Oct 2, 2012I have a Catalyst WS-C3750X-24T-S with two power supply C3KX-PWR-440WDC, each of these power supply have two input to deliver 440 W, my question is: Can I use only one Input in each power supply to power up the switch?, I know that I dont going to get the total power of 440W, but the power delivers by the supply with one input circuit is enough to power up the switch condidering that the switch are not PoE and only have 24 ports?.

Aug 9, 2012We have WS-C3750-24FS switches stacked supporting users on our LAN. I want take advantage of the netflow capabilities of the WS-C3750X using the C3KX-SM-10G card.
Would I be to see netflow data coming from the WS-C3750's if I stacked it with the WS-C3750X?
Also I read that the C3KX-SM-10G card would support a 1G SFP is that correct?

Jul 29, 2012I have a 3750-x switch with module C3KX-NM-10G. In slots 1 and 3 I have GLC-T inserted, no problem. When I try to insert GLC-T into slots 2 or 4, I receive the log messages that are listed below. I can swap/mix and match different GLC-T's in slots 1,2,3, and 4, the SFP's are recognized every time in slots 1 and 3, and are never recognized in slots 2 or 4.
Slots 2 and 4 also double as the Ten Gig interfaces, which we are not using right now.Is there some trick to getting the switch to recognize SFPs in slots 2 and 4? [code]

Jun 4, 2013I have C3750X with C3KX-NM-10G, and have-T SFP in slot 3 ( means it is not in SFP+ slot ).I need to set speed&duplex hard to 100/Full, but if I do the link goes down. I have the same settings on the other side, only IOS version is different.I tried other speeds - 10 and 1000, but no one works with Full. When I change duplex to Auto it works fine.The reason why I am doing this on C3KX-NM-10G is because I need to use NetFlow and cannot use the chassis' copper port. At the moment the ports are connected through a copper patch cord, but in full production there will be a radio link in between that requires 100M/Full to be set hard.I am trying to search for any document that would describe this limitation, but cannot find any. Also port capabilities do not indicate duplex could not be set to full:

Cisco Switching/Routing :: RJ45 - Getting Expanded C3KX-NM-1G Module?
Dec 29, 2011A product I could have used a number of times is a expanded version of the C3KX-NM-1G device module. To include 2 or maybe 4 more SFP ports. From the layout behind the faceplate there is plenty of space which additional circuit boards could be placed, (which is used in the 2 port 10GB version). I don't need the 12 port fiber switch that Cisco has, because I need a few RJ45 connection at that location, which I would then have to buy additional Fiber to coper Gbics for a few connections where the switch is at. The reason I need something like this is I have a few locations which I get a main feed from the City fiber, then it gets sent out to a number of local buildings on my fiber. Maybe another option is to take the 12port switch, and have an option for 6 rj45 and 6 sfp connections.

May 12, 2012I am trying to connect tow 3560X using a fiber cable (MM)I have C3KX-NM-10G in both switches (4 ports module)I have GLC-SX-MM in both switches (connected to G1/1)both switches are able to see & recognize the NM as well as the SFP.
Fiber Cable is tested Fiber Patch Cord also tested both ports configured as a trunks but also the switches are not able to see each other (even when I removed the trunks configuration from both of them)CDP neibour is showing nothing no links & no LED blink in any switch both switches are running c3560e-universalk9-mz.122-55.SE3 IOS?
There is no any other configuration in both switches.

Sep 5, 2012our network is spread over 15 floors and each floor we have 5-6 switches. we are planning to purchase cat3750-x 24 ps poe with C3KX-NM-10G network modules. Each floor has two up links to the core switch with single mode fiber and other being the multimode.Suppose if we are purchasing 75 switches do we have to purchase 75 C3KX-NM-10 G modules.? or can we limit our purchase with 15 C3KX-NM-10G sothat two uplinks from each floor can be made? since network modules are optional cost factor is invovled. Or any issue with stacking ? the SFPs will be LR and LRM MODULES.looking for an answer ? whether the new usb type console cable comes bundled with cat350x or shall we have to order separately?

Can I install sfp+ If I want to use copper for Uplink at 10 Gbps, I just need to install one SFP-H10GB-CU5M transceiver ???? the other SFP slot is disabled automatically?
in the other side 3750X in order to support copper at 10 Gbps a C3KX-NM-10G network module is considered, this will be connected to SW3750E by means of SFP-H10GB-CU5M.
The second 3750X will be connected to second twinGig Adapter of 3750E using another SFP-H10GB-CU5M transceiver.

Jan 5, 2013I'm experiencing strange issue with my WS-C3750X-48T-S.
Model number: WS-C3750X-48T-S
System image file is "flash:/c3750e-universalk9-mz.122-55.SE3/c3750e-universalk9-mz.122-55.SE3.bin"
This switch is situated on a remote site and on the 6th of January it was rebooted.
I still do not know the cause, but it might be power outage or smth. We are still checking. After the reboot I've noticed that one port on this cisco switch is in 'notconnect' state, while I'm pretty sure it should be 'connected'.
I've tried to shutdown the port adminstratevly and do the 'no shutdown' but this port remained in 'disable' state.

Nov 24, 2011I want to deploy the C3750X 24-port SFP switch as the core switch in a large Layer 2 switching domain.The switch will need to run:
+/- only 10 large VLANs, 6 VLANs with HSRP
+/- 500 MACs total
+/- 5 OSPF sessions default timers
standard PVST+ (no Rapid PVST+)i need around 27 SFP ports (24 + 4 on network module=28=ok, extra capacity by stacking)
Looking at the switching capacity of the specs (160 Gbps) this is much better than a C6500 with SUP32-GE !Will it be able to handle this or should i look for C6500+SUP32GE or C6500-SUP720 or maybe even C4500 ?

Feb 12, 2012First of all I purchased the switches with part no. WS-C3750X-48P with the following IOS c3750e-universalk9-mz.150-1.SE1 & IOS feature license to work as ipservice.
Symptoms:
1) - When running the switches in stack mode (connecting the booth switch with full-duplex stack) I found the cpu utilization on each switch reached to 34% The Hulc LED Process reaches to 20%
3) - After about 1 hour with no connections to the switch I found the status not changed.
4) - I tried to run each switch in stand-alone mode (without stack cables connected) & monitor the status of the cpu utilization. I found it the same problem exist. Actions taken:
1) - Refereeing to the internet I found a bug ID describing the status of the mentioned symptoms (attached)
2) - I made a down grade for the IOS version to be c3750e-universalk9-mz.122-58.SE2.bin
3) - The mentioned IOS solved the Hulc LED Process (became 1 : 3 % ) & however cpu utilization became 18% with no links or traffic connected to the switches.
4) - I guess that 18 % utilization is too much for a free switch (refer to the show run file) as I did not configure any advanced commands.

Jun 3, 2012I just loaded the web interface IOS on a C3750X. The first thing I noticed was there was basically no web interface. I can look at things, and do default configurations on ports, but it doesn't appear I can configure VLANs or QoS or anything like that.
Am I missing something, or is this just how the web interface functions?

Mar 10, 2013In my MDF I have a 4stack of the WS-3750-48P switches. Is it possible to replace one with a C3750X48PF-S with out causing any issues? Or would it be better to just have 3 stacked and trunk this one to the core 4506. Keeping in mind I bought this one to expand the port number for one of our remote offices.. I would hate to send them the gig switch when there isn't as much usage..Besides if I can get my CFO on this switch he might authorize me to replace the rest... He is reticent to believe it makes really all that much of a difference.

We did several times with 12.2.58SE1 and SE2, sometimes the power stack is created automatically, sometimes needs to be configured manually. Looks like the behavior is not the same. Maybe it depends on the number/type of switches and number/type of power supplies.

Jan 27, 2013We have a new backbone in our LAN with two C3750X-24S 15.0(1)SE3. Since we change the model of our equipment we can't update NTP on this two switches.We try to update NTP with two firewall Juniper SSG-140 in version 6.3.0r12.0. The two switchs never arive to associate with firewall (we try with the comme ntp server and ntp peer)
So we configure ntp server on our distribution servers switchs (one 4900 12.2(54)SG and one stack of 3750G and 3750E 12.2(50)SE5). They have no problem to update NTP on the firewal.So we change our configuration ntp server on the backbone and we try to update it with the distributions servers switchs. With the command ntp server it doesn't work. With the commande ntp peer it works but not everytime. The core switchs are in "synchronized" state then "unsynchronized" then "synchronized" etc...When they are in "unsynchronized" state there is "x falseticker" raison behind the IP of the ntp peer.
Is it an IOS version problem on our core switch?
