I am having a problem with a Cisco 887M-K9 which keep dropping it sync.I have tried 2 different locations and both time it dropped sync after 15 or minutes where other routers are working fine. [code]
View 8 RepliesI've just bought a Cisco 887m-k9 and I am trying to forward the ports. I have a Polycom HDX H.323 device connected to it with a static IP of 10.10.10.5 (ethernet port 0).Previously I had a consumer grade Linksys router which worked fine (I simply entered ports into the GUI), but I couldn't hardcode LAN port speed so I bought this. I have the list of TCP and UDP ports which are forwarded using the following commands:

Where 88.xx.xx.49 is my static IP, while 77.xx.xx.170 is my default gateway.
I've been handed an 887M with a PCEX-3G-HSPA-R6 card in it, and asked to get it working on the big, bad internet.I've managed to get it to the point that it at least *tries* to connect to the internet over the 3G network - but I've run into a problem I can;t, for all my google-fu, find an answer to.
Details - Router is an 887M/K9, running 15.1(1)T1. 3G SIM is confirmed OK (I've put it into my laptop, which has a cellular modem, and it works fine).
What happens is that the ce0 interface connects, and then immediately drops, and goes into reset mode. I'm stuffed if I know why - not sure if I need to do a firmware change to it, or soemthing else to the config.

It *seems* to come up, but immediately drops out, and I can't figure out why.
I've recently tried to update the modem firmware on an 887M that is actually using an Annex M service and after rebooting to kick in the new modem firmware, the router loses sync. I've tried this with various other 877, 877M, 887 and 887Ms on normal Annex A services with no problems, but this Annex M service doesn't like it at all.

We have two networks, 192.168.0.x and 192.168.11.x connected to router on the same interface (192.168.11.253 is a secondary ip) but I can seem to be able to route packets from one network to the other. Internet traffic is fine from both networks. I can't see what I'm doing wrong here. I can ping the 192.168.11.253 (router) from the 192.168.0 network but nothing beyond that.
I tried this at home with no other config and its the same. Is this by design?
we have an LMS 3.2 in which it cannot archive the configuration for a couple of routers. The output is the following:
Failed to fetch the configuration. Check the dcmaservice.log for details. TELNET: Failed to establish TELNET connection to x.x.x.x - Cause: connect timed out.
The issue is that i have configured all devices to be accessed through SSH first and then through telnet. I have tested SSH access from LMS with putty.
We have LMS 3.2 software. But the RME module can't running because notification error.

Is it possible to sync the two? I'd like to be able to access both my pc (& my external hard drive connected to my pc) from my laptop. From what I've read, it's not possible unless both computers are on a wireless connection. I'm using Windows XP on my pc, and Windows 7 on my laptop.

View 1 Replies View RelatedIam using LMS 3.2. In short, there is 2 type of router, 2800series and 2900series. These device already join to TACACS server. When I try to sync archive I got:
- failed on 2900series
- successful on 2800series
I have doing same config (credential, snmp, protocol for sync archive), for those device on ciscoworks but why I find the error??
I have a pair of ASA5520, each has a CSC-SSM module, all specs and licences match and the ASA failover between active and passive firewalls works as expected. However, I am unable to get the two content modules to sync. ASA are running 8.4... and attach diagram show cabling. Each CSC-SSM uses it's connected port as a gateway, although I've tried using both primary and standby IP.
When I try to sync the devices as per the Trend Micro instructions I get the error: "InterScan for CSC SSM could not establish a connection with the failover peer device. Please verify network connectivity with the peer and that the peer is functioning properly, then try again."
All interfaces are up/up. I cannot see the other CSC-SSM in either ASA's arp table. Neither CSC-SSM can ping the other, and none of the guides I've found so far details the pre sync config of the CSC-SSMs.
sync status is on the device, is what I see trying to connect to my outlook, I had to change laptops and I can't remember how to sync with outlook?

I think to rsync those folders/files every night to location A, but then I think what if in the future there are many other locations (C, D, E, F) that need to be rsynced to location A, that will make location A need a very large harddisk space that maybe not available in the market or limit

At the beginning I was using a Win Server 2003 Enterprise edition AD, and there was no problem with the AD and the CA Authority. Because some of my customers use Win Server 2008 I change the AD platform to Win Server 2008 Enterprise edition (x64).I don't really have a great experience with Win Server Platforms and, for what I've seen, the Win Server 2003 Services deployment is easier than the Win Server 2008 is.
So, when I used the Win server 2003 I could not only synchronize the ACS with the AD but also use some groups created on the AD to perform the Network Access Authentication. When I try to do the same with the Win Server 2008 AD the ACS and the Server get Synchronized but when I want to add the groups for the Authentication purposes there is no one, absolutely nothing... so I cannot do any test.Also I looked for information about the compatibility between the ACS 5.2 and the Win Server 2008 platforms and at the end the platforms are compatibles.
we are moving network devices (200+) authentication/authorization/accounting to new ACS5.2, is there any easy way to copy/sync all those AAA clients configuration to another ACS5.2 server? I don't need other configuration to be synced/copied to another ACS5.2 server

I've looked in the dcmaservice.log (also attatched), and I can see the extended error message:

In LMS 4.0.1 I experience, in several different installations, that this is not possible. It seems I can enter one exclude command beyond the defaults per category, the rest is not applied even though the feedback from the application is positive. Next time I access the Exclude Commands view, the commands I entered are gone. Is this a change of behaviour or a bug?

In other words, when I modify the files in a particular folder on one computer I want the changes to be automatically synced to the local disk on the other computer (I don't want to have to be accessing my files from a network share -- I want local access to them once downloaded). If it would be easier to set something like this up through a server, I do have an old computer lying around that could be re-purposed for such a task.

Firstly, my setup. Wdtv live connected via USB3 to 1tb wd elements hdd. Also connected via rj45 to router. Laptop on same network, but wireless.
My first question concerns transfer rates. When sending any kind of media to the networked drive from my laptop, I'm only getting transfer speeds of about. 2 mb/s. I thought I would get much more than this as when the wdtv streams to my iPad, it will need faster speeds than this.
The second question is just to make my life easier. Is there any way I can set up folders on my laptop to automatically sync with a chosen folder on the networked hdd? Just to save any effort on my part really
What I want is if I import a cd using iTunes into my library, it will automatically see it and copy it across to the hdd so I can play it over the network.
As an aside, would it be easier to store my whole iTunes library just on the networked drive?
