We have Nexus 7009 switch and want to configure the span session
 
We are using F2 and M2 card both are in seperate differeent VDC.And out server is connected to M2 card on eth 4/6 and want to monitor the traffic from vlan 161Which is made on F2 card.
 
Connectivity is like this.

Cisco Switching/Routing :: Phone Connects To 3750-A / Nexus 5596 Does Not Support RSPAN

the phone connects to the 3750-A access layer switch (VTP mode client) which connects to the nexus 5596  (The nexus is the layer 3 device and set to vtp mode server) and finally we have a Voice recorder that connects to another access layer 3750-B switch.(VTP mode client)

 For voice recording I need to setup RSPAN and the nexus5596 does not support  RSPAN will the following have any impact on the nexus
 
IF I move the 3750-B to VTP server mode and run the command remote span on the VLan I need to Rspan its going to update the VTP data base in short it will update the vlan.dat file for all the switch in that VTP domain.
 
AS the vtp update reaches the nexus saying there is a change (keeping in mind the nexus does not support rspan not sure hows its going to handle that request and how its going to update its vlan.dat file)
 
Is it going to incremment the VTP revision number? can it crash the vlan.dat file  on the nexus ? or do nothing and ignore the update and stop the update from proceeding to the 3750 A switch?

Cisco Switching/Routing :: 3560 PoE / RSPAN Causing Instability

We are trying to configure RSPAN at one of our sites in order to record voice calls using CallRex. We have it working successfully at another site using RSPAN (smaller site with 4x 3560 PoE switches), but when trying to set it up at this site, it causes "instability" for the voice network to say the least (some phones display one-way audio, UCM down message on the phone...not good). The calls are actually recording successfully on the CallRex server, but we cannot leave the RSPAN config in place due to the issues it causes. As soon as the RSPAN commands are removed, everything behaves normally. Here is the relevent config: 
 
EDGE Switch 1 (Cisco 2960-48LPS):

The config is pretty stright-forward, but as mentioned above, is causing major problems when turned up.CPU / memory levels are normal. Nothing shows up in the sh log on either the Edge or Core switches.

we have 2 3560 switches and want to use RSPAN to monitor different source ports.I checked thorugh the cisco feature navigator and the IOS we have on 3560 has the RSPAN fature listed in them.

I have a RSPAN session configured between a Cisco 3750 and Cisco 2950 switches and I dont see the traffic I am expecting to see on the destination port. I only see broadcast traffic .. HRSP hellos etc. Below is what I have configured on both switches.

Ive created the vlan 33 on my core switch and  remote SPAN VLANs 133 Core switch is vtp server so i double checked on all switch and vlan 33 and 133 are present When i listen to conversation with wireshark we are only recoding voice of the one who is answering and we don't hear the other person talking?

I'm going to replace a Cat6513 with a Nexus 7018.  In my Cat6513, there are object tracking config as follows:

Seems can't associate a track object to a static route in Nx-OS?

I am trying to bridge the traffic(including different vlan traffic) from rtrA to rtrB using "bridge-group" functionality.I achived the same using a 7200 using the below configuration. [code] When I tried the same using 7600 router ping failed between rtrA and rtrB. Then from the documents it seems "bridge irb" is not supported in 7600.Is there any other way we can achieve the same fuctionality ( eg: using switchport also fine) ?

I am having problems with IGMP and QoS on CAT6500 platform with SUP720 engine.The problem is, it seems that all IGMP packets are getting marked with DSCP 48 when sent out of the switch regardless of any input service policy. I found several articles saying that PFC QoS does not apply to IGMP packets. However in IOS 15 that should be possible, but I didn't get it to work there either. [code]

Uhg.  I deployed a 3560G a week ago and it was crashing... so I replaced it Sep 7 around 16:00 and now this one is crashing.  Different logs.

We have 2 x C6506E and 2 x C3560-48's, they are all interconnected via port channels at 2Gb per channel. The 6506's are running CEF but the 3560's are not (The 3560's carry all our server traffic).When I do a show CEF on the 3560's it says %IPv4 CEF not running. There does not appear to be a global command to enable CEF on these switches.Is this an IOS version option or is not supported on the hardware platform?

Cisco Switching/Routing :: 3560G 15.0(2)SE - Show Platform Forward Command Crashes Switch?

I have been working on some Catalyst 3750's running 12.2(55)SE6 and hit an issue with CEF load-balancing over multiple equal-cost paths.  Anyway this issue is now solved but it introduced me to the command 'show platform forward' - this shows you how the forwarding of a packet would be done via hardware cef (as opposed to the command 'sho ip cef exact-route' command that only shows the software cef path).  Anyway I tried the command on a 3560G running 15.0(2)SE and it crashes the switch.  I tried it a couple of times and verified that the MAC & IP addresses were exactly right in the command and each time the switch crashes. I have extracted the relevant bits from the crashinfo and attached them.

I did not find a layout like this in the manuals. i cant find any difference in these two devices when i am trying to compare throughput.I need upgrade our new POP and there will be around 4900 MAC adresses in VLAN 150 and 130 MAC adresses in vlan 200.Uplink is 1 gig routed internet connection and there is 14 downlinks to separate villages.i found a few differences for eg stack interface on 3750x but i dont need it.

I have a stack of 2 x 3750X switches these are running 12.2(55)SE5. I needed to add some static IP routes and found that the ‘ip routing’ command is not supported. I came across a document that stated “On switches running the LAN base feature, static routing on VLANs is supported only with Cisco IOS Release 12.2(58)SE and later.” So I have upgraded to 12.2(58)SE2, but ‘ip routing’ is still not a valid command.
 
The release notes state:“On the Cisco Catalyst 3560-X and 3750-X Series, it adds support for 16 static IPv4 routes in the LAN Base image.”
 
I have read other posts that talk about running the ‘sdm prefer routing’ command which I have done, but I am still unable to add any routes or run the ‘ip routing’ command.

I have an 1811 with several subnets connected to it.I recently installed a 3750x plant and want to bring my interior routing back to it.
 
All the routing is handled by the 1811 via secondary interfaces on vlan1?
 
I have 192 ports, and subnets show up on almost all of them.  None of the ports are assigned to any specific vlans.  Most ports have several subnets on them.
 
What is the best approach to getting the 3750x to handle the routing?

I am setting up a vm environment for a customer in my lab off site. I have two stacked 3750-x switches, a san, and threes UCS c220 M3S servers for hosts. I am trying to separate the lan traffic, san iscsi traffic, and san management traffic using vlans. The problem is i'm unable to communicate cross vlan with my current config, which I have attached to this post. The only noteworthy things in my conifg is that the ip route 0.0.0.0 0.0.0.0 192.168.83.6 is referring to a switch stack they have on site, that I will connect this stack to using the first two trunk ports on each switch, that I do not have here in the lab. I don't want to cause any confusion in why I have things set a certain way.

Why does my 3750x-12s switch say it's not supported in CNA??? I upgraded to CNA 5.7.1 and still says unsupported. This device is supported or I'm just missing something.I use CNA heavily to manage our MANY vlans.
