I can't able to recognize a system - all wifi clients lose connection. When this happens, the ping answer time rech the ~2000 times, then totally lose the connection, the SSID is dissapear - checking with my phone (android - wifi analyzer) and TL-WN822N USB wifi adapter (with the inSSIDer application). Meanwhile the cable clients and the WAN connections works fine, didn't experience anything.If I restart the wifi service with the hardware on/off button, it runs well for some time.This problem appeared when I used the two older official firmware too.
I tried the auto-chanel function width auto channel width, tried to manually set up one of the less interfered channels with both 20MHz and 40MHz channel width, but none of them bring the solution.The intresting thing is, if I change the router with an old D-Link DI-604, the signal is weak, but the wifi connection is stable, with the same TL-WN822N adapter.I tried to guarantee the router, but after two weeks, my reseller said, it looks ok, they - at the TP-Link service - didn't find anything.
My old system developed a stutter. It would freeze for a half-second at a time in short bursts. The stutter would appear off and on at random, and went on for a good year, coming and going. I couldn't locate the source, but it seemed to get worse when either the graphics card or the sound were called on heavily. Near the very end, the hard drive started getting corrupted, more and more swiftly. I had to replace my machine.So I created new, a fresh, home-built system:
* Asus P8 Z68-V motherboard
* Intel i5-2500k
* 16 GB RAM
* Radeon 6850
* 465 GB WD platter hd
* 128 GB SSD with a fresh install of Windows 7
After completing the installation of Windows, I brought over my old DVD drive, my old wireless card, and my old hard drive. I copied my old data to the new drive, and was relieved that I was able to do so successfully. Almost immediately, I began to get the stutter again! I did some troubleshooting, and discovered that the stutter went away when I pulled out my wireless card. I tried switching it to a different PCI slot, but the same thing continued. When I was able to test the machine with an ethernet cable plugged directly into a router, the stutter was gone. I bought a fresh wireless card, but the same thing happened immediately.
I have a wireless card that causes my Inspiron 5100 to lock up about once a day. I have tried 3 different types of cards (Netgear, Microsoft, Dell) all with the same result. I have a laptop cooler because I thought that the heat might be causing the problem - not the case. If I leave the wireless card out the lockup does not happen.
On a side note...I have tried to update the BIOS on my computer. When I download what seems to be the appropriate file, it tells me that I don't have the appropriate file.
I'm using an nvidia ethernet card that's in my mobo. Yesterday I had internet without any problems but this morning when I turned my computer on, the light on it wasn't blinking. Tried turning power on/off, unplugging and pluhging back but still no solution.Checked Device Manager and there is no (!) or (?) next to the device name. Also it says device is working properly. Even did the "scan for hardware changes" and again it shows that device is working properly.. But that's not all! The weirdest thing here is that my 3 neighbours who are from the same ISP have the exact same problem. We're connectrd to 1 box that is outside. The other part of the village that is on the same ISP has no such problems. So I'm wondering if it's a local corrupt cable problem or our cards have fried. I believe we use fiber optic cables.

View 3 Replies View RelatedAfter reinstalling Vista, Vista does not recognize my wireless network. I know that the wireless network is working because my i-Touch and my blue-ray (internet streaming) still are working with the Cisco/Linksys E2000. I made sure that the wireless switch on my Gateway laptop was in the on position. The wireless hardware does not show up in the hardware control panel. Is this a driver issue or a hardware issue? It does not seem that it would be a hardware problem.
My Gateway is still under warranty thru Best Buy. If it's a hardware problem, it's covered but if it's a software problem(I take it that a driver would be software), they want $100 to fix. This is what brings me to a second question, if it's a driver issue, should I just upgrade to Window 7? Does Window 7 have build in drivers for wireless hardware?

View 2 Replies View RelatedI have recently installed a new wireless network in my home. All my internet devices (Laptops, PS3, iPad etc.) have been able to acess the new network but my old Dell XPS 600 with its Dell 1450 wireless card cannot "see" the new network. When I refresh available networks in wireless connections the old XPS 600 can see various networks (neighbours etc.) but cannot recognise the new network even though its working fine with my other PCs
Do I need to upgrade the Dell 1450 wireless card ? If so what am I missing - what requirements do I miss? Which card should I buy?
I have a Linksys WRT110 wireless router that has never given me any problem. All of the sudden, after a storm blew through yesterday, none of the laptops in my house (PC running Vista and Mac) will recognize my wireless network. I have a desktop computer and BluRay player hardwired to the router and the internet works fine on them through the router.The problem is not that I can't connect or lose connection, the wireless network isn't showing up as existing anymore, like it has disappeared.

It is a WPA encrypted network. I have also tried shutting off the firewall on my computer without any change. My laptop doesn't even recognize the network - i tried to manually add the network to my computer but it still won't come up on my list of active networks.
View 1 Replies View RelatedOne moment the laptop was using the wireless connection from the router in our house and the next it lost internet access and then wasn't able to recognize the SSID or connection at all on the available wireless connections. We have reset the router and restarted the laptop countless times yet the only internet access we have is on the computer the router is hooked up to.The wireless connection works neither on the laptop nor the Wii, both previously works merely hours ago and with no problems until now.We assume there is an issue with the router itself, whether it be a loose ethernet cord (which only faintly can be moved in its place).It's almost as if the router is stopping them (Wii, and laptop) from having access. When we explore the wireless internet properties on the laptop, it shows the wireless connection, yet only there and doesn't give access to it. Could it be the router, or could the company have restricted WiFi only to the computer it is hooked up to?

After using my 2 TB WD network storage device on other systems both wirelessly and via an ethernet connection, I decided to install the device on a new system via a wired connection. Unfortunately, my computer (WIN XP) won't recognise the device when using a direct connection though my talk talk supplied D-LINK wireless router. I have contacted WD and talktalk and gone through all the diagnostic processes but it still won't recognise the device. I have been able to connect this device through an older D-LINK router (still wireless) on the same talk talk ISP with no problems so I can't understand why it won't connect here. The WD device reports no problems but I can't access it, even when all firewall and AV programs are disabled.
