I can't find it on the Cisco Web site and eve a search of Google comes up relatively fruitless! Is the GLX compatible with my 3750G-24PS switch?

The problem we're having is for example our FTP server 192.168.1.16, cannot be accessed from its outside IP address, which is NATed on the router. The server is verified to be up and running and when we do a show debug ip nat, we see the router is translating outside users attempting to access the ftp server to it's correct internal IP address.

Ihave a 3560 w/multicast support and I'm trying to configure a simple environment. I have 2 ports configured, one for the multicast server and the other for the client. Each are on their own subnet, so I have an ip route between the two. My run config on both ports is:
ip multicast-routing distributed
interface fastethernet 0/3 & 0/4
ip pim version 2
ip pim sparse-dense-mode
I'm using vlc server /client configured to use 224.0.0.1 on my isolated network. I can see the mulitcast traffic going into the port, and I the client is sending reports, but I think the 3560 is dropping the packets, since I don't see them coming in the client port. Need to configure a simple multicast environment using 2 ports on a Cisco 3560.

I have a core switch Cisco3750G with 4 SFP slot populated with GLC-SX-MM module. Now in these 4 fiber GLC-SX-MM modules 3 are connected to 3 floor switches which are having the same GLC-SX-MM.Each link is configured as a TRUNK and allowed only that floor VLAN and working fine. Now the 4th GLC-SX-MM module has to be connected to a single desk top PC using a FIBER to UTP convereter, which is SC to UTP .Now patch pannel is LC ,I used a LC to SC fiber patch cord, but link is not coming up,in this situation if I used both side SC convereter then link is up.
All 4th GLC-SX-MM modules are checked and it is working fine.Only the forth floor link is not coming up,if I use the UTP to Fiber SC type connector in the CORE switch for teh 4th Floor then it is working. How to resolve this issue,Whether I need to use the UTP to Fiber LC type convereter in the fourth floor instead of SC type converter, logically when I use the LC-SC type patch cord and connecting to SC type converter it should work.
Our network system has 125 different Vlans (Cisco) and I would like to be able to route between only 2 particular Vlans, I know with the command “ip route “ in our layer 3 switches (ws-c3750G -12S) I would be able to route among all Vlans but I need to be able to route between 2 Vlans to be able to access the PCs in vlan 1 from vlan 2 and wise versa

View 4 Replies View RelatedI am currently tasked with setting up a network, pretty much from scratch, that requires some fairly hefty VLAN deployment. My hardware on hand (already existed so can't can't change anything easily) 5x ESW-540-48 Switches, 1x3750g switch, 1x2811 router. I don't believe the router should be required as the 3750 is capable of intervlan routing. [code]
Now at one point I actually had the VLAN's *working* in that I could specify an IP address and could ping to and from it! However DHCP wasn't passing despite numerous attempts with DHCP relay and IP-Helper configurations. Also I was having issues with VLAN 1 as the native VLAN, the ESW switches don't allow you to do much with them, as they 'weren't created by the user'. So tried switching that out to VLAN11 also but with very little success there (I had to change the native vlan on all trunks to VLAN 11)All the 10.x.x.x addresses need to be able to communicate with each other. All the ESW switches need to be able to handle their respective VLAN's as well as VLAN 1 (for Printers and wireless access points distributed around the building).
We have a server that we remove from the rack. The only role it has is to give out DHCP on the wireless network. I tried enabling the built in DHCP server on the Airespace 4112, though a Catalyst 3750G, but I dont get an address when I'm connected to the wireless network even though the range is enabled. If I set an static IP on my wireless card I can access the network. I also tried enabling DHCP on a Sonicwall that is connected to the Catalyst 3750G.
Do I need to link the DHCP scope to the wireless network? Is there anything on the switch that would be blocking DCHP since it on a VLAN? I have the last four ports in a VLAN for the AP's and the internet connection to the Sonciwall.
I am getting input errors/runts on 2 of my gigabit interfaces that connect to our WAN service provider's network. In relation to total packets, its not a large number, so its probably not a big deal, but I'd just like to find the source so I stop seeing the errors in Solarwinds. Our service provider says that they don't see any errors on their side, but the errors are incoming to us.
I've tried to capture the traffic with Wireshark, but discovered that often these packets are either discarded or padded by NICs so Wireshark will not see them, or at least will not see them as undersized.
Is there any other way I can capture these packets so I can find the source and figure out how to stop them? Our equipment is 3750G running 12.2(55)SE. Its not a trunk port. I know there was a bug in prior IOS that would cause some frames to be marked as runts even though they were forwarded successfully.
I have a WLC 3750 and use the web authentication method with the internal login-page. Now I would like to add a link to a PDF document which is supposed to be available before logging in. In other words: Clients connect to the W-LAN and get access to the login-page. They can download the PDF document (which has by the way a size of ca 10MB) from the login-page and after that they login to get access to the internet.
As far as I understood the manuals I won't be able to use the internal login-page because the size of a file is not allowed to be bigger than 1MB.So I thought about using the external authentication by using the webserver of my website. Unfortaunely the IP-Adress of my website doesn't work. Behind this IP-adress there's more than one website hosted. So I can't use my webserver either ...
Is there any other possibilty to add this PDF (size 10MB) on the login-page? Maybe I can add my website to a kind of a "pass through list" which is accessible even without authentication?
I have a couple of 3750G-24T-E switches running IOS 12.2 I would like to upgrade to IOS 15.x. Is this possible? Where do I find some information on the required licenses and costs? I must admit that the cisco search function did come up with a few pages but i was not able to extract the required information. I have not used the new software activation features yet.

We have 2 sites that are actually connected through a 10 Mbps cooper link.
In site A we have a 3750G- SW
in site B we have a 2960Poe SW
This link has in each end a ISP's router (allied Tele sis)
This link is working fine. Now we contracted with the ISP a new link, 30 Mbps fiber, and we need to replace de "old" one...
in this case the IPS only gave us a transceiver so we have UTP instead fiber, no routers. the 10Mbps and 30Mbps links in were hired to be layer 2 only.
Is possible to create a config in site B SW to make it work? I was searching and see this IOS command: spanning-tree link-type point-to-point. could this do the rick? Or is absolutely necessary to use a router?
P.S: Actual config of the port in use is:
Site A:
interface GigabitEthernet1/0/5
description description NEW LINK Fiber - UPLINK TO SW4
Site B:
interface GigabitEthernet0/1
description NEW - Fiber - UPLINK TO SW1

Here's the proposed network I have to work with: LAN A >> ASA Cluster >> 2x3750G Stack >> Cross-stack L3 Etherchannel (2x100Mb Circuits) >> 2x3750G Stack >> ASA Cluster >> LAN B Company policy governs that traffic between LAN A and LAN B must now be encrypted. ASA Firewalls have been purchased in advance and will be place into the network as above. Src-dst-ip load-balancing is currently in place on the Layer-3 Eherchannel. How can I encrypt the traffic using the ASAs and still ensure proper load-balancing over the circuits? I was about to configure a IPSec/GRE Tunnel between the ASA Clusters but I'm concerned that the tunnel will not be load-balanced over the ether channel based on the single source and destination IPs I will need to configure.
View 6 Replies View RelatedWe have installed a SRST in one of our remote offices. They have ISDN Primary, and we have a 6mb MPLS link to our main HQ with 400k of QoS on the line. During the day, both Internal calls over the MPLS and external calls over the ISDN break up, but it doesnt happen all the time, i.e in a day the morning will be ok, then the users experience the break ups in the afternoon, then its everything is ok again.
The only factor that the calls share is the Lan infrastructure i.e the 3750G switches (7) of them which are stacked. We did have MAC flapping errors, and our telecoms provider suggested that it maybe these causing the issues, however we have got rid of all MAC flap errors, and are still receiving voice break ups.
Because the Lan switches are the only "item" both calls share, I am wondering now if the setup of the switches is correct. [code]

View 2 Replies View RelatedI have just received a new Cisco 3750G Switch from my parent company. When attempting to install the switch, I discovered that it will not boot to CLI, only to the bootloader. After using the command boot, the switch attempts to boot the most current IOS version, but fails, stating "error loading XXXXXXXXXX.bin".
Obviously, I just need to get a functional version of the IOS onto the switch to boot, but the problem is exactly how can I do that? All (or most) the commands with which I am familiar are unavailable in the bootloader, so all methods known to me fail. Is there a simple way (maybe using the copy command?) to put the .tar or .bin file onto the flash?
I am trying to create an ACL that walls off a VLAN and only allows it to the internet. This is on a 3750G, currently the 3750G I am attempting this on is in a stack. I have another 3750G that is a standalone.
The first way I attempted this was to create two access-lists: access-list 101 permit tcp 10.249.1.0 0.0.0.255 any eq 80 access-list 102 permit tcp any 10.249.1.0 0.0.0.255 established
Let's call the 10.249.1.0 VLAN 2. I applied this to the VLAN2 interface, 101 out, 102 in. It didn't work. If I place a deny statement with nothing else, that works.
The second attempt was this: access-list 101 deny ip 10.249.1.0 0.0.0.255 any access-list 101 permit ip any any
I applied this to a VLAN I wanted to block VLAN2's traffic from reaching, let's call that one VLAN 3.
This lets all traffic from any VLAN (including the one I'm trying to block). If I remove the "permit ip any any", then all VLANs are denied. Which I understand is correct due to the implied deny all. What I don't understand is why it isn't applying the ACL to the specific VLAN.
I have a 3750G that used to be a Stack Master of a stack comprised of 2 identical switches. Since then, we have removed the stack from production, and I factory defaulted the stack MEMBER and that went fine. I just held the "Mode" button on the front until the lights all lit up and then issued the reload command and the switch came back with no configuration OTHER than the vlan database I issued the "del vlan.dat" command to no avail. I just manually removed all the vlans.
The stack MASTER on the other hand will NOT go back to factory defaults, and will also NOT erase the vlan database. Everything I try will NOT work. I've tried the following
1) Hold mode button & issue a reload after the lights start flashing
2) issue "Write Erase" then issue "reload"
3) issue "Write Erase", then issue "Write", then issue "reload"
4) issue "erase start" then issue "reload" (just in case the "write erase" command is being depriciated or something weird)
5) issue "erase start" then issue "copy run start" then issue "reload"
Is there a special way to reset a StackMaster back to factory defaults?
