I would like to install the LMS 4.1 (EVAL-LMS-41), the evaluation one, and want to know what are the minimum and recommended requirements for a Windows machine.
View 1 Replies View RelatedI'm running LMS 4.0 as an evaluation and I'm only discovering 86 devices, using the auto discovery. I've added a seed and although it sees lots of neighbours on that seed it only goes on to discover devices off a particular range. All the devices are set up the same way (standard config) so it should see them as well.
I know it has a limit on the number of managed devices of 100, and I could understand if it hit 100 and then stopped. We have around 500 devices in total (not including phones, DMPs, etc).
I've just added the seed and selected cdp as discovery method and set the snmp target as *.*.*.*. Is there anything else I should be doing?
I've setup a Cisco Secure ACS server 5.1 in VMware ESXi everything seems to be working fine, however under the options for Policy Elements > Authorization and Permissions > Device Administration > Command Sets there is a command called "DenyAllCommands" that was there when i first installed the ACS. Is there any way to remove this? When I try to remove it i get an error that thats it can't be removed or modified. I'm writing a report on the Cisco ACS for university, if this is a limitation of the evaluation licence I will need to reference it. If this is a limitation and provide a link to a cisco page that confirms this.
View 2 Replies View RelatedCisco release the Cisco Prime LMS 4.1 on Aug. 2011. I download the lms4.1 from cisco and install it, but the lms4.1's evaluation license expire date is Oct. 28 2009. So my license already expired after I install the LMS4.1.

When I do show license all I notice I have an evaluation of IP SERVICES image (see output below). Can I use this evaluation license? Would it be same as the full license or would it have limited functionality? Also, how do I make it the active license?

I have 50 SSL Premium licenses on my ASA 5520 running 8.4. I want to run Anyconnect on IPAD- and IPHONE-devices but it seems that this requires a Mobile-license on top of the premium-license. Is it possible to receive an evaluation-license for this? It will take a few days to receive permanent licenses and I want to user this now.

I had called Gold Support last week and was asked to download/install the driver from the support downloads site and then download/install the patch as well. The bluetooth manager does not come up when this popup shows.
I have an RV042 setup for quick vpn access.The remote computer in question is a win 7 64bit. The PC uses McAfee SAAS firewall. This disables the windows firewall.
1. I can connect to the vpn with SAAS disabled and windows firewall enabled.
2. I cannot connect to the vpn with both windows firewall and SAAS disabled.
3. I cannot run SAAS and windows firewall together to check if this would work.
I need to figure out what windows firewall is doing to allow the vpn to connect, and so how do this with windows firewall disabled. I can then leave the windows firewall disabled and enable McAfee SAAS.The message quickvpn provides when it fails to connect is that the remote gateway is not responding. The client logs show that the tunnel had been opened but it was unable to ping.
My new Windows 8 computer is not wi-fi capable, I bought the adapter but it only works with Windows 7, they have a link to upgrade to Windows 8 but I don't know where to go from there.

We have a working configuration for L2TP-IPSec connection from a native Windows XP client to the ASA 5510. When trying to set up a connection from a Windows 7 client, the connection fails with the message that all SA proposals are unacceptable? Is this coexistence possible, and what parameters would I have to change to get this working. I have understood that the Windows 7 client requires som higher security proposals, but have not found what these are. And at the sam time we are concerned about not destroying the VPN connection for our existing XP clients.

View 1 Replies View RelatedWe have a network of approximately 20 computers, network printers, and one Windows 2003 Server (used simply as a file server). I have an issue with two specific Windows 7 Pro workstations that just will not logon. The username and password details we're using are correct, but the server rejects them. I can logon using the same account from any other Windows 7 Pro workstation, or Windows XP station, so I know the issue is specific to the two workstations communicating with the server.
Both afftected stations show Logon attempted by: MICROSOFT_AUTHENTICATION_PACKAGE_1_0 error 0xC000006A which all searches on Google point towards incorrect login credentials, however I've tried plenty of perfectly valid login credentials and they don't work either.I've tried checking that the 128bit option on the Windows 7 machines is disabled in file sharing etc.

View 2 Replies View RelatedI have a win xp laptop which connects via wireless to a cheap belkin router I have a Win 7 pro laptop which is hardwired to the router. The Win 7 machine is NOT set up for home groups. We are all on the same workgroup.
I have added the user name from the XP machine to the Win 7 pro machine with admin rights. I shared a folder on Win 7 and added the user name and gave read/write rights. I have no software firewall.
When I try to connect via win explorer via the workgroup I see the Win 7 machine (after 10 seconds). I see 'User' folder which I can browse and I see the folder that I shared but I can't access it. Access denied...

View 1 Replies View RelatedMy Win7 laptop was unable to ping another WinXP within the same network. When I first got this Win7 laptop, I experienced this problem. The WinXP laptop has no problem pinging the Win7 system. A visiting friend changed the setting on the Win7 laptop and suddenly the two laptops were able to talk to each other. I wiped the WinXP laptop a few weeks ago. Since then, the Win7 laptop is again unable to ping the WinXP. I have googled for many hours now. I tried just about all the methods that make sense to me but still cannot ping from Win7 to WinXP. How I can reestablish communication between these 2 systems on the same network?

I can however ping the windows 2008 r2 server. Using the servers ip of 192.168.1.230 Another thing is I cannot also remote to the server on the internal LAN. Using RDP.I ve even tried with firewalls turned off on the server for some mins.

CISCO 2811 router.
Windows 7 64bit
CISCO Client 5.0.07.0440 64bit
HP Probook 4530s - 4 GB ram; Core i5
The issue is we recently purcahsed new laptops for our inspectors. They where running Windows XP 32 bit with CISCO Client 5.0.01 and every thing worked fine. When I upgraded them to the new laptops I am having issues with the VPN. The symptom is that the VPN connects ok and you can download files from the servers ok but when you try to up load a file that is larger than 80 KB it hangs on "Discovering Items..." then times out. What I have tried is:I hooked one of the laptops into the LAN and connect the VPN and the uploads work fine.I setup a SoHo router in our DMZ and hook the laptop to it and I have the problem my users are having at home as described above.Tryed truning off all Windows Fire Walls. -> Fails on upload.Tryed stopping the "Indexing Service". -> Fails on upload.Updated the CISCO client to the latest version. -> Fails on upload.Removed Anti-Virus. -> Fails on upload.Used IP addresses in place of FQDN. -> Fails on upload.We have other Windows VIST 32bit computers and they do not have these problems with their VPN. These are our first 64bit computers. I really do not want to down grade to Windows 7 32bit.I can make the running config available upon request but I doubt that is the issue being that our other computers are working fine but if there is something I need to do with the tunnel to get around this issue, I am game.
Im trying to setup 802.1x with ACS 5.2 but am struggling as its very differnet to ACS 4.2.I have setup the ACS to be the domain and think i have setup up the External Idnetity Store, however when i try to authenticate a pc using authentication Medthod 'PEAP (EAP-MSCHAPv2), i get a failure reason '22056 Subject not found in the applicable identity store'

View 1 Replies View RelatedI am trying to lab up an ACS5.2 with windows 2003 AD for PEAP authentication. But my ACS does not join the AD and throws an error "can not resolve network address". But when i do an nslookup on ACS CLI , the same domain wireless.abc.com is returning with the IP address of my AD. I think i am missing something in windows AD/DNS configs here as i am not a windows AD expert.
1) My AD domain is wireless.abc.com. In my DNS, i have a zone called wireless.abc.com. and i have added "New Host" in that DNS zone with the "name" as blank and providing IP address of my AD (AD and DNS are on same windows installation) . Is this the right way to do ?
2) I should be entering "wireless.abc.com" in the ACS active directory domain name field and do test connection. right ?
Does WCS 5.0 run on Windows 2008 Server. Does it run on a 32 or 64-bit OS? The WCS datasheet does specify that it can be easily installed on VMware Systems. Does it mean it can be virtualized.
