Cisco Infrastructure :: 2600 - Reformat Flash / IOS Download

I have a 2600 router i intend to use as an access server. I doesn't have an IOS so i downloaded via tftp. I should see the file at Dir flash:, but all i get are these error
rommon 1 > dir flash:

And if i tried to download again the file, its failing because it seems that there aren't any space available in my flash. Here is the mem info.

Here's what i think. The first file download could be corrupted and it eats up the space on my flash. My question is how can I reformat the flash so that I can re download the IOS? And if in case that fails also, any other way i can recover this machine.

I have Cisco 2600 series Router which has only 32 MB flash memory. I tried to load IOS image in that but image size is 29 Mb in compressed form. The minimum i found is 5 MB in compressed form but it is missing so many commands. that in 32 MB flash, how can I load image which has almost all the commands.

I bought some hardware and created my own lab to prepare for the CCNA. I only have one machine with a serial port and whenever I try to connect to a router (I've tried multiple purchased from different sources) nothing happens on the screen. If I wait for a couple of seconds and hit enter I get the response shown on the screen in the screenshot I have inserted. If this image is too small I have also attached. looks like it has already asked me this but I am unable to see it. Shouldn't I see some information when I attempt to connect, some acknowledgement that I have connected? I have tried using both hyperterminal anbd PuTTy.

I already tried the discussions regarding flash_init dir_flash: boot and the likes.
By the way, I already downloaded the IOS for our switch through Cisco Website. Settings are default through Hyper Terminal
Here's the thing:
Whenever I transfer the .bin file using XMODEM, it prompted an error "Transfer cancelled by remote computer"

I have a cisco 2821 router configured as a CME version 7.1. Now I want to upgrade the IOS to version 15 to get a CME version 8.6 but I faced a problem that the flash of the 2821 is 64MB and the IOS version 15 required flash 128MB. I tried to replace this flash with another 128MB installed on Cisco 2811 router but when I installed the 128MB flash on the 2821 CME the 2821 didn't boot from it.

I have a 877W router and a ASA5505 firewall. If I purchase a Smartnet contract for 877W router, I take it this give me access to download newer IOS for router?
Does it also give me access to ASA5505 downloads? Or do I have to purchase a seperate Smartnet for it to access ASA downloads?

I have windows server 2008r2 running a FTP server, so I can back up my configs and upgrade IOS when needed. My problem is than I can backup to the server just fine but when i try and restore a config or pull a new IOS over it gives me this error

Trying to copy the system image file from the sup-bootflash to a new 64MB ATA flash card. Yes the software can support the 64MB card.
The ATA flash card was formated successfully, however I cannot copy the system image to it so that it can boot after a power loss.
The command I tried was: console(enabled) copy sup-bootflash: slot0:
The source filename was typed in as shown in the Show Verison command.The result was: Error opening slot0: no such device.I suspect that I am missing something obvious as I am new to Cisco Switches.

just reformatted my bros laptop the other day and reinstalled windows xp home, he bought the computer off of a friends so he doesnt have any of the driver discs or anything else that came with it, after reinstalling windows, I couldn't connect to the internet with it so i went to the hp site to get the network drivers for his laptop and installed them via a disc i put them on from a computer that does have internet access working, so now its saying its wireless is connected but when i try to access internet explorer it asks me if i want to work offline saying there is no connection. In network connections there is no local area network, and in device manager for network theres only 2 under it 1394 net adapter and Broadcom 802.11b/g WLAN, there are other devices with ? and ! attached to them, im not sure if they have to do with the problem or not just trying to get the internet working on his laptop so he can download the rest of his drivers/updates then but the other devices with ! or ? are: base system device x3, coprocessor, other PCI bridge device, PCI bridge device x2, SM bus controller, Universal Serial Bus (USB) Controller, Unknown devicex2, USB device, Video Controller (VGA Compatible)[CODE]

So today I went to my grandparents house, so I could reformat their computer that had crashed due to a virus. Their computer is a Dell Dimension 2400. I was able to download the video and audio drivers from the disk Dell gave them onto their computer, but cannot connect to the internet. I went into the network connections, nothing was there. Then i went into devices and saw the yellow exclamation mark by the ethernet device.

I reformatted my father's laptop, upgrading the OS from Vista to Windows 7 but now the wireless network adapter isn't working. Basically, the laptop doesn't know that it has wireless. In device manager there is an exclamation mark against the "Atheros AR5007UG Wireless Network Adapter" entry. I've tried uninstalling the driver and reinstalling it, restarting the computer, updating the driver etc but it always fails to install the driver correctly. I don't know for sure the model of the network adapter, (windows tells me it's atheros but I'm not convinced seeing as the driver always fails to install) so I can't go to the manufacturer's website to download the latest drivers. I opened up the laptop but couldn't see any brand names on the network card. I don't have the cd's with the drivers on them.

I have an Acer Aspire one that connected perfectly to the internet until I did a reformat. Now it only works if through a wired connection or if the internet does not have a password protection. I have tried on 2 different locations with secure wireless and both have the same result. Packets are sent but not received. All other devices in either location are able to connect to internet through wired or wireless connections.IP address is at 192.xxx and DHCP is enabled, TCP/IP is set to obtain automatically and I deleted and downloaded the newest drivers from the Acer website twice. I also did a winsock reset and tried to clear the arp cache? One of the issues I am getting when I run the diagnostic is "warn default gateway address could not be resolved via arp". I'm not sure how to resolve that.

I recently had to reformat, and I tried to re-install my E1000 Wireless N router from the CD. Even after entering my network name and password, it said it was unable to connect to my network. My internet works fine - I just can't make my computer in control of it again. I have several devices connected wirelessly, including an Ipad, and they all get internet fine. how to get the program installed so I can change settings again?

I had to reformat a Dell Latitude D830 with XP Pro SP2 due to a trojan. After XP was reinstalled, I inserted the cds which contain the drivers and such for my system. I installed the drivers and utilities, but for some reason when I plug my ethernet cable into the laptop, it says there is "Little or No Connectivity". I plugged the same ethernet cord into the desktop I am currently using, and it works just fine. The connection comes straight from the wall to the computer with no router or modem involved.

I have the same machine, same problems. After a reformat, WindowsXP would not reload drivers (from the OEM software provided by DELL). I reinstalled (in order) with a fair amount of difficulty got them all to load EXCEPT for the network adapter. I've download the adapter software AND driver; still no luck. Still working on this bugaboo. Incidentally, what saved me with the other drivers (yellow question marks on Base System Device controller, ethernet, PCI, SM Bus, etc) is that I had run a Belarc Advisor utility printout prior to the reformat. So now I at least had something to compare the before and after reformat with.

I have Inspiron 1525 with Marvell Yukon 88E8040 PCI-E Fast Ethernet Controller. After reformat, the network will not detect wireless modem after I think I have downloaded all pertinent drivers. In Device Manager, under Other Devices, The Network Controller shows an exclamation mark that under Device Status says, "The drivers for this device are not installed. (Code 28) To reinstall the drivers for this device, click Reinstall Driver." I have turned on the button on the left of the laptop and still missing something.Prior to the reformat everything was working well. I had the Blue Screen of death andthat's the reason for the reformat.

I have a Dell XPS 8300 desktop. The desktop recently got a virus which caused me to completely reformat the computer. I thought the PC came with a drivers CD but either it did not or I cannot find one. Now that I installed a fresh copy of Windows 7 it will not connect to the internet. I have tried downloading all network drivers, bios drivers and making sure BIOS is enabled but still I am unable to connect to the internet.
What can I do to fix this problem or is there any place that I can purchase the actual drivers CD for my PC so that this does not happen again? I have gone to the drivers and downloads page, put my tag number in and literally downloaded every single driver listed and still it is giving me the "no connection detected" error.

I am using TFTPD32 to upgrade the IOS on a router. When I type in the commands copy tftp flash and enter all the necessary information, the router sits for a minute or so and then times out. I get on-line, and the internet all-of-a sudden starts to show that I've downloaded my limit of 250MB. Now, I am on Hughesnet for internet service, can not get on DSL, wont happen already asked. Now, I am running a router, only way my wife and son can access the internet. They have laptops windows 7 and build-in Wireless Cards. I have a desktop windows 7. My updates are scheduled in the morning hours about 5AM so their is no reason for the computer to update. Same goes for my wife and son, their are set for early morning hours as well. I get an error message as soon as I click on my webpage that I want to browse, Internet Can Not Display The Webpage or something to that effect.

I'm looking at purchasing one Cisco 2600 XM Series router that has IOS 12.4 on it. I put the IOS name into Cisco's feature navigator and it states that it supports SSH and IPv6. Can I buy that router, take the IOS off that one, and put it on another 2600 XM Series so I don't have to spend $400 on two routers with 12.4 on them?

I have a cisco 877 router connected to our adsl broadband at our head office. I have managed to set this up with Nat and DHCP all working to let multiple users access the internet through our single static ip supplied by the ISP lets say the ip is 1.2.3.4.Our internal network is 192.168.1.0 255.255. 255. 0.I have a draytek vigor 2600 at a branch office set up the same with a static ip addresss supplied by the ISP lets say the ip is 5.6.7.8.The internal network is 192.168.4.0 255.255.255.0
I am trying to set up a VPN between the head office and branch office so the branch office users can connect to our internal server(lets say ip is 192.168.1.2) to receive group policies,access files and also telnet into our database server(lets say ip is 192.168.1.3).I have attached a sort of running config that i have pieced together from bits i have read on this site and others. I have tried these settings and other permutations of these settings but i cant seem to establish a tunnel even though when i show int tunnel0 on the router it says tunnel is up and line protocol is up, if i show ip route it shows that there is an ip address for the tunnel and that is about it(No vpn light on).
If it makes sense and that I have entered the right information? I have highlighted the parts i am not sure about in red(Quite a bit and obviously not the exact settings but what i think it should be). Once all the settings are correct on the cisco will it automatically establish the vpn or do i have to dial it from the draytek.

I was trying to erase my lab router 2600 and reset it back to the factory defaults. Well I was able to to reset it all right but I used the erase command which worked a little to well. So now there is no IOS and the router is in ROM mode and I didnt back up the pervious IOS "Nice". So was able to get an updated IOS for my 2600 but I'm trying to install it and don't know how. I was able to get a tftp server app for my windows pc but I'm unsure on how to configure it so I can transfer the new IOS to the router. On the up side I did learn something erasing and reset are to very different things.
