Cisco VPN :: VPN Client 5.0.07.0290 Connection Required

I am running Windows XP SP3 and when I attempt to log into my work network I get CVPND/0xA340000D. The virtual adapter was not recognized by the operating system. I've done tons of googling without any clear direction was to what the problem might be. I've uninstalled and reinstalled twice.

We do some remote work for our customers and often have to use their VPN in order to connect to their systems. We have had no problem utilizing the Cisco VPN with some of our customers unti recently. We picked up another customer that uses the Sonicwall VPN. If I sign onto the Sonicwall client, sign off, and sign into the Cisco VPN client, at the point that it makes the connection, it completely locks up my users' PCs. It happens to all of them.
I've discovered that from a fresh boot, I can get on and off the Cisco VPN all day, but as soon as I utilize the Sonicwall VPN, and then return to the Cisco VPN, it locks up every time.
All of my machines are Windows 7 and are using the Cisco VPN Client Version 5.0.07.0290.

I am having this problem trying to connect to my university network trough the vpn client from a pc running Windows 7 Ultimate 64-bit: the client connects but I have no Internet access. I first believed that the problem was related to the fact that I had ZoneAlarm Free Antivirus+Firewall installed, but I made several steps, including the complete removal of the ZoneAlarm product, and I still have the same problem.

Using the same client (32 bit version) in another pc of my lan which runs Windows XP and that had never ZoneAlarm installed on it, I have no problems.Also, using Shrew Soft Vpn Client 2.1.7 on the problematic pc I can connect to vpn without problems, so I am really stuck trying to understand what's wrong with Cisco Vpn Client.

I have a client that is getting disconnected quite frequently from our VPN Concentrator and in looking at the server I cna find no issues or cause for the disconnect. his ping to the concentrator never fails, but yet is disconnects. I have hundreds of remote VPN clients connecting to the same concentrator without issues.

User is connecting to 5508, running 7.0.116.0. Previously worked on another AP. TV (client) is set to use dhcp. As other posts have mentioned, "DHCP Addr. Assignment" checkbox is not checked for this wlan, but I also switched it to Required for this wlan but it did not make any difference. Seems to be a problem with just this client as many other clients are on this AP with no problems.
Users have to register their MAC to get on our wireless system, but there is no encyption or security enabled once the device has been registered.

I upgraded to ASA 9, and asdm 7, everything went perfect except AnyConnect IKEV2 doesnt work anymore, I have a lot of errors under my event viewer:

I am unfortately the only IT staff now for 100 - 150 users in my organization besides a consultant who doesn't have an answer for this issue even though he sold us the hardware and environment. While I realize that this version of the Cisco VPN doesn't support Windows 7, we do have some Windows 7 PC's that have the software and work perfectly fine upon install. In this case, I am at a remote location with both a Windows XP SP3 and Windows 7 SP1 computer. Both have the same Cisco client installed and connect to our ASA5520. I cannot get DNS resolution out of this computer to any remote network resources or other domains such as cnn.com including localhost. Adding the entries manually in the hosts file does nothing and I even tried removing the VPN client, the network connections and components and even a manual winsock reset. I cannot resolve internet DNS but can ping all internal IP addresses. The Windows XP computer across from me has no issues. I am not going to update any VPN clients as we still don't have computers who are functional so I need to spend money where it counts before I upgrade computers and I cannot perform a downgrade on this model because the previous person who bought it didn't bother to check Windows XP compatibility before they installed them in 10+ communities.

Im loosing my patience with my home setup im running. My ISP has given me a /29 static range which I have correctly applied. I have statically mapped a external IP to a device on the LAN without any issues. When checkign external ip on the device it appears as it shoud and everythgin else appears as the external address of the PIX. When I try to access anything past the router externally I cannot. I can ping the dialer and vlan1 interface on the 857w but cannot see anything past that. All I want the router to do is route, and control everything from the pix. Have i left out a command somewhere?

Okey so the issue here is that my computer just looses its connection after ive downloaded somewhat or something.especially when im downloading from you know what So.when i try to go on my Chrome, explorer, firefox WHATEVER it says Additional logon information may be required.so i click on that annotation and it just brings me to the home page of my main browser google home page with ofcourse no internet what so ever.. im using Wireless and wired (best connection) for the wired i use it through a cisco but neither works.it works fine on laptop and my iPhone 4.

when I try to connect to a network where is required a login in the first webpage I cannot have internet access, but only local access.I mean: even for free internet connection, sometimes they require you to connect to their network, then open the browser that is automatically direct to their network login page in order to login in that page.my problem is that I am able to connect to the network but when i open any browser, it does not direct me to the login webpage; it tries to go to my homepage but, obviously, the computer is not still connected to internet, so on the browser it appear "Atheros AR5B91 Wireless Network Adapter".

I have a big problem with several TP-Link routers (WDR3600, WR1043ND, WR741ND), always with the latest firmware and also with older ones. After a day or so, my internet & network connection will drop all of a sudden and all the routers need a reboot. There is no indication on what provoces these lock-ups. The routers can handle heavy traffic (bittorrent /w 100s of connections) but will stop working when browsing casually. The web-GUI will become unreachable. No pings to the outside are possible anymore, not even to direct IPs (8.8.8.8 for example). No pings to devices in the same network are possible either.

I've got random connection issue when I try to connect to a VPN gateway through an ASA 5510 (IPSEC client ->ASA 5510->VPN Gateway).
When the tunnel is coming up, those two lines appears in the captured traffic on the internal interface :
<private internal IP>.500 > <destination IP>.500: udp 541
<public external IP>.500 > <destination IP>.500: udp 541
When it's not coming up, the port nuimber for the public IP is not 500
(private internal IP).500 > (destination IP).500: udp 541
(public external IP).442 > (destination IP).500: udp 541
I don't understand why sometimes the port for the public external IP is 500 and sometimes not.

I have an issue witch Cisco VPN-Client V 5.0.06.0160 Remote VPV-Access to ASA 5510 8.2(3)
Evrything works fien but sometimes after about 4-5 Hours the Connection is dropped by the ASA. The Client still prtends to be connected, but there is no connection seen on teh ASA.

I have a PCF file that works fine on Windows XP. The tunnel to the ASA5505 comes up, and I can ping my server at 10.1.1.2.
I take the same PCF file and put it on a Windows 7 machine client version 5.0.07.0440 and the tunnel comes up. But I'm unable to ping my 10.1.1.2 server.
Does something in the pcf file need to change for this version of the client?

This profile is configured to give clients a virtual ip address via DHCP as shown in this configuration example: url...When the DHCP request is sent from the ASA to the DHCP server, the hostname in the request is set to the name of the IPsec connection profile and a number. Is it possible to have the hostname set to the host name of the client that initiated the connection?Does the ASA support receiving a hostname as part of a IKE Mode Config Request?

My basic question is, does Cisco VPN Client allow two simultaneous VPN connections at once?I want to set up the following:User Client (Remote Access VPN via Internet)--> Head Office ASA 5520 A/S Pair --> (Remote Acces VPN via Internet) --> Branch Office ASA 5510S+ A/S Pair,So, in order to access the branch office system, the user must:Connect to Head Office ASA peer via Cisco VPN Client (user/password authentication),Head Office ASA peer gives a private 172.16.1.x IP, and is configured to route all requests to Branch Office's public ASA IP via it's own public IP address. I'm generally pretty good with VPN issues and with SSL certs, but this is my first rodeo with VPN and certificates together. I've got a Cisco 2811 router running IOS Firewall (12.4(25)) and for a while now, I've had VPN clients connecting using PSK's and XAUTH. In order to tighten security, we'd like to move away from PSK's with Aggressive Mode and use certificates with Main Mode.I've been trying to use the Cisco 2811 as the CA, rather than use a Microsoft server or third-party provider. I think I'm pretty close to getting this to work, but something isn't quite right. My VPN client software does connect to the 2811, and I get prompted for the XAUTH creds. If I supply the right creds, I do see in my VPN log window that I've gotten assigned an IP address from the inside VPN pool, my split tunneling rules come through, but the VPN disconnects almost immediately and I never get a chance to try any pings or to send any other types of traffic. I have attached a sterilized copy of the 2811's current config (2811_sterile.txt), a copy of the 2811's debug output when the VPN client tries to connect (vpn_client_connect_sterile.txt), and a copy of the VPN client's log with IKE on High and Certificates on High (vpn_log_sterile.txt).FWIW, the 2811 is NOT behind NAT, but my VPN client IS behind NAT. However, I have tried using a direct connection with the VPN client and it didn't seem to change much so I'm not convinced this is a NAT issue.Again, I've never used a Cisco router as a CA and I've been battling this problem for several hours now so the 2811's config may have a lot of unneccessary lines in it at this point.

Does RV082 can establish PPTP VPN connection as CLIENT? (i'm aware it can provide function of VPN PPTP server but could not find if it can act as client).To explain further: I'm based in Europe and use US VPN to access some US services like Netflix, Pandora, etc.. (i'm paying for US VPN account as service so I have no other choice than PPTP). I would like to establish permanent PPTP VPN tunnel with remote server so all computers in the house can go through tunnel when i browse for Pandora or Netflix for example (is this router capable of routing policy too so not all the traffic would be routed through tunnel?)

I am using Cisco AnyConnect VPN Client v2.3.0254 and ever since i upgraded my laptop from the Lenovo T420 to the Lenovo T430 the time it takes to connect via VPN has increased drastically. Connecting via VPN on my Lenovo T420 would take as little as 5 seconds to authenticate and connect while connecting with my T430 is now taking at minimum of 5 minutes, sometimes upwards of 15 minutes only to report back an error!
The screen the AnyConnect VPN Client seems to hang on is "Establishing VPN - Initiating Connection..."
The server is enforcing that McAffee is installed and up to date, however i have already made sure that my McAffee install is valid and up to date.
I have already taken these steps to try to correct the issue: Re installed Cisco AnyConnect VPN ClientRe installed & updated virus definitions for McAffeeRan CheckDisk on my primary OS partitionRan RAM validation utility to verify no bad sectors I have attached a screenshot of the error log from AnyConnect as well as the log html file.

I have configured anyconnect for phone at ASA 5510. Phone can connect to Corporate network through VPN from outside without any problem.
If I connect laptop to PC port at phone, I can run anyconnect client at pc and get vpn connection through phone. Can I get VPN connection for laptop through phone without running anyconnect client at the laptop i.e. can phone share VPN connection for laptop at PC port?

When I try to FTP into my server at home, which is running Filezilla server, and I try to connect via my Filezilla client, it gives me:"425 Can't open data connection.". I see this error on the client side and on the server side and on the client side, its not listing the directory.However, when I go and connect via SmartFTP, I sat on Google for about half an hour trying to find this problem out, went through the wiki, I know it isn't my router (I'm running pfSense). My NAT configs and firewall exceptions and port forwarding are all configured correctly. This just seems like a problem with Filezilla itself. The Filezilla Client can't connect to the Filezilla server but yet SmartFTP, as well as a friend of mine using FTPX can connect just fine.I can remote in via VNC, VPN in and contact my proxy server just fine from the outside.

A lot of times our users will have a bad connection from where they are connecting in from. Their Internet connection will drop and the VPN Client disconnects but on our Cisco ASA5520, the connection will still be connected and when their Internet connections comes back, they are not able to connect as the session is still up on the 5520. Is there a way to make the connection clear quicker? I have IKE Keepalives on the RA Profile (Confidence 300 seconds, Retry Interval 2 seconds) but it seems to keep the session longer than that. Is there anything I can do to make the connection clear quicker?

I have a ACE4710 setup to load balance a couple of web servers. The real servers all show as inservice as do the propbes and serverfarms/virtual servers. If I ping the Virtuual server ip address I get a reply but it I try to access VIP via telnet or web browser. I get a connection could not be open error on the client.The question is how do i determine where the error is comming from so far I can not tell if the client is getting through the acl or not.I have used the trouble shooting guide and nothing has worked to determine the cause so far. show service-policy int479 detail does not show an increase in the hit count when I try to connect.show stats conn does not show an increase in failed or timed out connections when i try to connect. I need to write a small piece of code in C++ to detect whether the AnyConnect VPN client (v2.5 and above) has established the connection. I recall in Cisco 3000 VPN client when the connection gets established there is a registry value (TunnelEstablished) being set to 1. But with AnyConnect I don't see any changes in the registry. how to detect this in C++?
