Cisco Routers :: RV180W Add Access Point With Roaming Support?

Oct 20, 2012

I have a customer with a RV180w running the latest firmware.  We are currently using the router as a router and to provide wireless access.  We want to add wireless coverage and I am interested in our options.  We have a ethernet backbone which we could use to give the new AP LAN connectivity.  Can we buy another RV180W and use it in AP mode and provide roaming wireless connectivty.  The client wants a guest and business WLAN so we will use the VLAN feature of the router.  How do we configure the new AP?  Do we need to use WDS?   If we use WDS, can we still use WPA2?

Cisco Routers :: Remote VPN Access To RV082 From ISR 2900

Oct 23, 2012

I have a customer that has a Cisco 2900 Series ISR on his Headquarters, and has some branches with RV082s.We have VPN Client configured on the 2900 ISR Router and we can connect remotely using the VPN Client to the Headquarters (192.168.1.0)  however we can't reach the branches subnets (192.168.2.0, 192.168.3.0, etc.)... we found out that in the RV082 you need to specify the secure traffic as a destination, but in only supports one network (192.168.1.0 or Headquarters in this case), we can't specify the VPN Client pool defined on the ISR so it can reach the incoming VPN Clients. Is there any way to accomplish this? We need to access the branches subnets when connecting using VPN to the 2900 ISR.

Cisco Routers :: Remote Access Configuration On SRP527W

Feb 20, 2013

I'm using SRP527W router at the moment and there are 10 PCs in the office.First of all, I'm not expert on network administration at all.Anyway, I set up remote access for particular PC and it works good.I made it like this.Add "Port Forwarding Entry" in Network Setup > NAT > Port Forwarding menu.

- Type: Single Port Forwarding
- External Port: 3389
- Internal Port: 3389
- Protocol: TCP and UDP
- IP Address: 192.168.0.20

I need to set up another remote access for another PC (IP: 192.168.0.25).I'm not quite sure I can use 3388 port for remote access. However, I added another "Port Forwarding Entry"

- Type: Single Port Forwarding
- External Port: 3388
- Internal Port: 3388
- Protocol: TCP and UDP
- IP Address: 192.168.0.25

However, it doesn't work.when I tested internal network(use private IP -192.168.0.25:3389), it works fine. But when I tried through the Internet (use public IP 202.171.xxx.xxx:3388), it returns "Remote Desktop can't connect to ...." message. How can I open 3388 port in router administration colsole(Services Ready Platform Configuration Utility)?

Routers / Switches :: Can't Access Remote System

Aug 19, 2011

I am trying to connect to my office PCs via VPN and/or RDP. The office uses Qwest DSL and has a dynamic IP address. I use DynDNS.org to keep the DNS updated with the WAN address of the router. However, any attempt to access the network fails. I have tried remote management access (I enabled it on the router) but that fails. I forwarded RDP ports on the router to one of the PCs but can't connect to it. I also set up a VPN server but cannot connect to it either. Something tells me that all requests to myoffice.homeip.net are not getting to my modem/router. I have even tried the IP associated with the name (Yes, I did check that it is correct!) but nothing works there either.

Which Remote Support Software To Purchase For A 50+ User Base

Jan 15, 2013

I am currently trying to decide on the best remote support software to purchase for a 50+ workstation business. I have experimented with Real VNC and TeamViewer, and whilst they are quite comparable I noticed that TeamViewer has a feature called "Seamless Windows" I will be providing remote support to local users, and several interstate branches - therefore the software that I decide on must accommodate a wide diversity of geographical locations.I was also looking at a product called GoverLAN, but it seems to me that GoverLAN only works on a single LAN and can't be used over a WAN in a similar way to both RealVNC & TeamViewer?

Should i put routing from outside 1.1.1.2 to 192.168.10.x by using 192.168.100.1 as a gateway?
