I have a Cisco 3750G in stack, and the server is connecting to it with a 1GE NIC. How do I measure from Cisco prospective? Any tools available from Cisco to measure such respond time? I have a PRTG on bandwidth management on this particular server switchport and it is around 45-70Mbps, which is less than 10% of 1GE interface.

View 3 Replies View RelatedWe have an ACE Appliance in a DMZ and the ACE Appliance's Admin Context IP is translated between ACE and ANM. The ANM Server does not get translated. It is just the opposite then in another Community discussion.
Our Problem: When adding the ACE4710 Appliance to the ANM imported Device List, we use the ACE's NATed Admin Context IP. Import works well, but ANM reflects the Admin Context IP with it's real configured IP. Polling the ACE Appliance does not work therefore.
Is there a possibility of telling the ANM, that the ACE has to be polled through a NATed IP? I could not find a field to set a NATed Mgmt IP.
Configured IP on ACE Admin Context: 192.168.0.10
NATed ACE Admin Context IP: 172.16.0.10
Imported ACE with IP 172.16.0.10 into ANM, but ANM polls for Rserver, Vserver, Probes, etc. via 192.168.0.10 - which is not reachable from the ANM.
I have to install Prime LMS 4.2 on ESX customer infrastructure (ova image as soft appliance). The customer would like to know if LMS 4.2 is compatible with his backup agents :
* Symantec Veritas Netbackup (v7.1.0.2)
* Control-m (v6.4.01.300)
If not, what would be the best solution to backup the server ? Are the VMware tools supported now ?
I need to move our (secondary instance, version 5-2) ACS server to a different server rack and I have not been able to find a gentle way to shut down the appliance (not the windows version). Does one exist or is it just the power button/cord?

View 5 Replies View RelatedI'm due to replace a stack of 2 x 3750 switches very soon with 2 x 3750Gs. These 2 current switches are the VTP server for a small domain. I have put the config on the new switches switches and I made it a server and used the same VTP domain and password etc and got the VLAN info ported over.Now I did this a while back and noticed the switches are in transparent mode with a revision number of 0, I need to set this back to server and swap the switches out but the revision will be lower than the client switches (around rev 200), what do I need to do?

servers have 2NIC (1GBps) and both are bridged for redundant connections.In both switches all ports get green coluor except one port on Secondary SW. We are having some issues between our (2) Windows 2003 Storage servers and Windows 7 client machines. The issue that is occuring is that the users indicate they temporarily loose network connection to their mapped drives on these servers. This may happen several times a day. The regional manager wants to say it's a network issue but I believe it's something b/t the server and workstation.I like to know if there are some additional parameters, debugging or configuration that might be recommended to perform on our (4) Cisco 3750G-48port POE switches (stacked) that would determine that it's not a network issue. I do not see any errors or collisions on the ports that the servers are connected nor am I seeing much of anything wrong with the user ports. There are only 3 vlans at this office, vlan 30=users, vlan 20=servers, vlan 40=mgmt.

Time on the ACS is correct - local logging shows the correct time. Time on the syslog server is correct...all other devices/systems sending syslog messages to it are coming through with the correct time. why the ACS syslog messages would be 5 hours ahead?

I'm new to networking (at least at this level) and need some guidance. First, I have an Actiontec MI424WR (Rev. F) Coax Verizon Fios modem that I use as my home networking wireless router. From a LAN port on that I've connected a cable to the WAN port on my DIR-655 which acts as my gigabit office hard wire/wireless router. I need to keep the home network and the office network separate.All of my computers are Windows, either 7, Vista or XP.Connected to my Dir-655 on the office network are 2 wireless computers, a printer, an IOMEGA 1TB Home Personal Cloud NAS HDD, plus 2 desktop computers.The DIR-655 is set with a static IP address matching the range of the Actiontec. The DIR-655 is set for DHCP for the devices on the network (although 2 of the computers have static IP address).
When the DIR-655 had a Dynamic IP address set by the Actiontec, the IOMEGA NAS HDD kept losing connection with all the devices on the network. Only after I set the DIR-655 to static IP did that stop and everybody started to play nice. I'm not sure why that would make a difference, but it did.But regardless of whether it is set to dynamic or static, no computer on the network or program, even third party programs, can connect to ANY of the time servers out there... and I mean any of them. I've tried at least 20 or more of the standard and not so standard ones. The DIR-655's time is off, and it is set to get time automatically. None of my computers, or my IOMEGA NAS, can access time. The Actiontec, though, seems to be set correctly.Everything connects to the internet just fine. Web, email, auto product upgrades. Fine. So far it's just the time server thing which troubles.I done everything I know how to do to enable Port Forwarding through both routers for NTP > UDP 123 since that is the standard port for the Network Time Protocol, but I could have easily screwed that up.
I have access controls setup on my DIR-825 which work fine until there is a power outage and my router comes back up.I am using Automatic Time Configuration and have the NTP server set to ntp1 [URL]When the router comes back up I checked to make sure the NTP server option is still enabled, and it is, however the current time is totally wrong.To fix this I had to go to the pull-down, select 'ntp1.dlink.com' and then save the settings. After this the time is correct again.This is as bad as not having the Automatic Time Configuration option at all, since I can't guarantee that the power won't go out. I do not have a UPS hooked up to back up the router, nor do I see why I should need one if the Automatic Time Configuration actually worked.know if there is a way of making the Automatic Time Configuration reliable so the time on my router is automatically corrected when the power comes back up?

I've double checked with Active Directory, and he is a member of both groups.
This person SHOULD have access to Job searches/ and Restaurants,but receives a "content blocked" message on his browser.It appears to me that the settings in Sonicwall are correct, as well with AD member groups.
I have 4 computers (3 laptops, 1 desktop) in a shared office. We get internet access using their wireless network. All works fine. However, I need to share a printer amongst all of the computers. The printer is LAN enabled and I would normally just put all the PCs on a hub, together with the printer and share it that way. BUT my question is can we access the internet using the wireless network and the printer using a separate wired network at the same time?

I can connect to the Media Server from my xbox and laptop for an hour or so, and then all of a sudden it is gone. The only option I have is to reboot the router to bring it back online however not all of the music and videos are shown on the media server (yet).I uploaded quite a bit of music and video to the hard disk, I can initiate a scan but after a while the media server becomes unavailable / cannot connect to it.

I can login to console port and copy the error messages below. Reload the router and it will return back to normal operation. Re-installed IOS but still the same.

If you do not connect wireless device within 10 minutes, then you have to restart the router.You have assigned IP via wifi, and when you connect cable device to the router, the wifi PCs are disconnected.

I also have Qos Engine on for allowing me to have 2 xboxes on Open NAT.problem is my wireless signal for some wired reason is VERY weak. A while ago it used to work really far way outside. It was around 150ft distance at 4 bars. Now for some reason I can't even go upstairs without getting a 1 or 2 bar signal.
