View 2 RepliesI have a 2651 that has an adsl1-wic that I am using as my DSL router. I recently acquired a 2801 that I want to replace the 2651 with. I configured the 2801 the same way as the 2651 but on a reload I get the statement that says
Setup: New interface NVIO placed in shutdown state
When I do a show interface all of the interfaces show up except the NVIO and I don't have any connectivity to the outside world. I am using Nat since I have a /29 and using nat pool overload. What am I missing? I am running IPVOICEK9-M 12.4.25c on the 2651 and adventerprise 12.4.24.T on the 2801
I have P router (7206VXR) and I need to export netflow from its MPLS interfaces to the netflow software.

Do I need a newer IOS or is there a command to have the router recognize this WIC? Currently it is connecvted to our ISP via the serial connection, but they want to go to an ATM protocol for better video performance.

Rejecting IPSec tunnel: no matching crypto map entry for remote proxy 10.250.2.0/255.255.255.0/0/0 local proxy 10.10.3.0/255.255.255.0/0/0 on interface Outside
Not sure what this means in this instance, the maps are setup the same as the article below. I guess I more expected that sort of error if this was a static tunnel and there was an ACL issue. I don't have a lot of knowledge on the Easy VPN with the ASA. [code]
I have cisco 2651. It contains two FastEthernet interfaces: Fa0/0, Fa0/1.Fa0/1 has an ip address. Fa0/0 hasn't an ip address.I need to create monitor session from source Fa0/1 to destination Fa0/0. Then i want to connect my notebook to Fa0/0 to analyze some traffic from port Fa0/1

I want to distribute bandwidth in this ratio 2MBps/2MBps/1MBps

I currently have a 150 nodes MPLS network. My management is anxious to join some sites with 3G routers as their centres move around a lot.My current MPLS site as 4 x Ps with lots of PEs linking to the 150 x CEs. Is there a way to easily link up my 3G routers to my MPLS network? I have heard DMVPN may be a solution, but not sure how to implement.

My question is "is it possible to use the FastEthernet Port of 861-K9 router for connecting the internet Link ?"
Can Cisco2951 work as an MPLS router. If yes what will be needed to make it function as an MPLS router? Else which alternative router can function as an MPLS router.

My layout: Internet > Cable internet modem (Site B) > ASA 5510 (Site B) > 2821 Router (Site B) > MPLS Line > 2821 Router (Site A) > ASA5510 (Site A) > ISP provider internet router (Site A) > Internet
Facts:Site B is the one with the internet issues. The MPLS line is routed using BGP. [URL]
i m planning to use the 2921 router for both mpls and internet connection , to 2 different isp also am planning to use bgp with a public providor independant
i m planning to buy sla for the mpls link
I have 3 locations connected with MPLS connectivity … 2 mbps , 2 mbps branches and 4 mbps and I have Cisco 1841 router ?Last few days I am facing problem that Cisco 1841 router’s Lan port suddenly stop working and connectivity get disconnected. In this stage branch offices can reach up to CISCO 1841 WAN port.
( I have changed 2 different router assuming router problem but issues remain same, Hence No hardware problem )
I wanted to get some opinions on the topic above. We are purchasing MPLS services from a large ISP and they offer a managed router option. I will also have a Cisco ISR 2900 at each site running SRST for my voice system. I have some experience with BGP and am not scared at all to support it if need be. That said, I am currently looking at pros and cons of going with a managed router from this company vs managing my own. Actually, I will manage my own regardless and would just plug it into the managed router. My router is perfectly capable of handling the BGP protocol but I am hoping that I can get some opinions from all of you.

View 1 Replies View RelatedI'm looking for Routing Design scenarios to complete our configuration needs for remote branches. We will have two 1921 routers in each location, one with a T1 from our MPLS carrier, the other with a DSL connection from an ISP. The T1 router will have an assigned AS and use BGP to router back to head quarters. The DSL router will have an IPSec tunnel back to an ASA 5510 at head quarters. I envisions a GRE tunnel from the DSL router back to head end routers connecting to MPLS at head quarters. Not sure yet how to manipuate the routing between head quarters and the branches such that the T1 router is the primary route to and from the branches and the DSL router is for failover/backup.

View 11 Replies View RelatedWe are attempting to implement an ASA 5520 with a new ISP. Based on the limited routing needs, I believe we can use it as the router as well. I am familiar enough with routers, but the ASA is obviously a different thing.
The setup looks like:
ASA Version 8.2(1) !
host name Cisco
interface GigabitEthernet0/0description Internet name if Outsidesecurity-level 0ip address 69.XX.46.1 255.255.255.252 !interface GigabitEthernet0/1
description DMZnameif DMZsecurity-level 0ip address 69.XX.56.1 255.255.255.240
!interface GigabitEthernet0/2description Localnameif Insidesecurity-level 15ip address 10.0.XX.XXX 255.255.252.0
[Code] .....
1) Outside 0/0 connects to MRV from service provider (Public)
2) DMZ 0/1 connects to outside switch with servers (Public)
3) Inside 0/2 is LAN (Private)
A) Based on a completely default config and aside from setting the routes to send traffic from inside to outside, and outside to DMZ, what is the next step?
B) What should the interface security levels be, I am unsure what they should be or why...?
Based on the initial config with interfaces set as above, I cannot move traffic through.
Today we have a simple ASA-5520 SVC setup with just one connection profile and one group policy. Authentication (2 factor – AD + SMS) is performed by RADIUS. We would now like allow access to this VPN service only if you reside in a particular group in the MS AD. From what I understand this can be accomplished through DAP. Either by matching the LDAP attribute “memberOf” or RADIUS id 146. I’m I right? Can I still perform authentication using RADIUS and then DAP using LDAP or must I use DAP using RADIUS?

View 2 Replies View RelatedI have 2 cisco 1941/K9 vpn router. I have configured both with LAN ip address given by our vpn provider which is 172.10.10.1 and the other is 172.10.20.1. Both IP addresses are configured to GigabitEthernet port 0/0 on both routers.
1. Is it possible to configure our own set of ip address like 10.71.10.1 and 10.71.50.1 on the GE 0/0 port?
2. Or can we configure our own set of ip addresses (10.71.10.1 and 10.71.50.1) to GigabitEthernet port 0/1 and maintain the other ip addresses on port 0/0?
The first purpose is to have our own set of ip addresses for LAN connection and I will be able to connect or telnet whichever ip address or port is up.
We recently purchased a SF 300-48P to replace a Layer 3 3Com switch that died. I've sucessfully put the switch into Layer 3 mode and assigned ip addresses to each of the VLANs but I cannot figure out how to implement routes for those. Here's some info on our network and what the previous switch had. [code]
Not sure if this can be translated into the Cisco or not.. If i try to create an IP route like these i get errors that the Gateway can be a route.
Is it possible to implement ACLs in layer3 switch??
