We have a 3745 LNS router, currently there are less number of users connected.when a user dials request authenticated and one virtual-access interface is formed in LNS router.Now the user is disconnected the vpn and connected to VPN again in this case, whether the user is connected to the same virtual-access interface which was assigned before disconnecting or different virtual-access interface is created.

View 3 Replies View RelatedI have VPDN running on our Cisco 1921 router running 15.2(1)T. Previously I was using Cisco 2801 router running 12.4(24)T4. I copied the config from the 2801 to the new 1921 router before replacing the router but now the VPDN isn't working.
Basically the users can connect and authenticate to the VPDN, but once they get the IP 192.168.12.10-20 IP, they can't access the internal servers (i.e. 192.168.12.120).
Is there any bug in the 15.2(1)T relating to VPDN?

I have a subnet (vlan 104) working great across a WAN. At site 1, Router A (3745) has the L2TPv3 tunnel configured while Router B (7204) has a routed interface on vlan 104.
The only thing router A is doing is the tunnel, so I'd like put the tunnel on Router B and eliminate Router A.
The trouble is, when I move the configs to Router B, the tunnel comes up, but the far side does not receive traffic over the tunnel.
Router B shows sending and receiving packets (per the 'sh l2tun session all' command). The far end router shows sending packets but receiving 0.
Is it a problem to have both the vlan 104's L2TPv3 xconnect interface and the vlan 104's routed inteface on the SAME router?
I have five 877 routers connected to ADSL circuits provided by Vodafone. Each has a VPN tunnel back to a PIX.
Occasionally one of the sites will lose it's connection to the PIX.
When we check the log, we find entries like these:-

As you can see, the physical interface (ATM0) is not being reported as changing state to down, neither is the Dialer interface.
When the router is in this state we have to SSL to the public IP address of it and manually restart the ISAKMP SA.
When the router sees the ATM interface go down and subsequently come back up, the VPN connection to the PIX also recovers.
So - in a long winded way I think I'm asking....why does the Virtual interface go down and is there anything I can do to stop it happening?

I have create some diferent VLAN´s and have defined one ACL for each VLAN. Now i try to do a binding from the ACl to a VLAN but i have only the option to bind the ACL to a phys. Interface or a LAG.is the a possibility to bind the ACL to a virtual interface like in other Cisco serieses and how it works ? the Backround is i have connectetd 2 Hyper-V Server where the Guests are in different VLAN´s and the server is connectetd with a 10Gb Trunk to the Switch now the switch routed the different VLAN´s and i must have some restrictions between the VLAN´s.

The IPs we are going to use on DMZ are 10.15.1.2 and 10.15.1.3
These IPs are going to be NATted to all inside IPs.
Lets say our outside IP is X.X.X.X
This IP points to 10.15.1.2 and 10.15.1.3 with .2 being the primary and .3 being the secondary. When I hit the outside IP, it should point me to .2 and that .2 should take me to the inside IPs.
one of my SNMP server 10.242.103.42 sits in MZ zone,and ACE 4710 is connected to core switch,coreswitch is connected to firewall asa.
Now iam trying to ping from MZ zone SNMP server to loadbalancer ip 10.242.105.1,iam unable to ping my LB interface to discover SLB on my SNMP server.
I am really new to this and studiying so I know that I am doing something dumb. Anyway, I purchased an ASA 5505 and placed it between my Cable Modem and Cisco 3745 router. The outside interface on the ASA is dhcp, the inside interface is 192.168.100.1. The outside interface of the 3745 is 192.168.100.2 and the inside is 192.168.1.1. The VPN pool is 192.168.200.10 - 192.168.200.10.
Here's are the problems...
1. When I establish a VPN session to the ASA, I can ping and access any resources dierectly connected to the ASA's interfaces and on the ASA's internal 192.168.100.0 network. However, I cannot access any resources behind the 3745. I cannot even ping 192.168.1.1.
2. Although I believe that I sent up split-tunnel, I cannot U-Turn back to the internet once connected to the VPN.
We recently had a contractor deploy a 4500 catalyst switch with a WS-x45-SUP7-E. After installation and configurations, HP openview is detecting a "downed" interface on the 4500 chassis that is not in the configuration. I have attached an image with the interface circled. We assumed that it may be a configuration issue with openview, however after running diagnostics with a network analyzer, the same ip address for the down interface is still detected. Is this some sort of internal virtual interface on the SUP7?

Im currently connected to a remote acess vpn setup using the vpn client and am unable to get anywhere around my network, this normalyl works fine The only difference i can see is that the are multiple virtualaccess interfaces pointing to my public ip address, which im presuming is causing routing issues How can i clear these unsed virtual access lines and how can i make it forget them automatically after disconnects?

I been working with PPTP server on cisco IOS since a log time ago. Up to release 15.0 seems is just stopped working. I mean external users can log in the pptp but after logged in there no traffic flow. A simple downgrade to 12.4 solves the problem.
But now i have all my infrastructure with ISR2 2901 and all IOS are 15.
I'm in process of purchasing a new Cisco routers for our branches that will be used primary to enable IPSec virtual tunnel interfce with "tunnel mode ipsec ipv4". does the default IOS IP Base supports this feature? or i need to purchase DATA license or SECURITY license?
View 4 Replies View RelatedI have configured VPDN/Dialer on router 2600 to connect to our ISP via Fibre Optics modem but its simply not connecting. The router consists of 3 interfaces
- Inter fa0/0 = 10.0.0.6 255.255.255.248 (LAN 1)
- Inter fa0/1 = IP is unassigned (interface connected to Fibre Optics modem)
- Inter e1/0 = 192.168.200.1 255.255.255.0 (LAN 2)
The connection is planned to run like this:
LAN1 & LAN2 (Inter fa0/0 & Inter e1/0) <-> Inter fa0/1 <-> Dialer1 <-> Modem <-> ISP <-> Internet.
The Modem will just server as mere "modem" or just a bridge, as the actual routing is configured on "dialer interface" in the router.We're not using a dedicated IP address to link to ISP but a public one. After configuring the interfaces, VPDN, dialer interface, NAT, access-list, ISP's assigned username/password, etc I'm simply not connecting to our ISP, even when I do a ping. The ISP's IP address which we're pinging is 118.23.8.80 What am I missign out? How do I connect the dots here?Below are the results for Running config, Ping, and Debug:

However, on my home network I have a Linksys NSLU2 mini network server which has a flash drive plugged in that contains my files that I access from any of my home PC's. No problem accessing it from the Win 7 machine, but when I try to setup a "new network place" on the XP system, I get an error telling me that the address is not valid.

View 1 Replies View Relatedwe've got a pair of old 3745's that are getting upgraded to new 2911's, and I'm trying to run IOS 15.2 on the new routers to get them most current before going into test and production use.The routers are doing BGP, IPv4, and HSRP, and I'm trying to put one in at a time as to not have to big bang everything at once. I'm putting the one that matters least in first, and basically using the same config as the old one, which was running IOS 11.
I was using "no ip mroute-cache" on ethernet interfaces, and it says that command is deprecated and I should use the MFIB commands instead. Darn if I know what that means, I believe it was set up so the ethernet interfaces had IP multicast fast switching disabled, which was set up by our vendor 10 years ago so I'm not sure if it matters. It would seem logical to me this would have an impact on HSRP and speed of failover. Does this matter, and if so how in the world do I do this with IOS 15.2?The second one is the use of "no fair-queue" on our serial connection for a T1. This command isn't there either, and I'm not sure if I even need to bother on this. It was set up on the old router on a T1 Frame Relay circuit.
There is no special requirements, just need new hardware with some reserve availability. As for now it's 3745 EOL and I assume to use 3945.
