I have a 877W router and a ASA5505 firewall. If I purchase a Smartnet contract for 877W router, I take it this give me access to download newer IOS for router?
Does it also give me access to ASA5505 downloads? Or do I have to purchase a seperate Smartnet for it to access ASA downloads?
I have a 2600 router i intend to use as an access server. I doesn't have an IOS so i downloaded via tftp. I should see the file at Dir flash:, but all i get are these error

And if i tried to download again the file, its failing because it seems that there aren't any space available in my flash. Here is the mem info.

Here's what i think. The first file download could be corrupted and it eats up the space on my flash. My question is how can I reformat the flash so that I can re download the IOS? And if in case that fails also, any other way i can recover this machine.
I have windows server 2008r2 running a FTP server, so I can back up my configs and upgrade IOS when needed. My problem is than I can backup to the server just fine but when i try and restore a config or pull a new IOS over it gives me this error

I'm trying to get the 802.11n working but it seems to be stuck in 802.11G since I can only get it to go up to 36mb. The radio says its running in mixed mode and I can't figure out if that means b/g or b/g/n. I ran the Express Setup and it didn't seem to work.

I would like to explain my situation. My house has 2 floors. My broadband modem is on the 2nd floor. I have an ea 2700 linksys router there, connected to the broadband modem. However, i can't get a good wireless signal on 1st floor, therefore i bought a second router, an e 4200 linksys.
I searched the web, and connected both routers via Ethernet cable, plugging them in lan ports. The ea2700 was only configured wireless security passwords. The e4200 had it's ip renamed to 192.168.1.2 and DHCP server turned off. Well, i have a problem here. the second router, doesn't give me access to internet.

This access point has the number 7000-000-732 but I cannot see such a model on the Net.. The nearest similar one seems to be the 3Com� Wireless 7760 11a/b/g PoE Access Point.

View 3 Replies View RelatedI've been trying to set up my new Cisco 1921 Router to provide internet access to my local network but with no success. I've been reading guides and looking at videos and I have to be missing something becaouse I can't access internet (ping/tracert) from my local network.
The DHCP server works fine and the clients on my local network gets ip-adresses from the router but can't ping or tracert outside the local network.

We have 2 aironet 1310 aps setup as infrastructure access points between 2 buildings. One went south on us & we placed it. Before the bad one went down, we were able to manage both remotely & could see them from the next device via CDP. Now, we can't connect or even ping either AP. And the weird part is that the switches that connected to each can see each other via CDP, but not the access points between them. I'm attaching the configuration. Before I make the 2.5 hour drive back to the site, what I may have misconfigured on either or both access points?

Now, I am on Hughesnet for internet service, can not get on DSL, wont happen already asked. Now, I am running a router, only way my wife and son can access the internet. They have laptops windows 7 and build-in Wireless Cards. I have a desktop windows 7. My updates are scheduled in the morning hours about 5AM so their is no reason for the computer to update. Same goes for my wife and son, their are set for early morning hours as well. I have an installed RV110W at a client site that has to be rebooted about once a week since it stops allowing inbound access to mapped ports. For example, it stops forwarding connections on Port 25 to the client's e-mail server. I thought for a while there was a software issue with the e-mail server but after days of eliminating all other likely issues I rebooted the router and everything was fine. Now the problem recurs about once a week and rebooting the router always fixes it (this is week 3). Forwarding to ports 80, 443, and several others also stop working.

My internal machine ip address 10.0.0.10/8. I have tried to remove and re-enter the "http" and "Crypto key" related command. Wireshark show "Alert (level: Fatal, Description: Handshake Failure)" right after I entered URL in browser-tried IE and Chrome. Java version should not be a problem as I can access the second ASA.
