0 I want to run them together in the same subnet and use them for redundancy (10 AP's will connect).
Is there a way I can download the software from the controller, just like I am able to do with an ASA firewall? Then I can upload it to the controller with the older software version.
We have 3200 logical devices configured on CiscoWorks and CiscoWorks is running very very slow. CiscoWorks installed on server with Windows Server 2003 32-bit and this version of windows it can only support RAM up to 4GB, which is already installed. In order to increase the RAM we have to upgrade the windows version as well. Which versions of Window can perform best with CiscoWorks. E.g. Windows Server 2003 with Service Pack 1 (SP1), Standard Edition 64-bit: or Windows server 2008 etc. We are currently using the LMS 3.2, RME 4.3.0, CM 5.2.1

I have noticed and so has the customer that there are many commands missing or added and they want an expalnation of these. I can do some of them easily, change syntax etc but for instance it has added a table-map, 50 vlans with a large MTU and large COPP policy.
What are these ?? and also is there a quick way resource etc to find out why the commands have been added/removed, for instance-mls ip cef load-sharing full is missing--

I want to upgrade all of the units before I start on the CCNA and I'm having trouble working out what the final rommon version is for each of the routers. My 3640's are on version "Version 11.1(20)AA2". Is this the final release ?
One of my 2620's is on "Version 12.2(10r)1" and the other is on "Version 12.2(6r)". Is "10r" the final release for the 2620 ?I've also seen a few sites mention that either version "8r" or "3r" of the 2620 rommon adds support for 32MB flash SIMMs. Is that correct ?Is there a document that describes the differences between the different releases ?
We have Internal Wireless Controllers to be set up for HA (AP SSO) and wireless traffic from Guest SSID will be terminated on a Guest Anchor Controller inside Firewall DMZ. The Internal WLC controllers are installed with software versions 7.3.101.0, and the Guest Anchor controller is installed with software version 7.2.103.0. Just wondering if the Guest Anchor controller needs an upgrade to match the software versions on the HA controllers. Also, Cisco provides a new version of code, 7.3.112.0 now. So is it recommended to install the new software version on the HA controllers as well as the Guest Anchor Controller.

I have a WRT54G v1, V1.1, V2....V8, I also have WRT54GS's WRT54GL's and others, Lots of other Linksys stuff, almost all of it in the Blue and Black boxes of varing sizes.I have a heck of a time when I reconfigure my network or the wife changes the furniture. I'd love a single document that lists the power specifications and adapter requirements for thens devices... I can't find them any where on the Linksys site. I Have looked and searched and nowhere can I find a consolidate list.
Any have a list of the DC power Specifications, Barrel sizes, and other stuff needed to buy a replacement Power adapter. This page url...lists a lot of information but does not list this critical information... I am amazed that Linksys does not have it listed some where here. Losing a wall wart should not be a reason to pull you hair out, just a simple purchase, If they don't want to stock them, then at least tell us what they are.

I own 2 different Panasonic IP cameras (BL-C30 and BL-C210A), which in the past have been able to FTP captured images to a host (in this case, the UGOLOG service). Upon upgrading my router to the D-Link DIR-655, this ability stopped. I also tried HTTP transfer, and this too is now unsuccessful.I can access these cameras from the internet, so the router is properly opening the ports. In my testing, I was able to FTP directly to the site via browse (ftp://) with no issues at all. The port/userid/password was accepted. On the cameras, I've played with login timing and data transfer method (active/passive), to no avail. The cameras report: Could not connect to FTP server. (panasonic error code: 133 80005008H) and FTP error 426: Connection closed, transfer aborted. On the DIR-655, firmware Version :1.35NA.

View 6 Replies View RelatedAs long as I have been doing this stuff, I have never had a clear understanding of all of the 6500 boot images and statements. The more I read online, the more I get confused.
1. What is the boot image "boot-mz" for? Where should it be placed (i.e. bootflash)? what command do I need to issue in order to use the boot image I want?
2. What is the IOS rommon image for? I thought the rommon image was the boot image but apparently these are two different images. Where should it be placed (i.e. bootflash, sup-bootflash, etc). What command do I use to ensure that I am using this IOS rommon image?
I search for the both files, because I want to configure one ASA with 8.2.1 and the other ASA with a 8.4.x image to see the differences between both versions. But I don`t have a account to download the ASA Image 8.4.x an the ASDM 6.4x to test it.Is there a chance to get those Images without a Account.
