This is happening to me to multiple computers on my domain. When it happens i can only log in as a local user or if I unplug the network cable, log in and then re-connect the networkThe time on all these machines is correct within at least 1 minute but still it's throwing off this error. When reading about this problem I see many fixes that all relate to how to sych the time on the PC.
View 1 RepliesI'm trying to get an HP laptop running Win7 to see a desktop running WinXP on my network (both wired and wireless) When I run the troubleshooter in Win7, it tells me "system clock does not match local time" as the reason. I have a Belkin wireless router attached to my cable router. I have updated the system clock via the internet on the desktop and checked the time setting in BIOS. These seem to match. I have googled around on this and can't find any accounts similar. My son's Vista laptop and the Win7 laptop have seen each other since day one. The laptop and desktop did see each other at one time, but the connection was lost after I went to a hotel and changed public network settings temporarily. I can ping the desktop from the laptop, but it times out when pinging the laptop from the desktop. I'm running an avast firewall on both, but can't see a problem there.

I have tried to manually connect to the router with correct security WPA-Personal (TKIP) and correct password but then the computer says "settings saved on this computer for the network do not match the requirements of the network".How can I get the computer to detect the correct security? We just purchased 3 new SGE2010P's and 2 SGE2000P's last week and delivered on Monday.It basically boils down to this. After configuring the system time and hitting Apply and the saving the Running config to the Boot Config and then Restarting the switch the time and date do not remain configured. It other settings but not the date and time.

even though I have successfully added the network manually, using the same settings as my other laptop which has no trouble connecting. So now, the network appears in my "Connect to a wireless network" box, but whenever I try to connect, it says "Windows cannot connect to *name of network*" So when I troubleshoot the problems, it states "Check your wireless settings. Make sure your computer is in range of *Network* and that the network settings match the wireless router or access point settings." I KNOW it's in range because my other computer is connected properly right next to this one. So it must be a problem with my network settings. Though I don't see how that can be because my settings on both computers are exactly the same, but one's connected and one's not. Could the problem simply be that I haven't logged on to my router online to add this computer to the network?

This is only for 2 desktop PCs with wired ethernet connections. Wireless devices are fine with no error message. The wired LAN PCs basically lose all network capability. Reboot fixed it, but it returned every time it was rebooted.I have a Virgin Media Superhub with another router configured as an access point. To cut a long story short, after trying to reset everything, re-installing network adapters & swapping ports, I decided to set the Superhub to Modem Mode, and re-configure the access point router to act as a standard wireless router. In other words renewing the whole network's LAN IP addresses.I now don't lose network capability, but the error message is still appearing on both wired LAN PCs. I use the Fing app on my android phone which lists IP addresses for all devices on the network, wired and wifi, and no 2 addresses are the same, which suggests that DNS is doing its job.

So i was going to install it on a rack in my server cabinet. does the server need to have a wan port and a lan port? Or how does the server get connected? So, so far its the cable modem into the clear os firewall and then into my switch. Is is possible to use the clear os server as the dhcp server for the whole house? From the switch I am going to connect the rest of my servers, and the rest of the house. I was going to connect two wireless routers for my house. Would that work with the clear os server?
