If i view the status windows (internet connection) in router i see the right address for gateway and internet Ip , but is not allow to navigate by other PC linked with internal switch of E2000. Feb 20, 2011My ISP is *starting* to roll out native-v6, quiet-like, and I'm trying to get it running in the ADSL-connected home-lab. However, for some reason, PPP link setup fails for v6; v4 is fine, as always. The argument which seems to be sent from IPV6CP as the link-ID seems like it might be overlong from some examples I've seen elsewhere. I have seen 48-bit-ish examples, and this one is clearly longer. I've not seen any config extracts that suggest I may have control over this, though. At least not directly.I'd love to know where to look further, or if this is a known bug, but GOOG searches aren't giving me anything seeming relevant. It's *possible* that the ISP needs to tweak something on the LNS side, but says he has another customer with a working setup (not necessarily on the c8xx ISR series hardware, though). I had the same problems on c880data-universalk9-mz.124-22.YB8.bin image as well, and moved to the 15.1(3)T in hopes of better functionality.

Dec 13, 2011with my broadband internet I received a range of 5 IP addresses from BT. I would like to assign one of them to the modem, in order to reach the modem from the outside using that IP.,Is this theoretically possible at all?,Is the WAG320N supporting static IP addresses with PPPoA at all?,When I select PPPoA as the encapsulation on the Setup/Basic setup tab, I cannot enter an IP address on that tab. I tried using the Setup/Ethernet tab, but selecting ""Use as a WAN port", "Static IP", inserting the IP and clicking on "save" result in a cut of the internet connection.

i'm having difficultys in setting the router to connect to our BT ADSL2 business broadband, we have a static IP but on normal cheaper routers you just input a Chap username and password. and the router sorts the rest.
i've followed the tech support from cisco website inputted the configure commands to create the ATM0 and a Dialer0 but still having no joy.when you log into the gui it only shows you a enable PPPoE tick box. no signs of PPPoA?

Dec 27, 2010I am simply trying to configure fail over configuration in my 1812 router. I have done some configuration on my router but my configuration is not working as i want. My router does not goes to secondary route until i unplug the primary interface cable on my router. when i unplug the primary cable it goes to secondary route and then i plug back primary cable the router come back to primary link.so my configuration is working when my primary gateway down but it is not working when internet goes down from isp end. i have attached my running configuration.

Cisco Wireless :: 1812 - No Association After Upgrade From 15.1 To 15.2
Sep 19, 2012I just upgraded a 1812w from 15.1 to 15.2 and did NOT change any configs/passwords or anything else.
My WiFi Clients are not able to associate any more. Failure is:

I can't find either a WLAN-configuration guide for 15.2.

Cisco Firewall :: 1812 - IPV6 - ZBF Not Working
Jan 28, 2012I'm having several issues with IPv6 and ZBF. I've narrowed one of them to a very simple setup. I tried 15.1(4)M in GNS2 and 15.1(4)M3 on a 1812.
The setup is
[PC] ----- [R1] ------ [R2]
R1 and R2 are interconnected by IPv6 only and there is a tunnel over that link to carry IPv4 from R2 to PC.
And I'm trying to ping PC from R2 with IPv4. We're looking at the R1 config mainly. (the other are included for completeness)
When I try to ping the PC from R2, I get this on R1 console:
%FW-6-DROP_PKT: Dropping icmp session [::]:0 [::]:0 on zone-pair zp_vpn_to_lan class cm_icmp with ip ident 0
Which really doesn't make much sense because zone vpn and zone lan are purely IPv4 and should never see IPv6 traffic as such ...
If I remove all ZBF related config, then traffic flows without problem.

Jun 15, 2011We are trying to get a video conference system (POLYCOM) up running. Thrue a Cisco 1812 router with Firewall feature set.
I Have heard in the past that there should be issues with Polycom and Cisco, but have actually never seen it.I can establish a video call from inside the 1812 to outside.
But when I try from outside to the public ip adress there is nattet to, then it reach the video system and die straight after, so there is never any video session set up.
I have tried to remove everything regarding firewall feature and passing true, so the only thing the 1812 should do is NAT. And still the same.
I can not see anything in the log on the router from the ACL's where I permittet everything, other then it connect on the port TCP 1720, as it should. This is the software I'm running on the router:
Cisco IOS Software, C181X Software (C181X-ADVIPSERVICESK9-M), Version 12.4(15)T3, RELEASE SOFTWARE (fc1)
When I search Google, it look like there is a lot issues with Cisco and Polycom, but I have not found any concret solution. Other then I should use a ADSL line with a public IP address. As we probably is going to do.

Feb 20, 2012I curently have 2 Data centers connected with a Metro Ethernet Connection. Each Data Center has 6500 with Sup720s. The Metro Ethernet connection is currently conected by a L3 routed interface. I now need to enable VRFs between the locations and want to determine the best way to adjust the Mero. I was considering adjusting the routed interface to use Ethernet sub-interfaces. Each VRF would be given a different subinterface over the Metro Ethernet connection. I have done this on internal LAN connections but am concerned about exteding across data centers over Metro E.

It is not detecting my ethernet cable, and thus leaving me without internet on my desktop, after i updated its driver. The cable is not the problem as I have tested the cable with my laptop. I tried rolling back drivers, doing system restore and removing drivers with driversweeper and letting windows install the drivers again. However, none of these worked for me. I doubt the NIC is faulty as it was working before i updated the drivers. I am using windows 7 home premium 64-bit.

Jun 11, 2012I just got a new Xbox today, and use the integrated WiFi card. I was lagging like Crysis 2 on a 6800 GT (forget it). I just got a CAT .5 cable, and plugged it into modem/xbox and IDK... it works, I'm online, but basically my question is:Does ethernet connections have less ping (better) than wireless connections? This is with the Xbox 360 Slim. I know it improves upload, and download, but what about ping?
