Cisco WAN :: VWIC2-1MFT-G703 In 2921 Router
Jun 5, 2012I have installed a VWIC2-1MFT-G703 module into cisco 2921 router, I can verify the card by show inventory command. but in show run, I do not see the E1 controller card there. this card is used for TPG lease line for data only. Those card is compatible with new 2921 router? or need some extra command to bring it up?

Mar 19, 2012I have not worked on the new VWIC cards lately. I would like to know how I can configure the serial IP address like we used to do in the older T1 DSU WIC cards. I do not see any interface that shows as serial. I have configured the controller as a T1 controller but still no luck.

May 10, 2013I have a 3845 edge router connected to the Internet via four T1s and a HWIC-4T1/E1 card. We are adding two more T1s to the mix, and I have a VWIC2-2MFT-T1/E1 card. Here are my questions:
1. Is it correct to state that the VWIC2-2MFT-T1/E1 can support data in addition to voice?
2. I can use the HWIC and VWIC cards together to utilize the 6 T1s together?
3. Do I just add the card, configure the new slot, and add it to the same channel group?

Cisco WAN :: 1841 Router - Can't View WIC-1DSU-T1-V2 Card To Troubleshoot
Jul 13, 2011I recently installed a WIC 1DSU-T1-V2 card into a 1841 router to add to a multilink bundle. I inserted it in Slot 1 and powered up the router and there was a new serial interface showing in the config automatically as s0/1/0. I was able to get it setup with ppp multilink and added to the multilink group. The problem is I need to do a sh controller or sh service-module to see if there are errors happening (I'm using this card as a replacement for an interface that was giving errors with this line before). I can do a sh s0/1/0 and that works but I can't see deeper. I found it odd that the serial port just appeared in the config when I booted without having to do anything, if this is correct behavior and how I see the Controller or CSU info for troubleshooting?

Unfortunately, it doesn't display in the configuration - nor any lights appear on it for power/link.
My first guess is I need to upgrade my IOS. The current version on my 1841 is 12.4(17). Which appears to be pretty current.

Dec 26, 2011I have 3725 router with internal CF and external slot for CF. I tried upgrading and ended up deleting the iOS version on the internal flash, and can not now put the iOS back!! I turned it off.... so there was no active iOS..
I have tried formatting the CF card on an 1841 but the 3725 won't read it. It is obviously stuck at ROMMON
What is the correct way to format a CF card so my 3725 will read it and I can get an iOS back on it!!
