View 4 RepliesI have a WLC 4402 with many APs connected. Most of the APs are LAP1121 and LAP1131 and are working using 802.11b/g. I tried activating 802.11a but for some reason its not working. I see under the Monitor tab that the AP's "802.11a" interface is "down". I have enabled the radio under the "Wireless" tab. Under all the "WLAN" I have enabled all the radios but still not working. 802.11a" interface is still "down".
The AP Model is AIR-LAP1131AG-E-K9 meaning "ESTI" regulation. Under "Country" I "checked" IL.
We have 1242-AG series AP which is configured in Rogue Detector mode. After adding this AP to WLC its showing Admin Status of AP as Down.
When i am trying to enable the Admin Status its giving me following error
" Admin status cannot be enabled for AP in Rogue Detector mode".
how to enable Admin Status for Rogue Detector AP.
1552 E Ap with a 2504 WLC. Single Root Ap with Mesh the Mesh has the problem. Both Power Injector and AP has been replaced . How do you turn on the 802.11 B Radio? No other problems at 40 other sites with identical installation.

They are in H-REAP mode as are all the other AP's, but for some reason I have to keep going in and setting the Admin Status of the AP to Enable. This has been occuring across different firmaware versions since 4, we are currently running 7.

I took one and a half hours to get everything set up, I've got a PPoE connection, my problem is that ever since I entered the administration interface each and every page takes 2-5 minutes to load, it's absurdly slow, also, when trying to setup my WiFi, it timed out several times, I updated the router to the latest firmware, the same issue, it took me 4-5 retries to get WiFi set up properly. Sometimes navigating from page to page is quicker, 30-40seconds, but still those are some big times.
Is this normal behavior or do I have a hardware problem and I need to take it back and request a new one?
Mention: I am wired from a laptop, all the lights are blue, blinking nicely.
I was unable to access the web admin on my WRT160n v3 w/ latest firmware this morning. Reset config to defaults & was able to get in. Enabled HTTPS access & disabled HTTP access & was right back where I started; reset to defaults again & left both boxes checked. Can access via HTTP, but HTTPS requests get refused/reset.
The reason I needed access was that when I booted up my laptop this morning, my wireless card wasn't picking up an IP address via WIFI, only worked via ethernet, so I need to see what was going on there — several reboots of the router didn't fix, nor has it fixed the HTTPS access problem described above.
On my Switch (3750), i have a host connected. Checked the interface status and it shows as "connected". However, when i tried checking the MAC connected to that interface, its not showingI have my Switch (3750) connected to a Router (3845). On the Switch, i have a printer connected in an interface. I am seeing the Printer's MAC associated with the switch port. However, when i checked the ARP table; no entry seen for the Printer's MAC. What are the possible reasons for this? We have several same kind of devices connected to network and they are fine.

What can be the reason.I have done "no shutdown " on interface level and there is no configuration on interface except the IP address , but it show " up down "state even the port is connected to some device. ( Is the port is faulty or some other reason).As per my concept it should show up state when we connect to some device ( Like router / switch / laptop).

The device is still passing all user traffic in both directions, but attempts to connect to the admin interface with my web browser, from both the wired inside and the WAN outside fail. I can telnet to the actual tcp port number that it's configured for and establish a connection, but I can't get any response from it. At this point I'm expecting the only way I'm going to clear the condition is to power cycle the device when I get home from work. It is to note I have the device configured for https for the admin interface. Perhaps that's the more 'advanced' feature that's newer and is exhibiting some kind of bug, I wonder. I'm running the latest firmware available from D-Link.

I'm not able to login by typing user/password and just pressing enter. I've tried power-cycling the switch, however, since the power cycle, the font-panel system LED has been blinking green. I seem to recall, though I can't locate the reference now, that this means the switch is running with factory settings, but that cannot be right because:
1. I had previously saved a new configuration on the switch, which it should be using now.
2. It is answering on the configured non-factory IP address -- just not rendering the web admin interface successfully.

any VLAN interface once administratively down or simply down shows on "show interface status" output as VLAN.While it supposed to show "Routed". However once the port is up it is shows "routed" like it should.
I finally managed to set up this DSL modem / router on Sunday to replace my old Billion router. I set it up with DHCP and running on IP 192.168.1.254.Last night, the power tripped, and when everything came up again the entire network was dead - PC's were not getting IP's from DHCP.I connected a known working cable directly from laptop to router and attempted to access 192.168.1.254, nothing.So I reset the router and try again to the default IP 192.168.1.1. Nothing. Tried another PC, nothing.Restart router, try again, nothing. Plugged into my other router and try again, nothing. WCS is reporting few AP's are not associated with it. While troubleshooting, AP conneceted switch interface shows UP/UP and show power inline output gives IEEE PD instead of AIR-LAP1131AG-E-K, after doing a shut/no shut on AP connected interface. Later after sometime AP comes up.

Here is the problem: There is another AP with external power adapter has join the the WLC successfully. But it can not enable the radio 802.11b. Following is the error message on CLI

Since few days the WLC 2100 series controller and 3x LAP1131AG are getting disconnected and the controller gets offline via the local ip address. At that point I have to reboot. To get anywhere and after I connect wirelessly to the AP before I know it it disconnects. It worked for 3 years straight no fuss. And now nothing. I reconfigured the WLC 10times and no diffference.

The funny thing i have noticed is that both the WLC and the AP cannot PING each other.
Does any body know what is the maximum of simultaneous connections that the AIR-LAP1131AG-E-K9 access point supports?

View 1 Replies View RelatedI'm trying to add some 2800 series routers to our monitoring environment, but I can't get them discovered.
On the Mgmt Server I need to go through a "discovery" process to add the 2800 to the system. For this I target the internal interface ( i) but the discovery fails. I'm assuming the packets are getting dropped on the outside interface (e). I know SNMP is set up correctly and works as I had PRTG installed on a local box (p) for testing purposes.
The intention is to do the data gathering via a proxy agent (p), so enableing SNMP on the outside interface is not going to do me any good.What do I need to do to let those discovery packets pass through? At least temporarily?
