Q1- Can i add another card in this model? Q2- Can we multilink bundle up two T3/E3 cards? (current we have a single DS3 P2P connection between two office, so want to increase the bandwidth)
How to configure T3/E3 Interface on Cisco 3825. It got 2 Co Ax Ports (1 for Tx, 1 for Rx). I enabled the port using below command. card type t3 2

View 1 Replies View RelatedI am having a problem getting serial interfaces to show up with a NM4A/S card in a 3745 router. It worked at first but now the serial interfaces don't show up in running-config but show diag shows the card is present but says "Port adapter is disabled deactivated". I have tried the card in 3 different slots and of course turned off power when moving card around (left power cord in for grounding). Again, it was once working (serial interfaces were showing up in running-config) so if I damaged the slot somehow, however I was very careful when seating card. Have been searching the learning network and google for days now to no avail. Have tried to find something similar to the card type command thinking the port adapter needs to be activated but have not found any documentation about that. Hope card isn't bad all of a sudden but really don't think it is since it worked before and it seems to be recognized just not showing serial interfaces in running-config/sh ip int b (on ios/cli). Really think it's something along the lines of activating card, but not sure.

View 5 Replies View RelatedI've been having some problems with my Ethernet connection lately.The problem started early last week. I'm currently relocating, so I unplugged my laptop from the Ethernet connection I had at my old place.At two different locales, I have tried to use an Ethernet connection in order to get better speed (the wireless at the first locale was non-existent and at the second it is extremely slow in my room). I have done so with two separate cables that I have tested on others' computers and found that they are perfectly fine. That, of course, leads me to believe that it is my computer and is either a hardware or software problem (here's hoping it's the latter).Anyway, my laptop is a Dell Inspiron 1720 (purchased in 2006). About a year ago, I updated to Windows 7 from the pre-installed Vista. Never had any problems (as I said, everything was fine up until about a week ago). The installed card is a Broadcom 440x 10/100 Integrated Controller. Everything under Device Manager indicates that the hardware is working properly and has all of its drivers installed, but nothing is working.I have tried to uninstall and re-install the drivers (albeit by allowing windows to find them automatically), but the result is the exact same.I have checked the port and found that there is no debris or obstructions. My computer hasn't been dropped or mishandled in any way.

View 1 Replies View RelatedI'm off to university on Monday but I couldn't afford a laptop (I have a huge Dell gaming desktop!) so my awesome parents gave me their little Acer Aspire One D260-A netbook; Intel Atom Processor N450 (1.66GHz, 512K), 1GB, 160GB HDD. It's a couple of years old, was running XP and literally everything was broken - no sound, no backlight, faulty touchpad etc. - so first port of call was a clean install of Windows 7 and updating every driver (and BIOS) off the Acer website from a USB.Problem is, everything is running like a dream... except for the wireless. When I tried to install the latest Atheros drivers (doing all of this from a USB due to lack of connectivity) I received a Code 10: driver cannot start error, so after some troubleshooting I was pointed towards different drivers, only for Windows to inform me that it can't find the hardware.
Looking in devices, I'm seeing an Atheros Ethernet connection device but the wireless card seems to have taken a walk. Xirrus isn't seeing anything either. My current internet is between Virgin and BT (mine and my partner's house) but we move in together on Monday and we'll be setting up Sky, so I can't give you much information on internet. I do have an ethernet cable I can plug into our Virgin wifi home router (D-Link DSL-2640R Broadband Wireless G ADSL2+) if need be. One of my main problems seems to be finding the correct drivers as due to the wireless card disappearing, I'm not sure how to tell what the wireless hardware actually is.

if I do a dev I get nothing. If I do a dir flash: I get "bad device name". My cookie shows FF in all positions.
If I remove the entire WiFi Radio card (both boards), then It boots fine, cookie appears intact, devs appear, IOS loads, just without the WAP.
Any chance this is a matter of a file getting deleted or corrupted or is this certainly bad hardware? The router sans Wifi appears fully functional.
I am wanting to move an existing wireless LAN PCI 802.11 b/g adapter WN5301A card from another tower computer into my Optiplex 755 mintower. Is this compatible, or do I need to get a different wireless card?

I have a Windows Server 2012 hyper-v host thats used to run all of the vm's I use in my house on an ASUS P9X79 WS motherboard. The board comes with 2 Intel gigabit nic's, one of which is an Intel server nic. Ever since installing Server 2012 it only registers one onboard adapter for use and the other isn't. Because of this I am planning on getting a second server grade network adapter for the vm's to use and have the onboard dedicated to management only. The only thing currently holding me back is if the OS will properly detect and run the network card in a non-server motherboard? Any insight as to if it will work on my board or not? Google has only revealed uses on server boards and not workstations.

But for some reason when I'm using that wireless connector my computer won't connect to my router and give me a 192.168.0.x address, it gives me a regular IP address. I can surf the net and everything but I can't access files on other computers. But from it it'll allow me to connect to the router admin fine.Whenever I put the mac address in to my DHCP setting on my router it comes up * RESERVED INACTIVE * and never gives my laptop a local ip address.The other problem is on my 192.168.0.2 computer I've tried to set up port forwarding but it won't open the ports. My router is a Motorola SBG6580 provided by my cable company. This particular computer is connected by Ethernet and not Wifi if that makes a difference.
View 2 Replies View Relatedwe've got a pair of old 3745's that are getting upgraded to new 2911's, and I'm trying to run IOS 15.2 on the new routers to get them most current before going into test and production use.The routers are doing BGP, IPv4, and HSRP, and I'm trying to put one in at a time as to not have to big bang everything at once. I'm putting the one that matters least in first, and basically using the same config as the old one, which was running IOS 11.
I was using "no ip mroute-cache" on ethernet interfaces, and it says that command is deprecated and I should use the MFIB commands instead. Darn if I know what that means, I believe it was set up so the ethernet interfaces had IP multicast fast switching disabled, which was set up by our vendor 10 years ago so I'm not sure if it matters. It would seem logical to me this would have an impact on HSRP and speed of failover. Does this matter, and if so how in the world do I do this with IOS 15.2?The second one is the use of "no fair-queue" on our serial connection for a T1. This command isn't there either, and I'm not sure if I even need to bother on this. It was set up on the old router on a T1 Frame Relay circuit.
There is no special requirements, just need new hardware with some reserve availability. As for now it's 3745 EOL and I assume to use 3945.

I intend to deploy a voice+data network using some old 3745 and 2811. The network in effect has six 3745 in a hybrid topology at different locations and each having three WIC-2T, one WIC-4T, three NMHDV-2E1. That's pretty much juicing out the maximum from these routers These will serve as my core routers and for access I will be using my 2811s with more VWICs and lesser WIC-2T to give voice and data to subscribers. The 2811s will have links to multiple 3745s. The NMHDV-2E1 will serve for the voice needs at the 3745 locations. All the WAN links will be E1. All my telephones will be on analog voice using traditional EPABX with CEPT/ PRI E1 cards for connecting to the routers. And for data, ethernet ports.Two of the routers will have E1 links to the PSTN and Internet which has to be extended to all my folks. Now, for the tricky part, all my network modules are refurbished stuff from ebay and all the ports will have links on them. I intend to use OSPF with only the backbone area.

Now i want to find a way to reserve the addresses in the pool for specific machines, for example, if machine A connects to the VPN it should always be given the IP address a.a.a.a and that address should never be assigned to any other machine even if machine A is not connected to the VPN.
