Jul 26, 2012I have a new asr9010 that I want to upgrade from 4.2.0 to 4.2.1 sofware. When i try to run the "install activate isk0:asr9k-mini-p-4.2.1 sync" it fails and complains that the 2 files below or equivalent must be active.

Feb 20, 2011I own 2 different Panasonic IP cameras (BL-C30 and BL-C210A), which in the past have been able to FTP captured images to a host (in this case, the UGOLOG service). Upon upgrading my router to the D-Link DIR-655, this ability stopped. I also tried HTTP transfer, and this too is now unsuccessful.I can access these cameras from the internet, so the router is properly opening the ports. In my testing, I was able to FTP directly to the site via browse (ftp://) with no issues at all. The port/userid/password was accepted. On the cameras, I've played with login timing and data transfer method (active/passive), to no avail. The cameras report: Could not connect to FTP server. (panasonic error code: 133 80005008H) and FTP error 426: Connection closed, transfer aborted.On the DIR-655, firmware Version :1.35NA.

1. What is the boot image "boot-mz" for? Where should it be placed (i.e. bootflash)? what command do I need to issue in order to use the boot image I want?
2. What is the IOS rommon image for? I thought the rommon image was the boot image but apparently these are two different images. Where should it be placed (i.e. bootflash, sup-bootflash, etc). What command do I use to ensure that I am using this IOS rommon image?

Jan 25, 2012Whenever I load a gallery of images or even when I open up a couple of websites, sometimes the image/website won't load and is perpetually loading, only to time out minutes later.I've tried out different browsers (Chrome, Firefox) on my wired desktop and tried this on my Laptop through WiFi with the same two browsers. The result was the same each time. So it's not about faulty computer hardware, software or malware on the machines. [code] When I ran a Speedtest.net test, this weird issue happened on the end-result screen. Normally when you do a test there, you can share/compare etc. But for me, that content did not appear.On Reddit I browsed a couple of ragecomics for my leisure and then some of the img.ur hosted images won't load. I know this issue still exists, because I use Randomly ordered wallpapers / Wallbase.cc to test out the case. By using this link, you're presented with a bunch of random thumbnails. So I scroll down and keep loading thumbnails as fast the website and I can endure. But at one point, it will stop at a random thumbnail, load the first 20% of the image and freeze. Or it will load 20%, freeze, and continue loading the rest. I also tried this out by opening wallpapers, closing them with CTRL+W, repeating this process until one of them refused to load, but when I refreshed the browser it would magically load the image.
I have reset my modem and my router, the router has been restored to factory defaults. So I'm clueless on what could be the cause of this weird issue. Nothing in the LAN has changed, this started about a week ago. I've narrowed it down to the router, but there's nothing in the settings that would cause this behaviour.

Dec 29, 2011I noticed my tumblr dashboard was loading corrupted thumbnails. I first thought that tumblr was having problems, until it started happening on my deviantArt, and YouTube. I was worried that it was my computer, but then the same thing started happening on my moms' Macbook, and then her Wi-Fi streaming television started corrupting the video. And then, sometimes a website won't load fully, but will instead load part of it's code, or instead my browser (I've tried on Google Chrome, Firefox and IE) tells me the webpage is unavailable, or doesn't exist. It'll load up semi-properly (with the corrupted images still) after a refresh or two, but it's tiring and worrisome.

Downloads / Images Must Load Completely Before Displaying / Saving?
Jan 19, 2012Whenever I access a file through HTTP, it seems to require that I completely load the file before it will display.
1) For large images, this will result in the whole thing taking some time to load before displaying in its entirety, unlike the usual progressive rendering.
2) For file downloads, this will result in the file being downloaded only after being cached, appearing only when the whole file has finished downloading, unlike the usual process where it can be seen as a progress bar in the browser's download window (for some reason, FTP downloading seems to work normally)
3) For internet streaming video, this means the video will not display until the whole video has been buffered (i.e. will not play until fully loaded)
1) I am on a home network. Other computers (including my old one) do not exhibit similar problems
2) Using Firefox 9.01
3) Win 7 SP1
4) Realtek PCIe GBE controller

I don't want to have to upgrade the ROM version.Will the cat4000-i5k91s-mz.122-25.EWA14.bin image retain all the current features of the current image and provide SSH2 support, without requiring a ROM upgrade?Each switch has 512 Mb of RAM.If this image will accomplish what I want, what are the commands used to select the new image from bootflash. I'm familiar with image updates on fixed chassis switches using the boot system flash command.

Dec 27, 2011I was browsing through a blog website (tumblr), and I noticed that several images looked VERY distorted and bizarre.[URL] This started continuing as a scrolled through my dashboard, and even .gifs were affected, also becoming very distorted like flashing white and having broken parts to it. At first I thought it was a problem with just the website, but after asking other people who said they were fine and browsing through other sites, I noticed that the problem wasn't just that. It even looks like it's affecting your website's banner. [URL] The browsers I tried this with are Google Chrome, Firefox, and Internet Explorer, all of them having the same problem. Also on several websites like tumblr, youtube, yahoo, etc. I even get times where it looks like I see bits or large chunks of html on the page, as if those are broken too. Now, the strange part is all of my images that I have saved to my hard drive and all of my gifs, etc. are working completely fine, and I can view them with no problem. Images on the internet, however, are very distorted. This is also happening to several images, not every single one of them. Then I thought that my laptop could be infected with a virus, but I performed multiple virus scans (Windows Defender which I know isn't that good, a Norton antivirus scan, and an Avast scan.) All scans said my computer was completely clean and free of threats. I had also gone through my computer's display settings and all of that just to see, even though I had never touched those. Everything looked to be fine from what I saw. And now starting yesterday, the problem has mysteriously spread to my iPod touch (2nd gen but it still works fine), with images that I view online also having the same distortion problems.
I was only able to rule things out to the internet connection now. Now, what's odd is I was at first trying this on my iPod, but I went and connected to the wireless network of a neighbor, and images on the iPod actually looked restored. Then after trying it on my laptop and going on my browsers, the images were strangely distorted again... I then went and cleared the cache and cookies (not including the history), and that actually managed to do SOMETHING. The images that were distorted on my browser were restored, but then OTHER images and .gifs became distorted. (Also as a side question, is it the end of the world for me if I erase my cache on cookies while on a website? I heard from people that you shouldn't delete your cache if you're on a website, but I didn't know about that at first... Of course, I don't think it made things worse, since the problem was still present before I deleted it.) Clearing the cache on my ipod's internet also seemed to have the same effect as with my laptop and its browsers... Also clearing the cache several times only went only caused the same thing, with some of the restored images from before going back to being distorted.

Existing routers do not have enough flash to hold 2 IOS images.if the router has 12.4.13r ROM IOS, will I be able to boot the ISR router via Cisco brand USB? That means in case something goes wrong while I am uploading new IOS to the router via WAN and something wrong, now router in ROMMON mode. If a local site person has a Cisco USB with an IOS in it, can he just stick it to the router and reboot the router and router will go out of rommon and go into normal mode? After it is working, then I can put the running IOS onto the exisitng CF card so now I can remove the USB and the CF card has a good IOS and reboot the router again.I am just trying to find a safe way to upgrade the site when they don't have big enough flash to hold 2 IOS at the same time. The local person is not technical so asking him to setup tftp server and put the IOS in the computer and so I can do tftpdnld while in rommon mode to grab the IOS from his tftp will be difficult to have the local person to set it up.
If ISR can boot off of the IOS in USB only, then I assume the requiremetn is the ROM IOS needs to be 12.4.13r. Then what is a safe way to upgrade the ROM IOS to this then? I never upgrade ROM IOS before so don't know what kind of problem I may run into and whether it's higher risk to upgrade this than upgrading the regular ios? If it is, then all my routers won't have this ROM IOS version, so that means I can't use USB to boot then? Will that means I am down to tftp server option? ( I heard xmodem won't work as it will time out before the ios can load via the slow dialup link into the router to rescue it from rommon mode).

Dec 11, 2012I have a CT2504 at a customer site which does not load the captive portal page correctly nor will it load via HTTP as opposed to HTTPS.So for starters I did what I do with all my CT2504's (which work fine), I configured my Guest network to authenticate via the default captive portal. I then disabled HTTPS and SSH and enabled HTTP managment followed by rebooting the controller. On boot, logging into the WLC management GUI is automatically presented via HTTP as expected.However when clients access the Guest network they are redirected to the Web Authorisation via HTTPS instead of HTTP?In addtion to the above the captive portal page does not display correctly.The preview via the controller works fine, but the client is presented with a page with broken links to the images i.e. the blue strip at the top and the Cisco logo on the right.

Every thing works fine, but I can't show videos or images from a usb-hdd connected to the router (Media server is started)I can access the files with my windows pc and windows media-player. AND I can view content on the usb-hdd connected to the router, over allshareplay for windows and send it to the tv.But I want to show videos on the usb-hdd without my pc. I see the TP-Link Router as a source on allshareplay on the tv. When I click on it, there is a error message, that the request can't be executed.

But when we try to launch acquisition, the UT utility complains with this error message:"Failed to start acquisition: Device unreachable. Please enter a valid device."When we wanted to add ports via Device Trap Configuration, LMS has fired a different error message: "There are no ports to configure for the selected device(s).Check whether you have selected any router(s)." I have three computers wired to it and their Host names (as specified in the set-up of each computer) show up in the router's DHCP device table. I also have two printers (one old Brother HL5250DN laser printer and one new HP Photosmart Premier C410a inkjet printer) connected and there are blanks where the Host name should go. I would like to be able to tell which printer is which when I am looking at the DHCP device table. How can I get a names associated with each printer's IP address in the router's DHCP device table? (The real problem is that the router seems to have both printers at the same IP address (192.168.1.100) and if I can get one of them to change I'd like to know which one it was!)
